MCT ~ Scrapping The Little Things

Happy Earth Day! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! We did except it was cold and we had some snow flurries here! Crazy right??? It was cold enough here that I actually made a pot of chili! Just a few days earlier it was 80 degrees! Western Pa weather is something else!
Anyway today is "Scrapping The Little Things" over at My Creative Time with Emma and the design team. Since it is Earth Day we decided to use something recycled on our pages. I decided to use a pair of old jeans of my sons and some chip board for my layout.  I LOVE Emma's new " Stitched Journal Die" and "Journal It Stamp Set" .  I love the fact that Emma's "new" stamps and dies work so PERFECTLY with her older stamps and dies! I will list all the other details below my picture, it is so much easier to do and less time for you all to read! I also will announce my winners from my guest Design spot over at Joy's blog, Obsessed With Scrapbooking, as well!

My Creative Time April Release Blog Hop

If your looking for my post for Joy's blog ~ Obsessed With Scrapbooking click here.

Good morning! The time has arrived to show you all My Creative Time's BIG release! YEAH!! I am so excited because Emma truly out did herself again! This release was so FUN to create with and we have only touched the surface! I am going to try to keep this really BRIEF because I don't want you to miss one single project!

You should have arrived from the very creative Miss Katie's blog! If not that is okay you can start over at Emma's blog by clicking here. I will include the complete list of the blog hop below just in case you stumbled by or got lost along the way!
For my project I used the new "Stitched Daisy Die" and it comes in three separate parts! I have to tell you when I first saw this I was so excited! First my FAVORITE flower is a daisy! Seriously! I LOVE the regular plain old daisy! Then one of my ALL time FAVORITE movie is "Please, Don't Eat the Daisies" starring Doris Day! It's an oldie but the cutest movie ever! I decided to cut the actual petal part out 2 times. I layered the petals but curled the top petals for a little dimension. I pop dotted my center. For my frame, I used the new "Stitched "Capture" Frame with Arrow Die". This FABULOUS die comes with the frame and an arrow. Even though I didn't use the arrow for my project today ~ I can see that arrow coming in handy for so many things in the future! My sentiment is from the new stamp set "Life Is Good" stamp set. I just fell in love with this sentiment, actually ALL the sentiments from this stamp set are so awesome! I will list all my materials below.

Materials Used:
My Creative Time ~ "Stitched Daisy Die" ~ daisy
My Creative Time  ~ "Stitched "Capture" Frame with Arrow Die" ~ frame
My Creative Time ~ "Life Is Good" ~ sentiment
My Creative Time  ~ "Stitched Leaves Dies" ~
My Creative Time ~ "Fly Away With Me Dies" ~ cloud
Cuttlebug Embossing folder ~ Pinking Stitch
Paper ~ Paper Trey Ink, Simple Stories and  DCWV ~ Citrus
May Arts Ribbon

Sweet Mom Card

Happy Friday! Kim here, from Scrapin Mom Of One Inspiring Little Boy. Today is my last day as guest designer at Obsessed With Scrapbooking.  I want to thank you all for making this such a fun week for me! I have enjoyed reading all of your sweet comments. A HUGE Thank You to Joy for graciously inviting me this whole week ~ huge hugs to you!
Okay there are a ton of things going on today, so I promise not to keep you all long! I have shared cards this week that revolve around events that are coming up in my life, using My Creative Time's new release. This last card is for someone extremely precious to me ~ my Mom! She has been through a great deal the past few years. She always has her chin up and forges forward! She is such a "SWEET" and giving person. I don't tell her enough how much I love her!
I bought the cartridge, Spring Cottage, specifically for the window cut and never even opened the box! Sad, right?? So since I like my cards with dimension, I cut it out 2 times, so I could pop dot it and add acetate for the glass look! I don't think you can even see this in my picture.  This cut has a flower box, leaves(??), and flowers (which I did not cut out). I cut the leaves out 2 times because I wanted a fuller look. Then I decide my flower box need to be scored, just to add a little detail! I inked everything up! My little flowers are from scraps from the "Stitched Button Dies" that I had laying around. The sentiment "Sweet"  is from the new stamp set "Life is Good". My "mommy" sentiment is from an oldie, but goody, "Mom You Rock" . I did emboss the background with a new folder I bought awhile ago. Of course my little signs are from dies, and I will list them below! The BEAUTIFUL button and hemp are from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.  I hope my mom likes her card.

