MCT ~ Manly Monday

Today is Manly Monday over at My Creative Time with Emma and the design team. This is when we make "manly" cards.

For my project today I had golf on my mind! I simply pulled out the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies and cut out a circle, then used an embossing folder to get the little dimples. The new grass die from Pretty Edge Dies was perfect for the "rough" part of my card. My flag is from Ribbon End Banner and the sentiment on it is from Make A Wish stamp set. I used the More Stitched Edge Dies to make the pole for my flag. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from the Greatest Handyman set and of course I had to use the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More to frame it all out!

MCT ~ Inspire Me Wednesday

Good morning! Today is Inspire Me Wednesday over at My Creative Time with Emma and the design team! My card today was inspired from my friend and fellow design team member, Liz. I adored her design for the card she made for the February release blog hop. Click here to see Liz's card for my inspiration.

Liz simply used the Pretty Edge Dies  in the middle of her card, added some twine and a button.  I thought what a fabulous idea and loved the look of it!

I chose one of the four dies shapes from this set and did the exact same thing! My "thanks" is from the Thank You & Frame Dies, which I layered to give some dimension.

Super easy right! I loved her design so much I made another similar card for our last release, click here to see that project! Super easy right?

MCT ~ 65th Edition Release Blog Hop

Today I am featuring the stamp set, A Beautiful Day. I have to say this set is simply a fun and beautiful set to work with! I simple colored my poppy flowers with Copic markers. I decided to use the Photobooth Stitched Die and frame them out. Since I was on a roll this time around with rectangular card, I had to use the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More. I really love how this card turned out!

MCT ~ 65th Edition Release Sneak Peek Day 4

 

Good morning!! Welcome to the final day of the 65th Edition Sneak Peeks over at My Creative Time with Emma and the design team! Today we have two fun sets to share with you, Stitched Butterfly and Long Treat Box Die. The butterfly is simply darling and the new treat box is so stinking CUTE!!!

I kept my project fairly simply, by just die cutting out the box and putting it together. I did use the long window box/label die for this box as card. I wanted to show you that this could be used a little differently.  I simply scored it in half and stamped a sentiment from the Make A Splash set. Simple right??

MCT ~ 65th Edition Release Sneak Peek Day 3

 

Good morning! Today kicks off day 3 of the My Creative Time 65th Edition with Emma and the design team. We sure hope you have enjoyed the first few days of this release!

Today we are featuring the new stamp and die set, Make A Splash! Oh my word this set is seriously the CUTEST set ever! It has so many wonderful sentiments and some sweet dies!

I used the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More for the shape of my card. Truly, if you haven't picked up this set, you need too! For my puddle and rain drops I just inked up a piece of paper with Memento ink and then die cut the shapes out. The boots with the polka dots caught my eye first when I saw this set, so I had to use these first! Aren't they darling?? I added a sentiment and called it a day! This set is a must have set because of the cuteness!!!

MCT ~ 65th Edition Release Sneak Peek Day 2

Good morning! Today kicks off day 2 of the My Creative Time 65th Edition Release Sneak Peeks with Emma and the design team.

Today we are featuring the new stamp and die set, Showers of Happiness. Now this set is simply amazing too with a variety of umbrellas, dies and sentiments! Seriously adorable!

I kept this card pretty simple by stamping the umbrella with the polka dot umbrella stamp. I die cut the rain drops on vellum and inked a few here and there on my background. The gray part at the bottom of my card was made by using the More Stitched Edges, I then heat embossed my sentiment. The clouds are from the Fun Stitched Cloud Dies. one of my favorite die sets is the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More is my go to set to frame out any card. I added a little twine bow on the handle of the umbrella to brighten my card just a tad.

Today we are showcasing the new stamp set, A Beautiful Day. This set has coordinating dies, the sweetest little poppy flowers and sentiments. I colored my poppy flowers with Copic markers and die cut them out.  I placed the poppy flowers on the  Bunch of Stitched Doily Dies. I thought using the grass die from the Pretty Edge Dies was a fun little touch to my card just to add some more detail. I simply added some twine and a button to my card to finish it off.

MCT ~ Weird Holiday

Hello crafty friends! Today over at My Creative Time, Emma and the design team are doing projects for "Weird Holidays!" I have to admit I have never heard of this before and thought what a fun idea! I searched the March calendar, which you can click here to see what else they have going on this month.

I chose to pick the weird holiday that fell on March 3, "I Want You to be Happy", which by the way I find completely weird because who doesn't want someone to be happy. But they also could me they truly want someone to be happy with maybe the choices they make in their life or maybe a pick me up?? Who knows but I thought the play with words for this one would be fun by choosing the word "Bee" and using a bee die cut!

To create the background for my card I used the Stitched Honey Comb Dies, taped the die cut in various places on my cardstock and inked it heavily in the center and lightly on the edges. The Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More is a perfect set to add dimension or layering to your cards. The sentiment if from the stamp set Bee Happy, which I heat embossed on one of the Ribbon End Banners Dies. The sweet bee is from the Bee Happy set as well. Now to keep the bee's wings white and try to get the bee the same color as my honey comb background, I stamped a bee, then cut the wings off. I then stamped another bee, using VersaMark and VersaFine, so I could heat emboss my bee. I then taped the wings over my embossed bee and used the same ink as my background, super easy solution right?

Good morning! Today over at My Creative Time with Emma and the design team where are doing a Spring Fling with water colors.

I must admit some how, some way I TOTALLY missed my name on the schedule. But thank goodness my sweet boss lady is totally understandable ~ thanks Emma!
