Peachy Keen Let's Face It Fridays ~ Week 4

Peachy Keen Stamps has a "Let's Face It Fridays" Challenge. It has been awhile since I have been able to do ANY scrapping but this challenge I couldn't pass up! I love their stamps and this year my sister will have her 1st tree ever! Everyone knows how expensive trimming your tree is... so I thought I will have to contribute to her tree trimming! I used the Snow Cutie  Face assortment stamp set, my EK snowflake punch, glitter, my Martha Stewart scissors( for the confetti on the bottom) and plastic bulb ( it was spit in half). Please don't mind the pictures... this was very hard to take just 1 decent picture! The only good one, I noticed I didn't trim the ribbon! It is really cute in person!

Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge ~ Sports Theme

Emma over at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ is having a challenge, this week it is Sports related. I just happen to have the Sports Mania Cartridge. So my dear neighbors birthday is in a couple of weeks and my son wanted me to make him a card that has to do with golf, so this is just perfect! They sit on the couch, eating popcorn and watch golf! It baffles me that my son sits that long and still because he is so active but he just adores our neighbor! Hope you enjoy!

Fall / Halloween Blog Hop WINNER!

First and foremost I would like to thank Stephanie over at http://www.alwayscrafting.com/ for asking me to do this blog hop! Thank You Stephanie! It was alot of fun for me for many reasons; my first  blog hop ever, getting 2 scrapbook pages done for my son, being apart of these talented ladies and reading all the comments! I am soo glad that I am not the only one out there who is behind ~ I Thank all the other ladies who admitted that too! I also want to give a shout out to Carol and Barrie over at http://www.scrapadabadoo.com/ for sponsoring the grand prize. Please go check their store out ~ you won't be disappointed!
I also had a few emails and a few questions about my pages. I am very bad about writing down details because I cut about 100 pieces of them to see what  size works. Just call me the "Queen of Paper Waste"! My SIL and my dear niece will read this sometime and totally agree!
For my leaves I used 3 different sized punches, no cartridge ~ even though I think Cricut just released a cartridge with some nice leaves. My tree was from the Heritage cartridge! I LOVE this cartridge too ~ so many ideas in my little brain!

And now for the winner...

Peachy Keen Challenge 37 ~ Sketch with a Twist

This week over at Peachy Keen Challenge we had to follow a sketch with a twist! Well since tomorrow September 28th I will be married to my "Prince" for 14 years ~ I couldn't resist making him a card. Please don't be misguided by the Frog. I LOVE frogs and LOVE these ones. See when I married him sooo many years ago I knew what a a "Prince" I was marring or did I??? I know everyone says they married a wonderful, thoughtful and understanding guy but I truly did. What he has done for me and my family (mainly my parents) goes beyond the call of husband and son-in-law! I won't get into all the details but his unmeasurable love for me goes way above what he signed up for! So Rich, this one is for you! Thank You for all these awesome years!

Throwback Thursday Challenge ~ 98

This week Emma over at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ has another Throwback Thursday Challenge! Well this one is totally fun! See we are not permitted to use ANY, yes I said ANY machines! I LOVE it! Yes, it was a challenge for me because like I always say, I am new to this world of paper crafts. Everything is new to me so I have no idea how not to use the wonderful inventions. So with our host answering my questions, Thank You Emma, I starred at my machine, my cuttle bug and my even punches, and said to them all "Not this week girls, SORRY!" Yes, I used NO punches either! Ugh! I guess I really went old school. I picked up those things called scissors, my ruler and cut myself stiff! I did use a paper cutter but from what I understand is they have been around forever. You wonderful stamping crafters out there who patiently cut out those stamped images by hand, my hat is off to you! I truly had fun with this because it makes you appreciate what you have and show you don't need to have everything that is out there! Okay my SIL is reading this totally disagreeing with me! Lol.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday # 28

Fantabulous Cricut is having a challenge about harvest time. So you need to create a project having to do with gardening ( plants, gardening tools, vegetables, etc.) Well this challenge is almost perfect for me. My husband and I live on his Grandparents farm. Don't mistake me for that Great Farmers wife... I am not. He does this mainly as a hobby. Anyway my husband and our 5 year old son, he just turned 5 a few days ago, spend hours, I MEAN hours on tractors. They love to mow, plow and as of this year plant corn and soy beans! Yes, their new adventure! So when I look out my kitchen window I just see the corn they planted! They are so proud of it! Lol. Again, I am not that good farmers wife... suburban girl here! SO  I made this card for my son's birthday because of him and his Dad's love for their corn and for the love of their John Deere Tractors. If I might point out I did not put in the weeds that grew in between the corn stalks, out of respect for them, iI just added the grass leading up to the corn field! Lol. I did put on  2 black Crows  and left out the deer who did eat some of their corn! They did an awesome job! Sorry for the story but I do hope you enjoy the card!