Materials Used:

Cricut Cartridge ~ Spring Cottage ~ window, leaves and flower box
My Creative Time ~ "Life Is Good" ~ Sweet sentiment
My Creative Time ~ "Mom You Rock" ~ mommy sentiment
My Creative Time ~ "Chunky Jars Accessories" ~ die with mommy on it
My Creative Time ~ "Stitched Ticket Die" ~ ticket
My Creative Time ~ "Stitched Button Dies" ~ flowers
Liz's Paper Loft Boutique ~ clear button and hemp
Paper ~ Paper Trey Ink & Acetate and scraps for my  stash for the flowers
Embossing folder from the James' Set
Ink ~ Archival and Tim Holtz
 Ribbon from Paper Trey Ink
Clear embossing power
brad

Now don't forget today is My Creative Time April Release! So make sure you hop along with us to see some super inspiring creations! Also remember the giveaways that Emma and I are having! My giveaway are 2 of my FAVORITE places to shop!

"Best Day Ever"

If your looking for the My Creative Time April Sneak Peek Day #4, click here.

Good morning, this is Kim from Scrapin Mom of One Inspiring Little Boy.  Today is my fourth day guest designing at Joy's blog! I must say, I have been enjoying reading your comments ~ Thank You so much!
Today I will be showcasing the new stamp set from My Creative Time's  release,  "We Are Family".  I have a sweet friend who is getting married late Spring. So I thought I would think ahead and make her a wedding easel card. Well when I first saw these little potty people, I had to use them with the sentiment "Best day EVER!" on these little banner dies. I think they work so wonderfully together. I knew that the Tie The Knot cartridge has the CUTEST church and wanted my happy couple to be in it. So after cutting out my church,  I thought it needed a little something ~ but what? My church needed some siding! I just scored some lines for a little dimension. The pictures don't do it justice at all but I love it in person.  I decided to accent my windows and bell with hearts. Of course I couldn't leave with out adding an adorable stitched little cloud ~ love clouds!
For the inside of the easel card I couldn't resist using an older but PERFECT sentiment with the "Stitched Ticket Die". I hope my friend and her new hubby like their card, but most importantly that they have a future filled with happiness!

Material Used:

Cricut Cartridge ~ Tie The Knot ~ church (cut @ 5.33)
My Creative Time ~ "We Are Family" ~ potty people & sentiment on church
My Creative Time ~  "Fly Away With Me Sentiments ~ banner die
My Creative Time ~ "Fly Away With Me Dies" ~ clouds
My Creative Time ~ "Stitched Layering Heart Dies" ~ heart on windows, bell and inside
My Creative Time ~ "Many Greetings" ~ sentiment on inside
My Creative Time ~ " Stitched Ticket Dies" ~ tickets
Paper ~ Paper Trey Ink, Bella Carta (Devoted) EP ( bought at Liz's Paper Loft Boutique)
Ink ~ Archival, Versa Mark and  Stampin Up
Clear Embossing powder
Ribbon from my stash

MCT April Sneak Peek Day #4

Good morning! It's day #4 for My Creative Time April Sneak Peeks! Aren't you LOVING what Emma has created for all of us! I know I LOVE it and can't wait to create some more with this FABULOUS release! There are four new stamp sets being featured today, "Journal It",   "Stitched Journal Die",  "You Are Here" , "We Are Family" and the "Stitched Restroom Peeps".

Today I decided NOT to make a traditional card. I wanted to make a postage kind of a card. I wanted something on the front but the ability to write a little note on the back! See this is going to my husband. On April 23, 2011, almost 20 years ago we went out on our first date! It was the BEST date I have ever had and I still adore him! Yes ~ we have had  some ups and some downs, but truly I couldn't live without him!

My little image and sentiment if from the stamp set "We Are Family" ~ aren't these ADORABLE! I thought the image fit PERFECTLY in the  new "Stitched Mini Frame & Arrow" . I did cute down the middle part so I could matte and pop dot in against the yellow just to add some dimension. Now for another little sneak I used the new "Journal It" stamp set and the new "Journal it Die". I can see me using these new sets for a lot! Just not for PL sort of stuff but for cards, tags, mini book and so much more! I also used the "Stitched Layer Heart Dies" and the "Just Simply Live" stamp set for my number of the day and the year. I think this combo new and older goes amazingly together! My fun pattern paper and seam binding come from my sweet friend, Liz's Paper Loft Boutique. She not only carries these amazing items but so much more!

I know these colors don't scream romance but these are some of his favorite colors!

Just a reminder I am super excited that Miss Joy, Obsessed With Scrapbooking , has   graciously asked me to guest design for her all week! I am still over the moon with excitement! You can see my starting posts on her blog here and on my blog here!

But lets not forget about Emma's AWESOME news too!

