A "Beary Special" Blog Hop with My Creative Time

Hello and welcome to the My Creative Time "Beary Special" Blog Hop! You should have arrived from the super talented Katie's blog ~ if not you can start over at Emma's blog. Emma has the CUTEST little stamp set out! Oh let me just say it is "Beary" special! She has these amazing sentiments and ADORABLE little teddy bears images. I call them ~ "TRUE" teddy bears because this is how envision them! Every year a local department store in my area, Kaufman's, always sold a Christmas Teddy Bear! Well my Dad would buy my sister and myself one! He even did this in our adult years ~ so I have to Thank Emma for reminding me of such a wonderful memory! I promise not to keep you long today because we not only have the regular design team but some fabulous guest designers today! Welcome Cheryl, Debbie, Joy and Kim!

For my project I decide to dust off my Cricut! Yep ~ some of you might have just fell to the floor  but I actually decided to use it! I pulled out the "A Child's Year" cartridge! It has a CUTE little teddy bear. Unfortunately this cartridge does not have layers! So I cut it out 2 times in Kraft card stock hiding various features. Then a third time hiding EVERYTHING I could ~ to make it a blackout feature! Oh that means I used my Gypsy ~ okay pick yourself backup since I did use 2 machines! LOL! See I LOVE my dies! Anyway one of my Kraft layers I decided to free hand cut hit head! I needed him to be more defined ~ it looked rather plain with out doing this! I inked him up added some rhinestone eyes and put some pink paper for his ears. I couldn't help but to add the CUTE little heart and patches ~ these come with this set! LOVE them!!! Well he sort of looked plain still and I thought he needs some claws/ toes. So I decided to add some hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique! Easy right! Added a bow because the teddy bears my Dad bought us always had a bow on them! The sentiment on the front of my card is from the new set ~ "Beary Special Thoughts" .

"Get Well Soon" is from the "Card Sentiments" stamp set

See isn't this "Beary" CUTE!!! You can order this set here.

"Scrapping The Little Things"

Happy Monday! It's time for another "Scrapping The Little Things!" over at My Creative Time with Emma and the design team! If you are familiar with Project Life or Smash books that is what this is ALL about! Just doing whatever you wish to cherish those special moments in our lives. I must confess ~ I am so new to this concept that mine actually looks like a layout! I do apologize! I will get better in the future!

So I decided to scrap my son's first Halloween. His Dad was out of town and him being only a month and half old ~ we obviously stayed home. When his Dad came home from his trip ~ I had this CUTE little onesie I had bought ~ "Daddy's Little Pumpkin" ~ I had him where it for his Daddy! I still remember that day like it was yesterday! I think I might have saved that little onesie too ~ just so I can show my son when he graduates from school! LOL

Anyway I used tons of Emma's dies and stamps! They are just PERFECT for Project Life, Smash books and regular layouts.  I will list everything below so I don't bore you on a Monday! hehehe! What you can't see in the picture is I punched out my fence ( with white card stock) then inked it up a tad and then applied UTEE to it! To get my bats black I use my Inkadinkado marker ~ I actually like how they turned out! I did emboss my webs and camera. In order for my journal tag to slide behind the picture I used foam to pop it up. This makes the tag very easy to slide!
I got the idea for my tombstone from two of my fellow design team members and friends Nancy (click here) and Tracy ( click here) ~ I just loved that idea!

Picture (below) with the journaling tag out.

Here is my attempt of showing you my UTEE fence

But below is at least some of it! I LOVE this! It fits my 12 x 12 layouts PERFECTLY!!!

MCT September Mini Stamp Release Blog Hop

Welcome to My Creative Time September Mini Release Blog Hop! You should have arrived from the very talented and amazing Katie's blog, but if you happened to just stop by ~ head on over to Emma's blog to see the entire new release. Wasn't this week super fun ~ inspiring and packed with FABULOUS ideas! I thought so!  We even had two wonderful and talented ladies join us too ~ Miss Jayne and Miss Cheryl!

