"We are SUPER EXCITED to bring back another 5 days of Christmas! We will have daily AWESOME prizes so you might want to tune in each day so you won't miss a thing! All you have to do is leave your comments on each stop for an opportunity to WIN!"
For my project today my sweet and talented friend Ruthie gave me this fun idea! I told her I made a trip to Hobby Lobby, it's about forty-five minutes away from with no traffic, and found these chocolate covered Christmas sunflower seeds. My son and I LOVE sunflower seeds and have never tried them chocolate coated. Any way, while Ruthie and I were chatting, she came up with this cute idea, so thank you Ruthie! I thought what a fun and easy stocking stuffer for son, if they even make until Christmas!!
I used the Milk Carton Die and the bird house from the Fun Tweet Me Dies for my window.
I am not going to go into full detail on how I created this but I will list all the products used below.
Also since I used the, Tweet ME stamp set, which happens to be the November ~ Favorite Stamp/Die of the Month for my project and today is the last day of the sale, I would totally take advantage. It is seriously a versatile set! Click here and here to see some of my other projects from this adorable set!

MCT 49th Edition Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the My Creative Time 49th Edition Release Blog Hop! You should have arrived from the very talented Katie's blog. If not, you can start at the beginning over at Emma's blog or there will be a complete blog hop listed below. I have to say this release was so fun to create with and can't wait to share more projects with these amazing new products!
For my project today I totally went with the a movie themed night! I purchased a movie gift card and knew I had to use the Embossed Gift Cardholder Die. Of course the new sets Date Night and Popcorn Background add the perfect details to my project! Now I have to let you one a little secret, I am one who will not pay for candy at the movies! I think they are ridiculously priced, so I take my own treats in! Yep ~ I do that. I will also take these little popcorn containers I found at Target for $1. I purchase the biggest popcorn I can and then divide it up, so not everyone's hands are in the big bucket! I am slightly a germophobe, plus we don't have to pass the bucket back and forth!  Any way, one of my talented design team sisters, Brigit, showed us that we can use the Stitched Belly Band Dies around the gift card holder! Brilliant and fun idea right?? My sentiment is from the Gift Card Sentiments stamp set. Best part is, I will save these fun little projects, the tickets and pictures (prior to the movie starting) to put in my son's scrap book!
The whole project, note the ribbon was a scrap piece and I will keep recycling this for family projects...

Materials Used:
Paper ~ PTI, Vellum and stash
Ribbon ~ SU and hemp
Ink ~ VersaFine, VersaMark & Memento
Copic markers
Signo pen

MCT 49th Edition Sneak Peek Day 4

Today is the final day of the 49th Edition Release over at My Creative Time with Emma and the design team! Hasn't this week been making your creative mojo just "pop"?? Today is no exception. Today we will be featuring the new set, Popcorn Background (which comes with coordinating popcorn dies) and the Stitched Pop-up Pieces Dies, this die set has 2 different sizes as well. Oh my these are so fun to work with!
I wanted to keep my card fairly simply.  My popcorn bag is from the bag die from Chalkboard Birthday. Then I heat embossed my background stamp and die cut all the pop corn out and added a little yellow around the edges, since I am not one for tons of butter. Added a little ribbon and my sentiment. Simple right?
Now for the inside of my card, I kept it pretty simple as well. I did cut with the Stitched Pop-Up Piece Dies and then used the Popcorn Background stamp. Adhered the hearts to the pop up part, I am sure Emma will have a video showing how amazing these dies "reely"are. The die for my sentiment is from the new set, Date Night.

MCT 49th Edition Sneak Peek Day 3

It's Day 3 of the My Creative Time 49th Edition Sneak Peeks with Emma and the design team! You are "reely" going to LOVE today!
Today I am sharing a project made with the stamp set, Date Night. I know I "reely" loved working with this stamp/die set! Oh my, it has the best sentiments and the cutest dies ever!! Seriously you are going to want this set!
I die cut the film strip out, then placed vellum behind it and gave it a wave. The picture doesn't do it justice.. My movie reels were die cut with paper from my stash, I did use foam to back the black movie reel to add some dimension. Look how cute that sentiment is, that is why I used the Best Friends Background stamp, I thought it fit "reely" great with it! Sorry I cant resist using some puns every now and then.
I am trying to keep my posts short during release week, if you have any questions please feel free to email me.
Didn't Emma make a darling set?

MCT 49th Edition Sneak Peek Day 2

It's Day 2 of the My Creative Time 49th Edition Sneak Peeks! If you thought yesterday was sweet then look out for today, it's even better!! Emma has this new set called Be Your Best Selfie. Now I am not one for selfies of myself but when my son has friends over and we go somewhere in the car, I seem to always have them capture that moment with a selfie. I can't wait to use this new set for those pictures!
Well for my project today, my sweet and talented friend Katie, gave me a great idea! She knew we had an Elf on the Shelf, this little guy promotes good behavior. She said why don't you have Ryan take some selfies with the elf. Then suggested to just cut off the "s" and look what that spelled! Ha! BRILLIANT idea right! Any way, I am not sure if she knows but my son named him "Elfie, I know soooo original right! Since this will be the first year of a non Santa believer in our home, insert tears, so I thought why not! My son was totally into it, lets hope it continues for at least this holiday season. I told him we would take him wherever he wanted too and snap pictures! I thought lets make this fun and guess what... our elf my get into some mischief too!
The Be Your Best Selfie comes with this awesome die. You can place the die over your photo and it gives you this awesome frame. Best part is Emma has a hashtag in front of all the sentiments, which this set comes with plenty of fabulous ones! You know what else is awesome is that one of the squares from the Stitched Squares Inside & Out can be used to back this new die.

Paper ~ PTI, DCWV, MME and stash

MCT ~ Inspire Me Wednesday

Good morning, today is Inspire Me Wednesday over at My Creative Time with Emma and the design team. This is a when we create a project that has inspired us.  Well last week the design team did "peek-a-boo" cards, click here to see what those talented ladies created. I thought they were so darn cute that I had to give them  a try. I was also was inspired by my sweet and talented friend Katie's card, click here to see her creation. I chuckled when I saw what she did with one of her birds.
I decided to use the bird from the Tweet Me stamp set to be my main focal point. I used the Stitched Starburst Dies for my shape of my card. I mimicked the sky scene for both the outside and inside of my card by using the Stitched Cartoon Cloud dies and inking away. I did changed it up a tad on the inside by using the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies for the sky scene. The branch is from the Fun Tweet Me Dies and the sentiment inside is from the Friendships Are Forever stamp set. Super simple card but so fun to put together!

The yellow base for my card is a tad brighter. If you decided to use your dies for a shaped card base, always use a light card stock, it will be much easier on your machine, arms and dies!
Materials Used:
Paper ~ PTI and SU
Ink ~ VersaFine, VersaMark and Memento
Copic Markers
Twine
PTI button
sequins
Don't forget the Tweet Me stamp set is on SALE all month!!! here are the details:

Today we are featuring another "My FAVORITE stamp of the Month!  This month we are featuring one of my FAVES "Tweet Me!" stamp set.  If this set of dies have been on your wish list, you can pick this set up HERE at a discounted price.
