Throwback Thursday Challenge ~ GREEN

Emma over at My Creative Time is having another Throwback Thursday Challenge. She has asked to use any older cartridge and put "Green" in it! This was perfect for me because I needed to make a baby card for an up coming shower. We do not know the sex of the baby so green and yellow are the neutral colors! I used the New Arrival cartridge. I LOVE that little pea pod, it is so darn cute! I stamped the sentiment with My Creative Time new stamp set "All Star Baby". I just got them today... I LOVE them along with all of Emma's other stamps! I also used my other favorite stamps, Peachy Keen Stamps, "Snow Cuties". Love their stamps too! I used some crinkle ribbon, kraft card stock, fun paper and buttons. I hope you have time to go and play along.
I hope you enjoy!

The Cuttlebug Spot Challenge ~ Buttons

This week over at the Cuttlebug Spot they are having a challenge using buttons! Oh how we all LOVE them! So this was a real quick card since my 5 year old reminded me that our dear neighbors granddaughters birthday is today! Total panic! So I thought this would be fun to put the age she is turning with BUTTONS! Easy right... well when the 5 year old saw the buttons, fingers were everywhere! LOL. So fun to craft under stress and a curious 5 year old...NOT! Anyway I used some buttons I purchased (forgot about them) with these cool bright colors, trying to make it some what age appropriate! I used my cuttlebug for the SU top note, and Tim Holtz embossing folder, some ribbon and a little ink! So if you have time please head on over and use up some of your buttons! I hope you enjoy!

Bright and Happy Flower!

So as everyone can tell I have been obsessed with flowers! I just can't get away from them lately! I guess because I am sooo over WINTER! So I always talk about my husband and son I never talk about the wonderful women I have in my life! Well I have 5 of them with Birthdays coming up REAL SOON! So one of these wonderful ladies will be receiving this card ~ I hope they enjoy it and their special day! So this week over at Peachy Keen Stamps  LFIF they want us to make a hand made flower! Well I have this Stampin Up punch and I thought I would twist it a little! I layered the petals to give some dimension. I took the leaf part and stamped with my swirls and made petals out of them, folded them in half and added some dots from my Viva Pearl pen. I used their Laughy Taffy Face Stamps for my center. I love to make flower centers using their faces... so cute! I am also entering this into  The Cuttlebug Spot. This week they would like us to use twine! Who doesn't love twine. I also used 2 different folders for my background and inked my edges just a little! Very simple card and I hope this meets all the criteria for both challenges! If you have time stop over to both of these site because they will NOT dissapoint! Hope you enjoy!

Whimsical Wednesday Challenge ~ Layout

Stephanie over at Always Crafting has a challenge spot called Whimsical Wednesdays! This week we are to do a scrapbook layout! Well this is why I began my journey of blogging. So I was thrilled to here that this week was a layout! It is a winter theme, including winter holidays, and ANY size scrap page you like! PERFECT... saying goodbye to this past winter... sooo ready for it! She has a guest designer this week, Chloe, they both did AMAZING layouts! Go check them out! I try to do my son's scrapbook in chronological order but I will bump out of it when I feel like it. So my son is 5 years old working on 6 soon and this page is when he was 3 months old! YIKES... I admitted how far behind I am... I haven't even got to the end of 2005 yet! He was born in September... yes openly admitting what a horrible mother I am! Lol. Anyway I decided to do this picture of him in his 1st winter coat my sister bought him! She spoils him rotten! Anyway I loved it, it was so easy to put on him and every time her wore he would fall asleep! He wasn't a sleeper... 2 years of up every night! Again new parents and he played us like a fiddle! Oh back to my layout! I used Winter Woodland, my Cuttle Bug, My Creative Time "My Journaling" Stamps ( hate my hand writing but VERY, VERY important your children know what you handwriting looks like in their later years!)Martha Stewart snowflakes& snowflake diecut felt ribbon ,misc. paper and SU paper! Okay enough babbling here it is.. Hope you enjoy!

Throwback Thursday Challenge #175

Emma over at My Creative Time is having another Throwback Thursday it's all about St. Patrick's Day! You can use any cartridge you want! Perfect... so I used the cartridge Paper Doll Dress Up for my shamrocks. My inspiration comes from a Christmas card...LOL! I had a friend who went to Ireland last summer and her picture card had so many greens with lots of moss! So I cut my shamrocks out in different sizes laid them on my paper and stamped to make my own paper. I used some flower soft to make my shamrocks look mossy. All papers and ribbon are from Papertrey Ink. My sentiment is from the $1 bin at Joanne's but I should have bought My Creative Time stamp set "I believe In Leprechauns" stamp set! Next time Emma!

Let's Face It Friday ~ Sew Super Cute ~ Challenge #11

Let's Face It Challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps is to use either faux stitching or real stitching! Well the faux is challenging enough to try and get those lines straight! But for me to pick up a needle and thread WAY, WAY beyond a challenge so I decided to pick the needle and the thread! I did use a template of a flower but again just holding the needle and thread, HUGE accomplishment. I don't even know how to properly sew a button back on! LOL. So terrible, I know!
I know this is yet ANOTHER flower but I had to use Emma's, My Creative Time Stamps because of the perfect sentiment. I made this card in mind for my Mom ,who does any button repair or ironing I need, she is the best! I used Peachy Keen Stamp set Snow Cuties , they are the cutest faces ever and you just don't have to use them for winter projects, so versatile! The paper is combination between Stampin Up and Paper Trey Ink. The ribbon and buttons, even though I have my grandmother's huge collection, are from Paper Trey Ink! I hope you enjoy!

My 1st Imagine card!

Okay I have to admit I have had my Imagine for quite sometime. I actually ordered it on the day it launch on HSN. I think I actually heard Emma call in??? So I finally decided to set up my machine, with another crafty friend Stephanie, and here I am FINALLY using it. So I made a real simple card since this is my first time really using it!. This is for my Dad's Birthday! I even used his mom's, my grandmothers, buttons. She had a dresser drawer full of them and I was lucky enough to get the buttons. So I always try to use them on any card I make for my Dad because he knows where the buttons came from!  Oh before I forget the sentiment is from Emma's new stamp set, Polka Dot "Suprise". So if you have time and just want to play with your Imagine head on over to My Creative Time . There is also another place I am entering my card...Thank You Katie... for bringing this to my attention! There is a new challenge spot that you get to show case your Imagine creations so head on over to Creative Critterz Imaginations Challenge. These ladies are super talented and showcase the Imagine. Check around their blog lots to see and a TON of inspiration! Hope you enjoy!