Sneak Peek Giveaway Time!
With all of our Sneak Peek weeks, Emma likes to do some FUN giveaways!
We would like to announce a winner everyday day, so this is what you have to do to qualify:   All you have to do is leave comments on our blogs! You do NOT have to comment on every blog, BUT if you do, you will just have more chances to win! The thing we are switching up this time, Emma will be picking a winner that night & announcing the winner the next morning! Example: for Monday's sneak, leave your comments here & share on Facebook, then Emma will announce the winner (for Monday) Tuesday morning! That means a winner will be announced every day during sneaks!

Gift Bag Birthday Card

Hello ~ Happy Wednesday! Today is day 3 of my guest designing on Joy's blog and the My Creative Time Sneak Peeks! I hope you all have enjoyed this week so far! I am still having so much fun, and I hope you all are too! Let's get right to my card today!
Well today I will be showcasing the stamp set "It's All About You" . There is a coordinating die called "Stitched Mini Frame and Arrow" ( SOLD separately). Some other ladies on the design team will be showcasing some other stamps and dies. Just head on over to Emma's blog to see ALL the fabulous creations! I promise you are going to want this whole entire release ~ you are going to LOVE them!
For my card today I needed to make a card for someone special in my life, and there is this PERFECT sentiment on the "It's All About You" stamp set! This special person LOVES to shop, so I searched through my cartridges for a bag. I found this bag on 3 Birds on Parade cartridge. Now you are probably thinking, "What?  Where???" On page 39, there is this cute little ghost bird holding his little treat bag! I enlarged the image on the layer 1 button. This bag has jagged edges on the top but I knew that wasn't going to be an issue because I wanted to add some boa! Now, my sentiment is heat embossed on a scrap piece of paper that came from the "Stitched Postage Frame Die" . My balloons were created with the dies from the "Warm Holiday Fun" stamp set. I added some twine, and this card was complete! Something quick and simple, right??

Materials Used:

Circut Cartridge ~ 3 Birds on Parade ~ gift bag ( cut @ 13.75)
My Creative Time ~ "It's All About You" ~ sentiment
My Creative Time ~ "Stitched Postage Frame Die" ~ paper that comes from the center
My Creative Time ~ "Warm Holiday Fun" ~ dies for my balloons
Paper ~ Paper Trey Ink, Simple Stories and Paper Company
Twinery Twine
Ink ~ Archival
Ribbon ~ Paper Trey Ink
Boa

You Make Me Happy When Skies Are Grey!

Good morning! It's Kim again! Lots going on this week! I am on day #2 of guest designing at Miss Joy's blog,  Obsessed With Scrapbooking, and day #2 of My Creative Time Sneak Peeks! What a FUN week I am having! Thank You Joy for having me this week and Miss Emma for coming out with such an AMAZING release! Now don't forget to head on over and check out all the details over at Emma's blog ~ trust me you don't want to miss out! But I will give you a little hint about her giveaway at the end of my post! I am really trying my hardest to keep my posts very brief all week!
Today Emma and the design team will be showcasing the "I'm Here for you Rain or Shine" stamp set with 3 different dies! The "Stitched Umbrella Die",  "Stitched Boots" and the "Stitched Daisy Die" . Now don't go looking for these at My Creative Time's shop just yet ~ they will be there this Friday for you all to purchase! I LOVE this release more than words right now! There are so many awesome sentiments, little images, and, of course, the dies!
But for today's card I decided to not use any of the new dies! I decided I would use my Cricut again! So I found these boots on the Nate's ABCs cartridge. Since I like tons of dimension, I cut each layer out twice. I wanted them to look like the real rubber boots - all shiny! I achieved this look by pressing my cuts onto a Versa Mark ink pad. Then I scooped some UTEE over them and used my heat gun. I let the first layer dry and then repeated again. I did this at least 2 times. Once the cuts dried, I just adhered them all together. The boots from this cartridge did not have handles on them, but that was no problem. I just took thick wire and made them myself. I just taped down the wire on the back of the boots!  Easy, right? Then for my background, I just took a  sponge dauber and some blue ink. The clouds were my final touch! I just LOVE how Emma's dies have her signature stitching on them! The little water marks under my boots are from this set as well! My cute little sentiment is from this stamp set, and I thought it fit perfectly with my card. I have to say I LOVE how these boots turned out! I rarely ever say that about my creations but these in person are so ADORABLE!!
I told you Emma has left nothing out of this release!

