My Creative Time ~ "Scrappy Monday" ~ Layout and Sketch

Hello ~ welcome to the very FIRST My Creative Time ~ Scrappy Monday! Today Emma and the design team will be featuring a new segment showcasing "LAYOUTS" You are welcome to make ANY size layout of your choice! It can range from 6x6 up to 12x12. There is a sketch provided to help you along! You have until Sunday, May 13th to link your LAYOUT to Mr. Linky. I just LOVE this idea! I have not done a layout for so long! it felt really good to have a page completed. Thank You Miss Emma!

So for my layout I have decided to go against what I normally do! I am usually a chronological order scrapper! But for today I wanted to step out and be in the moment. So in the moment for our family right now is Baseball ~ okay Tee Ball! This is our son's first year and we are sooo excited! Unfortunately we have only had I practice and 1 day of skill training. The weather has NOT been friendly! We maybe taking our games into July at this rate! So if you were wondering why there is no pictures for my layout ~ that is why! I will add them and re post at a later time. Also you may notice my layout has a great deal of black in it. Well around here our Tee Ball Teams go by colors and not names. I guess the little ones can remember colors better than names???? So we are Team BLACK

So onto my layout! Emma has the most incredible sports related stamps! These stamps are just PERFECT for a layouts! I took a paper with a baseball printed on it and adhered it to a plain black piece of paper. To make it more sturdy! I then used the stamp set "Grand Slam" and heat embossed some sentiments and images ~ to make my own background paper. I also made little baseballs from this set so I could add them to my baseball bats ~ for some character. I placed ribbon on the top and bottom of that paper ~ to add some little details. I also like to layer ~ so where my son's picture and baseball card will go I used some baseball paper as well. I used the Scallop & Stitched Circle Die for the little ribbon! My baseball in the center of the ribbon is from the Grand Slam stamp set. The little journal tag is the Embossed Gift Card Holder ~ layered. I use the circles from the Build A Banner Kit. The numbers are from the Follow Your Dreams stamp set. I am so excited to have at least one more page done for my son!

My Creative Time ~ Throwback Thursday ~ "Frame"

Hello ~ and welcome to another My Creative Time Throwback Thursday! This challenge Emma has asked us to create a project using a FRAME from a "older" Cricut cartridge! There are so many frames out there it is incredible! I have to say very hard to choose from because they all have such unique features. Come play along with us and link your wonderful creation to Mr. Linky over at My Creative Time by Wednesday, May 9th. We can't wait to see what you create!

For today's card I have decided to use the cartridge Elegant Edges  ~ frame from page 31. There a lot of frames on this cartridge. I cut my frame out @ 4 inches ~ 4 times. I wanted to make it pop and give it some dimension so it looked like an actual frame. I then cut the same frame @ 3.76 inches so it had a trim piece on the inside. I used my embossing folder to make it look like wood and inked it up just a tad. I adhered clear acetate for the glass illusion. I stamped my background paper and added the bow, again for the illusion that you could hang this on a wall. My little flowers are from Emma's "NEW" release! I just LOVE that die! These are out of fabric. I can't stop making flowers or using fabric to make them. Click here to see the video Emma did showing us how to use fabric.  I know I am going to sound like a broken record but these new flower dies are so easy, quick and fun to play with! I will list all the materials below!

Material Used:

My Creative Time ~ Floral Sentiments ~ "Happy Birthday"
My Creative Time ~ Script Type Backgrounds

I don't want to keep you all to long, so for my card I chose this gorgeous flower bouquet image. I colored with my Copics. The sentiment is from this stamps set  as well ~ isn't the sentiment just so fitting! I used my My Creative Time "Teeny Tags Die" for the sentiment. There is also an image on the "Bloom Where You Are Planted" that is just perfect for a background stamp. So I clear embossed it to add that little detail! I used some Nesties, twine. MCT April Release Sneak Peek #1

Hello and welcome to My Creative Time April Release Sneak Peeks Day #1! Well when you think Emma over at My Creative Time can't top last months release ~ she does it again!!!! This release is by far the best yet! So many beautiful and fun things. This release is so versatile  ~ just you wait and see!