My projects today I used the "All Around Goodies" . My first project I wanted to make a little fun! So I heat embossed the new "Just Tag" dies with one of the little ornament stamp images from "Warm Holiday Fun" . I also used the little paper from that stamp set and some of the CUTE little sentiments from this set. I switched the percentage amount around~ see this is what happens when you are naughty! LOL! You get "reindeer poop"! I used the dies from "Teeny Tag Greeting" to for that and to spell the word equal! I used the "Just Simply Live" stamp set ~ LOVE those little alphabet letters! My arrow is also from this set too! I used some ribbon I have had forever and some hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique. My cute little cup is from Stampin Up. I just laugh at this card! I really wanted to make something fun and TOTALLY out of character for me!

Alright for my next card I wanted to show you how you can make a quick little card for your hubby or boyfriend! I used the "Just Tags" dies (sorry I have used them ALL week but once you get these in your hands ~ you will too!) and two sentiments from the "All Around Goodies" . I wanted to use this sentiment because aren't ALL of our creations made with love?? Plus I wanted to show you can use the sentiment "Preserved just for you!" ~  I think it is perfect little saying for your loved one! I pulled out my "Scallop and Stitched Circle" die and the heart die from "100% Sweetness" stamp set. My little heart in the center is from "Happy Mail" . I added a little stitching, some Stampin Up ribbon and my hemp is from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique!  Simple, quick and a little way to say you love someone!

Okay you should be heading to the talented and creative Miss Leanne's blog! I will have a list at the bottom just in case you get lost along the way!

My Creatvie Time Sneak Peek Day # 2

Good morning! Today is day #2 of My Creative Time September Mini Release Sneak Peeks with Emma and the design team. Emma has a FABULOUS mini release that you don't want to miss! So head on over to Emma's blog to get all the details! Click here.

Today I will be the using the Present sentiment/ image from the stamp set "Just For You" along with the new "Just Tags" . Can I just say  ~ I LOVE this little stamp set and dies! I know I say this ALL the time but I really do! I decided to make two cards today! I wanted to show you that these dies can be used on cards as well. Plus I also wanted to show you the little present sentiment/image can be used for birthdays or a just because card! It doesn't just have to be for Christmas!

So for my first card I decided to step out of my comfort zone and use some soft and subtle papers and colors! I LOVE this paper ~ some sweet bloggy friend sent me this paper pack  and I just LOVE it! So I die cut the "Just Tags" in two different patterns.  I LOVE the fact that these layer  and the top die has Emma's signature stitching ~ Thank You Emma! I inked my stamp and added some crinkle ribbon to the tag. I decided to add some jute from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique ~ it went so perfectly with the pink paper! I have had these faux pearls made by Recollections forever ~ I just wanted to add a little bling. Inked up my edges with some Tim Holtz ink. I decided to not add any other sentiment on it! I just want the person receiving it to know their friendship is like a gift! I know corny right???

Onto my second card! I wanted to make a masculine birthday card! I never  have enough of them and again ~ not my comfort zone! But with this new release ~ it was actually rather simple to make and I am quite pleased with both my creations! I used the present sentiment/ image, from the new stamp set "Just For You" and the new dies "Just Tags" . This time I decided to use some embossing powder for my sentiment/ image. It embosses PERFECTLY!  My birthday sentiment is from "Wow! So Many Candles" and stamped on the tag from last months release " Just Simply Live" stamp set. My hemp and burlap is from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique. I couldn't help my self by adding that ~ nothing seems right with out a bow of some sorts! LOL!

Anyway that is it for my projects today! Make sure you head on over to Emma's blog and see all the AMAZING creations that Emma and the design team have created for you  ~ I know you WON'T be disappointed!!!

My Creative Time Sneak Peek ~ Day #1

Happy Wednesday! Today is day #1 of My Creative Time September Mini Release Sneak Peeks with Emma and the design team. Emma has a FABULOUS mini release that you don't want to miss! So head on over to Emma's blog to get all the details! Click here.

