Another Flower Card

So I made this card for a couple challenges. I used Walk In My Garden cartridge for the flower, embossed the white parts of the flower with Tiny Bubbles and made the base of the card from Wild Card cartridge. I added some ribbon to bring some color! I am entering this at My Creative Time, the Jitterbuggin Challenge and Fantabulous Cricut Challenge. I hope you enjoy!

Whimsical Wednesday Challenge~ Stressed

This week over at Whimsical Wednesday Stephanie and Margie are have a challenge all about STRESS... you need to distress anything and everything you can! Love this challenge because I have been under  a lot of stress lately! LOL. So you can use ANY distressing technique you would like for your project. I chose to tear! Love to tear! I also inked just a little, used my Divine Swirl folder, sanded it a bit and used NO Cricut for this card! I also used my new favorite thing... wire! Love to play with it. I hope you enjoy!

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Sketch Challenge #46

I am back for another challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps. This week we are asked to follow the sketch provided. I love sketches and theirs are so fun to follow. I wanted to make it simple and clean looking as possible. I played around with the ribbon to try and make it look like a flower... Iactually loved how this turned out. I used Stampin Up paper, my PK Snow Cutie Face stamps, PTI ribbon, Twinery twine, gel pen and My Creative Time Stamps for the sentiment. Okay with all that said... you all can see that I have been shopping a lot!
Hope you enjoy... off to hopefully another project!

Another Valentine's Day Card

Hello everyone! I made this card with 2 challenges in mind. The 1st challenge is Whimsical Wednesday Challenge that Stephanie over at Always Crafting and Frosted Designs.  Stephanie is asking us to make a Valentine/ Love themed project with a heart, flower and one cricut cut. The Frosted Design wants us to use pink, red and white. I seem to love flowers lately... so red and white were perfect for me. Now for Whimsical Wednesday's challenge, I cut hearts, 3 different sizes, from the George and Basic Shapes cartridges. I used plain paper, stamped them with some stamps, inked and crinkled them a little, laid them out by size, added a brad to form my flower.  So I tied those 2 elements into one! I really like how this turned out, very basic with a little flair! Please go check out these challenges because they have some great crafty people!

Thanks for stopping by!

A Non Traditional Valentine

This week over Sherri over at The Jitterbuggin Challenge is asking us to make a non traditional Valentine card. We are not allowed to use PINK or RED! I love it... I am actually excited about this challenge... making us think outside the box! You must use something from your Cricut. I chose the colors blue and brown... very NON traditional colors. I chose the Walk In My Garden cartridge. I cut the daisy 4 different sizes, layered them and put a brad to fasten them together.  A My Creative Time stamp and a little ribbon.  I actually like how very simple but to the point this card turned out. I hope you enjoy and get the opportunity to play along too!

The Cuttlebug Spot ~ Tri-Fold Valentine

This week over at The Cuttlebug Spot their challenge is to make a Tri-fold Valentine card.  Well I decided to make a Gatefold card... I think this is what they call it. I have never made a tri-fold card before so I was up for the challenge! I used my Cuttlebug Stylized Flower folder and sanded it a bit. I also decided to use the spellbinders large deck rectangles, layered them, for my sentiment. The sentiment is from Stampin Up. I really wanted to make this a simple, clean and straight to the point card for my husband. He travels for his job and I think he will be out of town for Valentines Day. I plan on sneaking this into his brief case, just to reassure him that its okay he isn't here with me! Hope you enjoy!

Jitterbuggin Challenge Sketch #32

The Jitterbuggin Challenge for this week is having a challenge to let the sunshine in! I totally agree! We have had nothing but snow, ice and gloomy weather! So you must follow the sketch, use yellow and have something with a stripe on it! You must use something from the cricut too! I love this whole concept! So I used the cartridge Wild Card cartridge... use the flower and cut into a few different sizes with different paper. I inked up the edges with some Tim Holtz ink, used the sentiment from My Pink Stamper, a few buttons, some ribbon and all the paper is from my HUGE pile of scraps! Yes... scraps that seem to keep piling up! I actually liked how this turned out ~ I hope you enjoy!
