I seriously could not find the paper pad it came from after making it! LOL! Head on over and see what Emma and the design team has created for you all! Click here.

My Creative Time 3~D Wednesday

Hello it has been awhile since I have posted! I was down with the stomach virus last week.  I am usually pretty tough and bounce back rather fast but it didn't happen this time! I just hope I took one for the team, I mean family! I am crossing EVERYTHING I have that no one in my house gets it!

Anyway ~ today Emma and the My Creative Time the design team will be featuring 3~D items! I personally LOVE doing them. So many fun things you can make for family and friends. This week was pretty much anything goes. I LOVED the new stamp set "You're My Pot of Gold" which includes the cutest little shamrock die! Lucky this stamp set has this exact sentiment on it because I really wanted to play on the words of it. So I rummaged through my son's kitchen set to find this cute little cooking pot. I thought how fun would it be to fill this up with some gold wrapped candy. Now I will say if the candy wasn't already gold, I could have used the new "Treat Slide Box" die (pre~order only) and wrapped them myself. How CUTE can you make your candy look! My project is really simple but I just giggled making it! Best part is I am giving this to my Mom ~ who LOVES candy & lives with us ~so I get my little pot back! LOL! I want to use it again for a couple other ideas I have!

I also would like to remind everyone that the MCT Designer's Challenge, hosted by our very own Miss Nancy, is still going one ~ we hope to see your creation. Click here for all the details.

Sorry for all the bad pictures but it was windy and rainy here the day I took this!

MCT Scrapping The Little Things

Happy Monday & Presidents Day! Today Emma and the My Creative Time design team are back with "Scrapping The Little Things".

So for my layout I decided to scrap a picture of the first time we took out son to a local amusement park.  Our school district has a day reserved every year where everyone in the community goes. It used to be on a Friday in the beginning of May and we would have the day off from school. We no longer do it this way ~ which I actually miss ~ we go in June on a Tuesday! I so miss having it in May even though the weather is warmer in June. Just look at what we are wearing ~minus my son ~ I have a turtle next on with a sweatshirt. Note the hat too, it must have rained that day as well! Apparently this mother of the year only took ONE picture too! What was I thinking?? His first trip there and one picture ~ horrible! Plus it was at night too, my son is in his pajamas! LOL! Hot mess but I had to capture this moment for our family. Reason why is because we were asked to use the Emma's new "Fun Tickets". How perfect are they for this occasion. I am not real happy with this layout but that is okay ~ some days you just have to let it alone ~ right?? I will list all the other materials below ~ again trying to keep my posts short. Head on over to My Creative Time and see what all the other creative & talented ladies have created.

He got straight A's on his report card again and a "Good Citizenship" certificate! So proud of him ~ love my little man! So I thought why not use the ticket stamps and dies so he can turn in tickets for various rewards. I stamped various stamps and even personalize the 2 blank ones! I used a star punch and put them on a 1 inch book ring. Then I thought I can use the new "Treat Slider Box Die" and put the reward ring in it! It fit PERFECTLY!! I was so excited because I LOVE this little box!! WARNING picture heavy!!

My Creative Time February Release ~ Sneak Peek Day #3

Good morning and welcome to My Creative Time February Release Sneak Peek Day #3!  This release is simply AMAZING right??? I know I say this all the time but Emma truly has outdone herself this time! There is so many FABULOUS dies and stamps I can hardly stand it!

Today Emma and the design team will featuring the "Stitched Chunky Jar Dies" and "Chunky Jar Accessories".  The jars come with Emma's signature stitching and in two different sizes. LOVE that idea!Well if you know me I LOVE dies and these die are so PERFECT!!! EEK ~ I can just scream! LOL!

Okay I don't want to keep you so for my card today I decided to use acetate and cut out the larger of the 2 jars out twice. I die cut out different size buttons using the new "Stitched Button Dies" with different papers that coordinate. I then adhered them to the bottom layer of my jar and used glossy accents for the top part of my jar. I wanted the jar to look like a clear glass jar. I used this frosty metallic paper for my lid  and inked it up just a tad.. My CUTE little tag with "Baby" on it is the coordinating set ~ oh wait to you see all the images on it and ALL the dies! I then placed a new "Stitched Doily Die" behind the jar. IT is so BEAUTIFUL ~ wait to you get your hands on this BEAUTY!! Okay all the rest of my materials I will list below!