I just wanted to share with you a little project I did! I won't keep you long because I DON'T want you to miss any of the amazing creations. I decided to use the new stamp set "All Around Goodies" and the new "Just Tag Dies" . These new stamps and dies are ADORABLE!  So I must confess this strawberry jam ~ I did not jar myself. My wonderful and amazing aunt did! She makes the best jam, jelly and preserves I have ever tasted. There are never any seeds and little sugar used ~ you actually taste the fruit! YUMMY! So anyway I have decided to give this to some friends of ours. They must be special because I NEVER give this away! I used my "Scalloped & Stitched Circle Dies" and stamped 2 different sentiments. Then adhered them to where I wanted them on my jar. One on the top of the jar I punched out a 2 inch circle. I then stamped the strawberry image on that and the back layer of the tag. Aren't those strawberries CUTE! Well these come with this new set too! I decided to use the stamp set "Just Live Simply" to stamp our last name. I have to say the little alphabet set that comes with the "Just Live Simply" is a MUST have. It is totally CUTE! I hot glued the ribbon around the rim, added a bow and some hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique ~ (LOVE her little boutique) and done! Something so simple, quick with just a few details!

Like always the sweet Emma has something for you  ~ A giveaway!!! YEAH!!!

Fun Learning Tools Using My Creative Time Dies

Hello I just wanted to share a fun learning tool for my son using Emma's envelope and pocket dies. My son is in 1st grade this year and he comes home with 12 spelling words a week that he must learn to sight and spell. I just used 3 x 5 index cards and cut those in half. They fit PERFECTLY in the envelope die!!! So we just flip through them first day ~ so he can site the words.

Now for the actual alphabet part I let him chose what shape he wanted to work with ~ he chose Emma's pocket dies. So we die cut, yes we both took turns die cutting 26 pockets out. He LOVES to die cut. I have extra dies for later when we need to add more letters ~ for example the word Dad! We needed 2 D's.  Let me say the little envelope die that holds the pockets letters has plenty of room to add more letters. I also decided that I wanted to keep our weeks separated and organized~ so I just used the new tag from the last release and the alphabet !  I used one of my MCT background stamp to give them a little flare. My son actually stamped a few of the backgrounds too! I have to tell you these are FABULOUS to just shove in your purse and pull them out if you are out to eat and need something to occupy the little one ~ plus they actually learn too! We really do have fun with learning his words!

Materials Used:

My Creative Time ~ "3x3 Fancy Envelope Die" ~ envelopes
My Creative Time ~ "Just Simply Live" ~ tag die & alphabet
My Creative Time ~ "Fun Pockets" ~ pocket die
My Creative Time ~ "Script Type Backgrounds" ~ background on all envelopes
Paper ~ Paper Trey Ink
Vellum
Stampin Up Ink
Index cards
Sharpie
One little boy to die cut pockets out ~ LOL!!!

Alright before I go I just want to remind you all that starting tomorrow Emma over at My Creative Time and her design team will be showcasing Septembers Mini release! So don't forget! I know you will ALL LOVE what you are about to see!

Angry Bird Birthday Card

Happy Monday! Well I have been a little MIA because I was getting ready to celebrate my son's 7th birthday over the weekend! He chose NOT to have a party but to go to a concert. We had a small celebration on Friday and then Saturday went to the concert with friends! His first concert ever and I was really reluctant for him to go but since he was going with my hubby and I ~ I lost the battle! LOL! He had a BLAST! I think he may have been the youngest one there! Let me say he got tons of attention because he looked so CUTE!!

So I just wanted to share the card I made him. He LOVES Angry Birds so I knew I had to make this for him! Well my sweet friend Norma ~ Pink Bling Crafter ~ made a the CUTEST card last year. She even did a video on how to make it. Click here to watch. Well I didn't have all the punches so I had to improvise a little. It isn't as cute as hers but my son LOVED it! The best part is that I was able to use Emma's new "Card Sentiments with 3x3 Fancy Tri-Fold card die" . I LOVE this little card!  I just embossed the sentiment and added some ribbon ~ of course ~ Angry Bird ribbon. Something simple and easy because I used dies and punches!

Material Used:

My Creative Time"Card Sentiments w/ 3x3 Fancy Tri~Fold Card" ~ card and sentiment
Stampin Up ~ "Owl Punch"
Paper ~ Stampin Up and Paper Trey Ink

"Show Me Your Technique" with My Creative Time

Good morning! Today we are doing a mini blog hop at My Creative Time.  The amazing and talented ladies today are:

and now me!