Materials Used:

Cricut Cartridge ~ Nate's ABC's ~ boots
My Creative Time ~ "I'm Here for you Rain or Shine" ~ sentiment and watermark
My Creative Time ~ "Fly Away With Me Dies" ~ clouds
My Creative Time ~ "Vintage Stitched Label Dies" ~ die with sentiment
Paper ~ Paper Trey Ink
Ink ~ Archival and Memento
Versa Mark
UTEE
Copic
Ribbon from M's
Wire from J's

Thank You for stopping by but don't forget ~

Brightening My Day Card

Happy Monday! I am so thrilled that Joy, from Obsessed With Scrapbooking, is having me guest design this week on her blog! Thank You for being so super sweet and kind, Joy! Plus, this couldn't happen at a more perfect time! Do you know why?? Emma, from My Creative Time, is having a HUGE release this week ~ YEAH!!  Today is Day #1 of Sneak Peeks. Head on over to see all the amazing projects the MCT ladies have created for today! Click here for all the details. This release is seriously jam packed with endless possibilities! You can see more of my projects over at my blog, Scrapin Mom Of One Inspiring Little Boy, if you would like.

Okay I promised to keep my posts as short as I possibly can this week, but I LOVE to talk! LOL! I will list all my materials below my pictures all week. Just to let you know,  I have a habit of adding a great deal of dimension to my cards, so that my A2 cards never fit into a normal A2 sized envelope! But never fear, that is why there are glassine bags. I will tell you where I purchase them in my list below!

For my card today I am using the new stamp set "You're Brilliant" . I wanted to play on the words of this sentiment by using a lamp and phone. With today's technology driven world, hearing a voice every once in a while is so nice! This stamp set has so many PERFECT sentiments on it! I decided I wanted to create a little scene here today! I pulled out my Kate's ABC cartridge and found this cute little lamp and table. I cut out the lamp shade twice and pop dotted for dimension. My sentiment fit perfectly in the MCT frame die. I even cut my paper in half to give my wallpaper a seam! LOL! Most of this card was done with scraps I had laying around! I scored a scrap piece of paper for my baseboard as well. To make my twine curly I used glue and water around a pencil! I also LOVE to clear heat emboss my sentiments. A real simple card right! There is also something on my card that will be coming up this week! Shhhh ~ don't tell anyone ~ I snuck this in!

Materials Used:

Cricut Cartridge ~ Kate's ABC's ~ lamp (cut @ 4.71) and table (cut @ 3.24)
My Creative Time ~ "You're Brilliant" ~ sentiment and light bulb
My Creative Time ~ "Stitched Postage Frame" ~ picture frame
Liz's Paper Loft Boutique ~ hemp and where I buy my glassine bags
Paper ~ Paper Trey Ink and DCWV ~ Citrus
 Timeless Twine
Clear Embossing powder, Ink and Sakura pen

I will be here all week with more fun cards to share with you all featuring something everyday from this release! I hope you enjoy and see you back here tomorrow!
But wait there is more ~ just keep reading!

MCT ~ Designer Challenge

Happy Thursday! I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far! I promise not to keep you all too long today.  Miss Cassandra, from Creating With Color, will be hosting this Designer Challenge over at Emma's blog ~ My Creative Time. If you know anything about Cassandra she is ALL about color ~ so it's a COLOR challenge! YEAH! Create a project of your choice using any 3 of the following 6 colors of the rainbow ~ Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue or Purple. For a more difficult challenge if you dare ~ use ALL six colors. You can click here to see all the design teams FABULOUS creations!

For my card today I wanted to keep it clean and simple, something I seem to struggle with! I was inspired by one of my fellow design team sisters, Miss Nikki ( you can see her post here) on one of her cards from the last release. She used the "Treat Slider Box" ~ (PRE-ORDER ONLY ITEM ~ LOVE this die) for a shaped card! I thought that was so cool ~ so I had to give it a try. I took a thinner card stock and folded it in half and ran it through my Big Shot.  Then die cut it out again 2 more times so I can have the feel of a thicker card. I love my PTI paper too much not to use it! I just adhered them to the thinner card base. Can't even tell I did all that to this simple card. I then pulled out my "Stitched Button Dies" and used the CUTE flower buttons. I like to have my buttons thick, so I used a cereal box for some chipboard. My Xyron is always at arms length and totally perfect for adhering chipboard and paper together! My hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique was the perfect touch for these cute flower buttons.  My sentiment is from the stamp set "More Of My Favorite Sayings" . I seem to like to clear emboss my sentiments lately ~ gives it a cool feel and look! Not that you can see or feel it ~ sorry.

That's it! Simple right! I am a tad shocked at myself ~ there isn't even ribbon on my card! WOW this might be the first time ever this has happened! LOL!

We hope you can join us for this challenge ~ Thanks Cassandra for hosting this FUN and COLORFUL challenge!
