MCT ~ 3~D Wednesday

Happy Hump Day! We all know what Wednesday's bring ~ 3~D projects from the My Creative Time design team! I LOVE that  Emma started having 3~D projects on her blog! I have so much fun coming up with ideas on what to make.

 

Today's project was a rather simple one I must say! I was so inspired by my picture from yesterday, click here to see, that I had to make something to coordinate with the card. Now I bought this little glass light bulb back in November when I was in New Jersey. It was my first trip to Hobby Lobby. I have seen many of my crafty friends use this little bulb I wanted to give it a try. Since I used MME washi tape for my background yesterday I thought my tag need it too! I did stamp my light bulb image on it. I will say use Stazon Ink ~ less chance of smearing. I just dropped in some lemon heads candy inside the bulb to add some color and done! I told you something very simple. I will list all my details below the pictures.

MCT ~ Inspire Me Tuesday

Well happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Today is "Inspire Me Tuesday" over at My Creative Time. This is when Emma and the design team makes any type of project that inspires us! It can be a color combination, television show, junk mail, photo, magazine cover... anything at all. Who isn't inspired by something!

 

When I looked around my craft room I was inspired by my MME washi tape and my Stampin Up ribbon. I seem to LOVE the color yellow right now! It is cheerful, happy color and totally makes me smile! After picking what inspire me, I knew what My Creative Time sentiment and die would work PERFECTLY with my inspiration. I just placed my washi tape on white card stock, added some ribbon and the sentiment! Very CAS.  I am actually happy how this card turned out!

MCT ~ Designer's Challenge ~ Summer Theme

Good morning! Today is there is a new Designer Challenge over at My Creative Time! Our host this time around is the very talented Miss Amy. She has asked us and all of you to create a project with a Summer Theme! Your project can be anything that you associate with summer; a barbecue, beach, vacation, color palette, picnic.. anything summery! Head on over to Emma's blog and get all the details! For my project today I wanted to use colors and things that remind me of summer! Even though my project is very simple, it reminds me of our summer here at my house. The colors yellow reminds me of the sun and my Stella Dora flowers around my yard. Then my ribbon, red gingham, reminds me of a picnic tablecloth. Last but not least ice cream cones! YUMMY! Who doesn't love ice cream on hot summer days?? I figure I could whip these "Gift Holders " up pretty fast for family & friends and slip in a gift card to Dairy Queen! Of course the sentiments were fun to add too! I will list all the details below!

MCT ~ Tag-It Tuesday

Good morning and welcome to a "new" segment Emma over at My Creative Time has decided to add to our Tuesday's. It's called "Tag-It" Tuesday. I adore this idea because Emma has the BEST tags out there! We will be switching it up every other week along with "Inspire Me" Tuesday.

 

Let's get down to business here, I sure don't want to keep you long today. Today we will be working with the colors, RED, ORANGE and YELLOW.  So I searched through all of my tags that Emma has created and decided to pull out her first tag she came out with. I love that this tag is large and fits perfectly with a large gift bag. I wanted to create my tag to go with the sentiment "Happy Birthday with a cherry on top!" I wanted to sue this sentiment forever and never had the opportunity. So I searched all my MCT products trying to figure out how I can achieve cherries. Well needless to say Emma's dies are so versatile that I knew it wouldn't be a problem at all. I took the circle ornament from the "Warm Holiday Fun" stamp set and just cut off the little nib. I knew I wanted stems too and thought I could use one of two dies to achieve them. One could have been the stem from the "Stitched Daisy Die" but I felt that wasn't thick enough. Then I saw the "Stitched Umbrella Die" and it has a layer for the top of the umbrella. PERFECT! What do you think??

 

 

Sorry for the gloomy picture but apparently sun is not allowed where I live. Note: the rain drops on my cherries too! Rrrr! LOL