I LOVE this idea that Emma has come up with! There are so many times I have seen another crafters project and thought how did they do that!!! If it weren't for  some many of you out there explaining your creations, in detail, I would be completely lost! I still get AMAZED everyday by ALL of you! There is always something to learn! I will try to make this post as short as I can but since I LOVE to talk ~ we shall see. Plus I am apologizing for ALL the pictures ~ I do not do videos but TOTALLY LOVE to watch them!

My technique today for you is to look at your dies in a different way! We buy dies and see them for what they are, use them for a holiday or occasion and tend put them away. I on the other hand look at them and think what else can I do with that! I try to utilize them as much as possible. I have seen many of my fellow design team member and many of you do the same as well.

So for my first project I decided to use one of the ornaments for Emma's last release and make a flower! When first laid eye on these beauties I saw them for what they were but then I started thinking ~ Petals!!! They would make PERFECT sunflower petals. Not to mention I think a poinsettia too!

Finished card

Materials used: See the ornaments dies ~ who would have thought!

I took the stitched circle die, used my ATG gun and then placed my ornaments ~ oops I mean petals onto it. Why did I use my ATG ?? I find the tape is very user friendly. I like to place them down ~ move the petals around and sorta play around with them until I am happy with the spacing,

Next I did the same thing here with tape for my top petal layer. After I am TOTALLY satisfied with the placing I will add some glue to the back of the petals just to secure them just a tad more.

Here is my centers for my sunflower. I LOVE to use my Zyron. It is the BEST for glitter and Martha Stewart Micro beads. I will say the beads seem to have a mind of their own but so far the Zyron works the BEST for them!! My fellow DT sister ~ Ruthie ~ just made a video you can watch here to see what she did with glitter and the Zyron!

Now you are probably wondering why to circles. Well I find it much easier to pop dot my center when using MS micro beads. You can't seem to press to hard on them or you will loose to many ~ in my opinion. Plus I LOVE to pop everything up! Maybe that is why my postage on mailing a card is threw the roof! LOL!

I also realized last night that I forgot to do my other little project for the ornament die! You can make leaves for Emma's "Rolled Flower Dies" or her "Flower Petal Dies" . So say you don't have a punch or want a change ~ you could use this die for just that too! Again I just inked up the edges a tad just to show you how they could be used. I really wanted to crinkle those babies up!!!

Sorry for any blurry pictures! But my lighting issues continue! Day or night!

Okay for this next card I decided to use the cone die from the stamp set "Celebrate Good Times".  I saw another fellow DT team member, Nikki , use ice cream cone stamps for trees. Well I LOVED this idea and thought hmmm ~ I don't have those stamps but I do have Emma's dies! So I used the cones for my trees and my mounds of snow ~ Can you see it?? I used the cloud dies from "Fly Away With Me Dies" . I can't believe how much I LOVE how  this turned out! Now let me just say I did NOT embellish this like I wanted to or any of my projects today because I really wanted you to see the dies. I would have LOVED to add some stickles or glitter to the clouds ~ oops ~ I mean snow mounds but I wanted you to see the actual dies! The best part of it all is that these fit PERFECTLY on the new Tri-Fold card die from the stamp set "Card Sentiment's" .

Well I hope I didn't keep you too long or blog you down with so many pictures but this girl is video shy! I applaud anyone and everyone who does videos!  I hope I showed you how to look at your dies a little differently now. Get you money worth out of them! If I can do it so can you!! Plus trust me ~ snicker ~ there are so MANY more things you can do with Emma's dies!!!!!  I can't wait to share at a later time with you all! Here are a few other posts i have done yo may want to chek out using Emma's dies in different ways.

My Creative Time 3-D Wednesday

Welcome to another My Creative Time 3~D Wednesday! Today Emma and the design team will be sharing with you our projects. We were asked to use the colors Kraft, Purple, Teal & White! Sounds fun right! Emma's products are so fun to use for all sorts of projects!

So for my project I decided NOT to use any machines to create my project! All you have to do is fold paper! I have to say I LOVE making this box! I will list ALL materials below. I decided to heat emboss the entire box top before I started folding it. I must admit I FORGOT to take pictures of the boxes side and it opened! Sorry about that. I used my XL label die for my tag, added a little purple flower (love these flowers too) ~ tied  a ribbon and done!!! I think it actually turned out CUTE!

Sorry this is late but at least I got to take a picture this morning!