I used Country Life and I can't remember where I got the grass. I  did alter the tractor because there was a girl driving it. If I would have left her on they might have thought there was hope of me driving a tractor... NOT going to happen! LOL. I was inspired by a awesome DT by the name of Samantha.

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ "LET's Face IT" Friday ~ Week 1

Peachy Keen has done it again! They have a new challenge called "Lets Face It Friday"! This is their very 1st week for this new challenge. You have to use their stamps, which our awesome and I truly wish I had them ALL. Their DT's did an awesome job... as usual!  We had to make some sort of Halloween treat containers. I will be making these for my son's Pre-School party. I want to give credit where credit is due. I learned these off of Made by Momo. She had an awesome tutorial on these, go check her out! I did have to alter mine because I had HUGE bags and Michael's isn't open at 1:30 in the am! Lol. They really need to rethink that! I hope you enjoy!

Peachy Keen Stamp Challenge #36 ~ Color Combo and Sketch

Angelica did it again! She challenges us to come up with a card, layout or some project using a color combination! Well, I just love this because it really makes you think! I love these kind of challenges but it does take me quite along time to come up with something but LOVE it... makes my little mind spin!  So I decided to make Thank You card for my best friends Mom! Karen has a small catering business. She knew we had a lot of company last weekend and how stress full things can be in our household right now. Karen knows how much my Dad LOVES her cooking and especially her gravy, that she made our family a FULL dinner. So I wanted to to say Thanks! I hope you enjoy... and Angelica Thank You for such awesome challenges!

Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge ~ Episode 93

Emma is back with another Throwback Thursday Challenge! This week we get to choose from an "Old" cartridge. Since I just started all mine seem to be new to me but I was told that Sesame Street Font is older! So My sweet little niece is turning 2 and she LOVES Elmo. So I made her a card that is simple and that didn't require alot because I know she is going to want to play with it! I bought some red velvet like paper. Hope you enjoy! I know she will love it, plus there is NO choking hazards!

Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge #81 "Princess"

This week Emma over at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ would like us to use The Tinkerbell Cartridge. Well since I do not have that one I used the 2 closest ones to a princess that I do have ; Once Upon A Princess  and Storybook. This was a challenge for me, since I only have a boy, but I love challenges! I made this for one of my son's friends in his class who has a Birthday approaching soon. I made her a little purse and a magical wand. Since her name begins with the letter "A" I put in on it. I will put a gift card in and stuffed it with tissue paper. I hope this is Princess enough but I am hoping with her magical wand she can get rid of her food allergies!

Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge #9 ~ "Back To School"

So excited that Throwback Thursday are back and I was able to participate! This week we had the "Back To School" theme. Emma used the "Paisley" cartridge, I do not own that one but I do have "Makin The Grade" cartridge. So I decided to do a 12x12 page and make it sorta look like a chalkboard! I used all scraps for this except for the brown and black paper to make the chalkboard. Always saving scraps, I have a drawer full of them and finally found some use! Lol. This was my son's first day of pre-school in 2008, again shows how far behind I am! I hope you enjoy!

The Cuttlebug Spot Challenge ~ "Christmas In July" and The Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog

The Cuttlebug Spot is having a challenge this week about "Christmas In July". We had to emboss some part of our card. I decided to do a door with a Christmas wreath hanging on it. I used Wild Card Cartridge and a scrap piece of shiny black paper ( sort of like film strip) for my door. I used my Cuttlebug distressed stripes folder and I made it look like an old crackled door! Made a wreath, sort of, and put a shiny brad for the door knob.  So here is my creation and any suggestions on how to make a wreath are welcomed! Hope you enjoy!

Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge #7~ "Wild Card" Cartridge

This week at Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge we had to use the "Wild Card" cartridge. We had to pick our "FAVORITE" holiday! Well I love Halloween. So I changed it up a little~ I picked the Autumn card and the pumpkin card, mixed them together. I used shiny black paper that reminds me of film strip, you really can't tell in the picture. I cut my "Happy Halloween", my spider and bat out of glitter paper. Put some embellishments on and here it is! Hope you enjoy!
