Throwback Thursday ~ "Do Over"

Good morning! Hope you all are having a fabulous week so far! It's almost the weekend! YAY!!
Today over at My Creative Time, Emma and the design team will be doing a Throwback Thursday ~ "Do Over"! This is when we find a card we created and just redo it! Now I have to say this was a tough challenge. Not because of finding a card but just picking one!
So I didn't have to go back too far to find one and to be honest I am scared to look back when I first started crafting/blogging! Heck just looking back a year could be frightful!
So with the card I chose to do over, I thought I had too many patterns going on and made it rather busy looking! We all know I add a ton to my cards, so I thought lets keep make this card clean and simple.  I wanted to use some of the same My Creative Time products as possible but show how different it could look. I sure hope this all makes sense because I am having a hard time concentrating because I can hear my son coughing in the other room...poor thing just started this right after school! UGH! So I need to make this super short...
Chosen Do Over Card. Click here for details.

My Do Over card
I think using a bigger oval for the vines, solid soft colors and a white background changed it up a lot! What do you think??

Inspiration Wednesday

Good morning! Today is Inspiration Wednesday with Emma and the My Creative Time design team! This is when we pick a picture, colors, an object ~ just anything that inspires us and create whatever our heart desires.
Well during the My Creative Time January Release, my friend Liz and fellow design team member made this AMAZING project. Click here for all the details on Liz's project. I LOVED everything about it, especially what she used for her arrow! Who would have known that the Stitched Chevy Dies were so PERFECT for the end of an arrow ~ Liz did! Now my colors are totally different and mine is a card but don't you LOVE how Liz did her arrow let alone her ADORABLE treat holder! EEK! So I sat here thinking of all the My Creative Time dies I would need but couldn't figure out what I could use for the body part of the arrow. Then a little light went off ~ straws! My sweet friend Cassandra sent me some straws awhile back! Thanks Cassandra, these worked out PERFECTLY!!! I didn't want to over do it on this card because I tend to add way too much to my cards, something I am working on here! LOL! I will list all the details below.

Favorite Stamp/Die of the Month

Today we are featuring another "My FAVORITE stamp OR die of the Month!  This month we are featuring one of my FAVE dies "Teeny Tag Layering Dies!".  If this set of dies have been on your wish list, you can pick this set up here at a discount price: http://shop.my-creative-time.com/Teeny-Tag-Layering-Dies-MCT-D19.htm?categoryId=-1
This set will be on sale for the entire month of January! The sale will end on January 31, 2015 @ 12:00am PST!

I LOVE when Emma over at My Creative Time features a stamp or die of the month because it not only goes on sale but makes me want to create with it, especially if I haven't used it in awhile. Well I must admit, I have 3 sets of these because these are seriously PERFECT and easy to mass produce for many occasions.
For my project today I thought I would show you something super simple you could create for those "special" people in your life or for a Valentines day treat for classmates. I simply took the big heart from the die set, Stitched Sweetheart & XOXO Dies, and die cut them out in pink and white. I took the smallest heart from this set and die cut those out on my pink heart. It gives it a little detail without too much fuss. Then I used our feature dies this month, Teeny Tag Layering Dies and the stamp set, Teeny Tag Greetings, for a sweet sentiment tag! Added a little ribbon for   bit of splash and done! See super simple to mass produce!
Materials Used:
Paper ~ PTI and Bazzill
Ink ~ VersaFine and VersaMark
ribbon ~ Etsy
 Timeless Twine
clear embossing powder

Well that is it for me today, make sure you head on over to Emma's blog, click here, to see what the other design team members have created for you all! Thanks for always being so sweet and kind. I will be back tomorrow with another project!
Also stay safe out there if you are affected by this snow storm!

MCT ~ What a Treat Wednesday

Good morning! Today over at My Creative Time it's What a Treat Wednesday! This is when Emma and the design team create any type of treat we want! I knew I wanted to use the new dies from the Stitched Puzzle Pieces Dies and the stamp set, The Last Piece to Our Family because I wanted to use Reese's pieces for my candy/treat. I thought the play with words for this candy was sort of fun! But I didn't know exactly how I wanted to present them. I was talking with my design team member/friend, Ruthie, and this  idea was born! Thanks Ruthie for all the help! So I took the largest rectangular die from the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More and scored it at 7/8, then flipped it around and scored it 1 1/4. By scoring at these measurements, it gives it a little overlap to seal in the back. I die cut out my window using the Stitched Puzzle Pieces Dies. I added some score tape at the bottom so the yummy Reese's candies wouldn't fall out. Once I filled my little container with candy I added score tape to the top and punched a hole for my tag.
Materials Used:
You Made My Heart Smile ~ dot to make background paper
(inspired by a few of my fellow DT sisters)
Stitched Round Tab, Arrow & Tag Dies
Paper ~ PTI
Ribbon ~ PTI
Ink ~ VersaFine, VersaMark and Archival
clear embossing powder

That is all for me today! Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what Emma and the design team has created today!