My Creative Time ~ Designer Challenge ~ Embossing

Happy Thursday! This week Emma over at My Creative Time has the very talented and creative Miss Nikki , Scrappin Navy Wife , hosting! Nikki has asked us to emboss on our projects. She said it can be heat or dry ~ super fun for me! Not sure if you have ever noticed but Nikki is the Queen of embossing (heat) ~ her embossing is PERFECT!

So for my card I decided make an easel card and use both types of embossing. I found this ribbon right before Emma's November release and TOTALLY forgot to use it! How PERFECT does it go with her "Vintage Label Stamps" ! I also found this Cuttlebug embossing folder to boot! I think it ties in just PERFECTLY together! I added a little white chalk to soften up my card because of my color choices ~ other than that it is rather self explanatory! I will list all materials used below!

My Creative Time 3~D Wednesday ~ Recycle

Good morning and welcome to My Creative Time's 3~D Wednesday! Emma has asked the design team to make a project out of something that we would usually toss ~ for example packaging, tags, string or elastic, bread ties toilet/ towels rolls ~ you get the idea. Fun right?? Well if you are anything like me I have a box ( HUGE by the way) full of stuff. Guess that is the hoarder in me! You never know when you can recycle something and make it your own!
Well I rummaged through that box and found this Stampin Up container that the wood blocks came in from their stamps. Note ~ had to take the wood blocks out of this container! LOL!! I really like these containers and actually forgot I had them ~ no surprise to me at all! This container measures 4 1/2 by 5 1/4. Now this container isn't quite perfectly clear but I fixed that issue. I decided to stamp the "Love Collage" background stamp on some acetate ~ which was a piece of scrap. I adhered it with some glue dots. Then found some ribbon I had left over from Christmas ( scraps again) and tied my bow. But then I was a tad stumped on what to do next! I didn't want use anything too big! Well then I remember my fellow DT sister and friend, Ruthie from September Ninth, did a video on Shrinky Dinks! Click here to see this AWESOME video. I thought I can make little charms using Emma's dies and stamps! I must say this was so fun! Even my son and husband had fun watching the process! Note ~ never do this in front of a child ~ they want you to shrink EVERYTHING!! LOL But it was fun to watch his face as I did this fun technique! I used all sorts of MCT stamps & dies for my charms and will list them below. I also have some pictures of what the tag looked like before I shrunk it ~ so fun! I just wanted to make something fun and different for my little project. I must admit these did not come out perfect but let me just say LOVE is not perfect and the recipient will still love the gift.

Okay here its the container before. I had to use a black background so you could see it. See how it isn't perfectly clear.

This is a picture of the tag (left) before the fun begins. Then on the right ~ the after ~ CUTE right?? Again very hard to take pictures of this because of the white and lights.

The final product! I really like making charms ~ I think it adds something different to a project, card or better yet a layout! Emma's stamps are PERFECT for this too! To get the hearts and "Vintage Stitched Label Die" to adhere together I used Glossy Accents and a clothes pin. Let it dry over night , it will work perfectly! My Little hemp to tie the charms to the bow is a piece of scrap ( see I save EVERYTHING) from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique ~ love that stuff too! I stuffed this little container with Fire Ball candies ~  you know ~ the HOT kind of LOVE!! Corny ~ yes but I know someone who just LOVE these and will find this funny.

Peachy Keen Challenge 13~5 :: Photo Inspiration

Good evening!! I just wanted to share my card I made for the Peachy Keen Challenge this week! It is all about the photo inspiration and our the colors are only suggested. I have to say I really like this color choices. I am trying to step out of normal color comfort zone ~ so this was fun for me! I also enjoyed the the photo so I sort of wanted to create from that as well.

So for my card I tried to use the 2 browns for my branch. I layered them but it is a little hard to see in the picture. I of course used my favorite face stamp EVER that Peachy Keen has ~ those "PK ~ 500 Snow Cuties" are just too darn cute for me to pass up! They just make me smile! Oh by the way that is what I decided to use for my sentiment for my card ~ it comes from the stamp set "PKSC ~ 07 July 2012" .  I will list all other materials below. I did decide to use a deeper red and my grays( which one of them looks white but I promise you its gray) are MME. I also decided to distress the edges a little. Well that is all I have for now ~ so many things to get caught up on and off to TRY and achieve some items of my endless to do list!!
