MCT ~ Made In Minutes

Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We did even though it literally rained, okay there were torrential downpours, the entire weekend! If I see another drop of rain in the next day or so, I may seriously loose my mind!  The good thing is that we spent tons of time as a family and that was awesome!
Today is Made in Minutes over at My Creative Time. This is when Emma and the design team make cards that literally are made with in 20 minutes or so. I think the longest part in making my card was my little pom~pom and trust me, that was less than 5 minutes! I was fortunate enough to have a white cone and ice cream scoop die cut already cut out in white. Yep ~ that is how I made my birthday party hat.  I snipped the top part of the ice cream scoop and made the brim for my hat. These dies can be found in the stamp/die set, You Make Life Sweet. My sentiments are from Chalkboard Birthday. I daringly cut the candle stamp so I can have the sentiment and the image separate. I am always so scared to do this but I took a chance and I am happy I did it! I white heat embossed them of course. Of course I had to use the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More. That's it ~ super simple and I think it turned out pretty cute too!
Materials Used:
Paper ~ PTI
Twine
Ink ~ SU and VersaMark

Well that is it for today, make sure you head over to Emma's blog to see what the designers have created!

MCT ~ Scrapping the Little Things

Good morning and happy Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I know we did and enjoyed family time together. Just seems lately there isn't enough time for much of that. I know I have been MIA on all of your blogs and I do apologize. With our in house baseball team in the championships ( my sons team won) tournament baseball and the end of school, I have been a mad woman running around. Plus the hubs is super busy this time of year with work, so I have been a tad crazy. Hopefully soon I can get back into the rhythm of some normalcy??? HA!
Any way today is Scrapping the Little Things over at My Creative Time with Emma and the design team. We try our best to keep our scrap books in sight so we aren't decades behind! YIKES ~ I will be this Fall when my son turns 10!
Today I thought I would scrap my sons 4th grade field trip. They went to the Aviary. I wasn't able to attend this year but lucky for me 2 of my friends went and captured this day for me! My son got pooped on by a bird! When I started getting tons of texts, I started to worry but they were just sharing with me the pictures of him and what had happened. They gave him this pin, I guess all guests receive one if this happens while they are there visiting. Now you are probably wondering why the lottery tickets. Well supposedly if you get pooped on by a bird it's good luck. So as soon as Ryan came home from school that day we went and played the lottery! We ended up winning $6! Now I didn't find that out until I did this layout. I didn't want to attach the tickets until I had them checked. If I go missing, I won big time, since I used the $6 winnings to play more and I am on some island sipping some fruity drink and soaking up the sun! Ha!
I am only going to talk about a few of the My Creative Time products I used but will list everything below. Since Emma just released the set, Already Missing You, and it had a flamingo ~ hello aviary, how could I not use it! Then for the splat of poop, I pulled out the Family is Everything set, how perfect is that?? I wanted to highlight the poop by using the Stitched Mini Frame & Arrow Dies. The grids where I wrote and misspelt "supposedly" (smh) is from Get Schooled. Super simple and nothing to fancy to capture this day!

Materials Used:
Tweet Me ~ bird splat poop
Get Schooled ~ grid lines
Paper ~ PTI and DCWV
Ink ~ Memento, Tim Holtz, Su and VersaMark
white embossing powder
Copic markers

MCT 44th Edition Sneak Peek Day#4

Welcome to the last day of the 44th Edition of the My Creative Time Sneak Peeks with Emma and the design team. Today we are sneaking the most ADORABLE set called Hello Baby! Oh my, when Emma designed this set she thought of everything! From sentiments. images and dies. This comes in handy for so many reason, from friends having babies to possibly getting some of my son's scrap book caught up!
For my card today I had to use this cute little onsie die! Oh my there are so many wonderful things we can create with this set! I thought I would try and mimic the little shirts I see on Facebook when someone's little one turns 1 month old etc. I actually plan on making one of these cards in the future! But instead I thought I would just use one of  the many sentiments from this set. Those little toes and the safety pin also come with this set. Aren't they ADORBS!!! I stamped my sentiment on a die from the die set, Fun Stitched Tag Dies.

Paper ~ PTI, Bazzill and EP

MCT 44th Edition Sneak Peek Day #3

Today is Day#3 of the June My Creative Time Sneak Peeks with Emma and the design team! Oh my you are going to LOVE today! Emma has designed the cutest little set today ~ it's all about flamingos! This set is called Already Missing You and let me be the first to say , it is just too amazing! Between the flamingos, the sentiments, which you can build different sayings and the dies, I just adore this set.
Flamingos are seriously so beautiful! The way the colors flow from dark shades of pink to lighter shades with hints of white make them simply a stunning bird. I tried to achieve the look by using my Copic markers, obviously I am no expert but boy do I love to look at these birds. I thought this sentiment was a fun one to use because I feel this way about many of my friends.   I found this fun flamingo paper and just had to use it! If you are trying to determine how large the flamingos are, I used the third largest oval from the Scalloped Stitched Oval Dies. I did pop it up with some kids foam to give it a little dimension.
Materials Used:
Paper ~ PTI and EP
Ribbon ~ PTI
Ink ~ VersaMark and Archival
Doodlebug sprinkles/enamel dots
children foam

MCT 44th Edition Sneak Peek Day #1

Good morning! Today starts Day #1 of the June Sneak Peeks over at My Creative Time with Emma and the design team! This week will be jammed packed with some amazing new products that Emma has designed! I know myself and the design team can't wait to share these amazing new products along with our creations!

Today is all about the new Bunch of Stitched Doily Dies. There are a total of 4 different sized doilies in this set. What I love about these doilies is that they an be used in so many various ways. I think they can make the cutest little tags or center pieces on a package. I thought why not dress up a boring candy treat for my son's teachers just to say Thank You for all your support this year. I didn't leave out his bus driver either! What I love about the doily I used today is that the largest circle form the Bunch of Fun Circles Dies can be used to back this particular doily! Awesome right? I just stuffed some candy in this little fruit carton, added a little gift card to boot and I called it a day! So simple to mass produce too! As always I will keep my posts short this week so you don't miss a thing and list all other materials used below the picture!

For my project today I wanted to share a new or should I say a revised stamp set, My Little Firecracker, that Emma has designed.  This new revamped set has the CUTEST little firecracker die and the sweetest little star dies that come with this set! There are some new sentiments along with some original ones! I think this is a must have set regardless if you own it or not just for the firecracker!
Now with all this said I couldn't help myself but use the Milk Carton Die along with the firecracker die to make a sweet little window. MCT ~ Designer Challenge

Good morning! I hope you all are having a FABULOUS week! I know I am, with tons happening in our household with school activities, baseball and just enjoying life.
Today Emma and the My Creative Time designers have a new Designers Challenge for you! It is a color, sketch and photo inspiration one this time around!
I have to say, I loved the colors and the picture. I took a very different approach for my project this time around. I wanted to incorporate all the colors but bring some of the elements from the photo. With that said, I had to pull out the Stitched Umbrella Die and added a linen look to it by using a stamp from the Build a Banner Kit. I figured the umbrella in the picture was linen. Then I decided to use the Grainy Wood Background because the furniture looks like it could be teak wood??? The lush green shrubs stood out to me too and used the stems from the die set, Stitched Pretty Flowers & Leaves Dies to fill my umbrella in. My flowers are  from the Seasonal Greetings set and my sentiment is from Thanks For the Lift set. Super simple and easy to create!

Materials Used:
Paper ~ PTI