MCT ~ Made In Minutes

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We had a fabulous weekend here because we went to my best friends house. We had a wonderful dinner that her husband made for us. Now he is not a chef or anything like that but it was so nice not to cook ( the meal was YUMMY), spend time with her family and just laugh! We have been friends for over 25  years and I treasure every memory we have. You are probably wondering why I am writing all this ~ I am making sure she reads my blog! Ha!
So today is Made In Minutes over at My Creative Time with Emma and the design team. This is when we create a project that only takes a few minutes to make. We all have busy and hectic schedules, so making something super fast and quick is our goal.
I can't tell you enough how I LOVED the January release that Emma just had. So many wonderful stamps and dies in that release. I adore the telephone die in the Best Bots Forever stamp/die set and the fonts from the stamp set The Last Piece to Our Family. So since my BFF and I are totally phone~aholics, we spend endless hours talking to each other with headsets attached to our phone and clipped to our pants. Yep ~ the kind you see when you go thru a drive~thru restaurant! Our husbands think we are crazy and never know if we are talking to them or to each other. LOL! Anyway, I thought this would be fun to sent to a friend who I haven't chatted with in awhile! Super easy, quick and to the point!

Paper ~ PTI and MME
Ribbon ~ May Arts

My Creative Time ~ 39th Edition Blog Hop

Welcome to the My Creative Time 39th Edition Release Blog Hop! You should have arrived from the very talented and creative Miss Katie's blog, if not you can start over at Emma's blog or I will have a complete blog hop listed below! We also have a very special guest with us this month ~ welcome Audrey!
Well I hope you all have LOVED this release as much as I loved it! It was so fun creating with this release and I can't wait to share more with you all! Endless possibilities!!!
Today I will be sharing a little card I made using the Best Bots Forever  and Heart 2 Heart Love Frame Dies. I just ADORE these little robots! Don't they make the CUTEST couple! I colored them with some Copic markers and added a little Wink of Stella to give them a little shine. It is a tad hard to see it in my picture but trust me it is there! I thought why not make a shape card using the new heart dies but add a little depth. So I die cut an oval out using the Scalloped Stitched Oval Dies and then laid the new heart die over it. I really like how this looks. Then for the inside of my card, I used another die from the Heart 2 Heart Love Frame Dies that has the word "love" to it. It totally finishes the inside PERFECTLY! Seriously Emma has out done herself with this release!
Well your next stop should be the very talented and amazing Miss Liz

MCT ~ Scrapping The Little Things

Hello crafty friends! It feels so good to be back after a little crafty vacation! I LOVE to craft but it was so great to spend quality time with my amazing family! I love and adore them!
Well with that said, today Emma and the design team are working on our scrapbooks! I know I say this all the time but I don't do enough pages. Hopefully this year, once I get a new photo printer, I can concentrate more time on it. It is so important to document our time here on earth...maybe I should set a goal for myself...hmmmm!
So I thought for todays page I would start with a page celebrating 2015! I figure if I have this page done I would be more motivated to continue documenting the rest of the year! I will let you know how this goes...wish me luck!
I wanted to try and use just a few colors for this page ~ soft but with some shine. So Kraft, vellum, silver, gold, news print ( life is always packed with stories right??) and then a pop of red. I used circles to represent the ball dropping and how life is constantly going. I sure hope that last one made sense???
I will list all products used under each individual card...

Materials Used
Paper ~ PTI, SU, Vellum, Recollections & The Paper Company
sequins
Now for this card I printed Auld Lange Syne on vellum paper and my mock Time's Square ball is filled with the word die "celebrate" from Tag Die Layers and the little confetti dies from the 4x4 Journal Die + More.

Materials Used:
Stitched Journal Die
Paper ~ PTI, SU, Recollections, vellum and acetate
For this card I wanted to share what I want to accomplish for the new year... exercise, taking more pictures, eat healthier, enjoy coffee with friends or maybe drink less coffee?? Also talk to people more... not text as much.. hear someone's voice!!! Technology is great but hearing someone's voice is more special to me. But last but not least...LOVE my family even more!

Materials Used:
Paper ~ PTI, SU, Recollections, vellum
Ink ~ VersaMark
embossing powder