For my cards today I used the umbrella image from this release, "All Around Everything Accessories". This stamp set has so many ADORABLE little images that fit PERFECTLY with Emma's Scallop and Stitched Circle Die. I LOVE her signature stitching around the circle ~ because you don't have to add it yourself.
So for my first card I colored the umbrellas, used a circle punch and pop dotted them on a strip of black paper. To give them a little color I decided to use my MCT scallop die and adhere them to the back of the black strip of paper. Adds just that little touch of color. Then I used MCT Fancy Frame die to stamp my sentiment from " Happy Hunting" stamp set. I LOVE that sentiment ~ so cheery! I decided to use the stitching from the stamp set "Gift Card Sentiment" to add that little detail!

For my second card I decided to paper piece the umbrella. I have a wedding shower coming up and thought this would be perfect image and sentiment for it! I used MCT Scallop & Stitched Circle die. I stamped the round sentiment from new "All Around Everything"stamp set. I used some nesties for all the layers and added a big bow! Simple and easy.

My Creative Time ~ Stamp Of The Month ~ My Teacher Rocks!

Hello today is another My Creative Time Stamp Of The Month! Today I will be showcasing the stamp set  "My Teacher Rocks! " This is such a fun stamp set to work with and the best part is Emma has put it on sale along with the stamp set "Camera Shy" ! Click here.! After I made my card I thought of 2 other ways to use it! I actually made this card for my son, he did such an INCREDIBLE job on his report card! We are so proud of him! I was inspired by what I refer in my house as the "HOT MESS"! It is our bulletin board which hangs in our kitchen. It has everything and anything to do with Ryan's school or activities. He displays his art work, papers, some school pictures and any schedules that has to do with him. Maybe we should call it the "Ryan" board.

Anyway I took a picture of it to show you were I got my idea for his card. Unfortunately this is the some what cleaned up version! LOL! I allow him to add and remove anything he likes, except the things on the very top. I told him those are important papers for parents. Once I give him this card, I am going to add this to a scrapbook page, so you might see it later too. if I ever get to his scrapbook!

Onto my card! I love the stamp with the papers with the pushpin! I made one the way it comes but for the other I decided to mask off the sentiment and add the sentiment "A+ Student".  We usually have a small little chalkboard hanging from our bulletin board but for some reason it is missing?? I guess Ryan has it somewhere. He has been practicing his words and letters. So I decided to make a chalkboard that looks like ours. I heat embossed it to make it look like chalk. All the other little items are things Ryan seems to LOVE. These little things came from the paper pack I used. I did add the "#1 Teacher" sentiment to the apple. He has the VERY BEST teacher!! Okay I have kept you all to long. I hope you go over to My Creative Time and check out all the AMAZING other DT's creations and don't forget to link up your creations

My card is for my little friend Miss "H"! I decided to use the Peachy Keen Easter Basket Bunny die! It is so CUTE! I knew when they came out with this little bunny it could be used for more than just Easter! I cut her out with Kraft card stock and colored or should I say highlighted all the little little areas I wanted to stand out. I pop dotted her little paws, they are so CUTE too! I used My Creative Time  XL Label Die and Stitched Heart Die. I thought the little bunny could be holding the stitched heart that said "somebunny special" ~ that is from the My Creative Time Color Me Happy Stamp set. I have to say I really think this turned out CUTE! I hope my little friend Miss "H" thinks so too!

A Funny Get Well card for a FABULOUS Friend!

Good morning! I wanted to share a card I made for a sweet friend, Miss Katie, from Crafting with Katie! She has the BEST sense of humor and such a positive attitude! She had to have her ear operated on, simple procedure, minus the craniotomy. She seemed to have one thing after the other happen. ALL is fine now for the most part but she does have a LOT of healing time ahead of her! Please head over to here blog, click here, and send her some well wishes. She would probably love it and help lift her spirits!

So for my card I made her, since she has such a FABULOUS sense of humor , I decided to make her a helmet! Yes ~ a helmet! She shouldn't bump her head during the healing process. I made it rather large for swelling purposes, see Katie I was thinking ahead again!!! She also LOVES the color turquoise and red ~ actually when I asked her she loves all colors but those where the ones that stuck out in my head... no pun intended! I cut the helmet out twice so I could stuff some tissues in it to make it pop a little and give it some cushion. I also added an action wobble to it for a little fun! Very simple card for such a AMAZING person I am so fortunate to have met thru blogland! Thank You Katie for being there for me so often, for the support, the inspiration and most of all making me LAUGH when I didn't want too!

See real simple and easy card!
