Welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday's. This week both card teams have come together for our challenge to make cards for a very special little boy. Angelo, who is the grandson of Margie from Bella Bug Creations, who is going through a very difficult time right now. This little boy went through brain surgery last week and will begin chemotherapy next week. You can read more about Angelo on this post over at Margie's blog http://bellabugcreations.blogspot.com/2011/06/angelo.html . We hope you will all join us and make a card for Angelo too.
For my card I wanted to make it bright, colorful, cheerful and something all little boys love...trains. I used Create a Critter but decided to flip the train so it is heading in the right direction just like Angelo.

We hope you all will join us for this little boy and his family!

Father's Day Card From Ryan To His Daddy!

Hello I thought I would share my son's card for his Dad. Yesterday we spent ALL day working on this card. When I say ALL day, I mean ALL day! He picked SpongeBob! I thought great this will be very simple. Cut it out, stick it together and we are done... hour tops! Little did I know when he looked at the picture he wanted it to be EXACTLY like it! So  he picked the colors and I paper pierced all the details! Thank goodness he thinks it perfect because I just see the smudge marks from his little fingers, how it doesn't line up and many other mishaps. Lol. He really sat beside me for a good portion of it, waiting patiently. He ran the background paper thru the Cuttlebug and sanded it. Thanks Stephanie for Ryan's "NEW" favorite tool! He seriously wants to use it for everything. He even help do the eyelets, picked the little alphabet letter beads( I forgot I had) and put the twine thru the eyelets.. He used the ATG gun and stamped the sentiment. I did the embossing. I surely didn't want to go to the ER explaining 3rd degree burns from a scrapbooking tool! We had a lot of fun doing it together and he is sooo excited to give this to his Dad.
Yes ~ he is still in his pajamas in the late afternoon. Yes ~ he wears longs sleeves and bottoms even in the summer!  But the smile is just priceless!

Materials:

Cartridge ~ SpongeBob
Stamp ~ My Creative Time ~ You're My Best Buddy
Paper ~ Scraps form my scrap TRUNK!
Extras ~ Twine from PTI, eyelets, Zing Embossing powder, Sakura pen, Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles embossing folder, Alphabet beads

Graduation Card

Hello ~ I thought I would post my graduation cards I made for three graduation parties we have. I used Emma's, My Creative Time, stamps. I have to tell you how much I love them. These cards are very basic, easy and quick to put together. The first graduate just LOVED hers... so I am crossing my fingers that the other two graduates like their card too!

Materials:
Cartridge: Locker Talk
Papers: PTI, Stampin Up and recollections
Extras: Zing embossing powder, PTI twine, foam, Sakura pen and brads

Whimisical Wednesday Challenge ~ Father's Day

Hello and welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge. This week we are featuring Father's Day. It can be your Father or any other wonderful man in your life. I am so fortunate to have such an amazing Dad. He is "My Hero".

I actually used my Imagine for the background paper. I even challenged myself with using the colors I chose... not typically my favorites but tried to make it masculine. I couldn't resist and add just a little bling.. sorry Dad those gems were calling me! When I saw this stamp I had to have it and I knew for months how I was going to use it. It totally defines my Dad. So here was my take on the challenge.

I couldn't resist but to make my card match my milk container from a previous post. I hope you enjoy!

Materials:
Cartridges: Imagine "Best Friends" and C.C. "Stand and Salute"
Stamps: PTI "Star Prints" and "My Hero, My Dad"
Paper: PTI and Bazzill

Whimsical Wednesday ~ Tag IT!

Hello and welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge. This week it is all about TAGS! Oh how exciting. I have only made one tag before and I so enjoyed making it. Unfortunately like many of my projects, there was no post or picture! So I asked Stephanie if I could join in this week. The only thing that you HAVE to include is BLING! Yep ~ that's it!
Well for my tags I made them super easy! A couple of weeks ago I did a project for a baby shower my Mom and I were invited too. The new parents are from out of state and they asked for no cards but really wanted to start a library for their baby. So I made my own wrapping paper and made a card/ gift card holder for the gift cards. They also wanted us to sign the books. So instead of easily signing the books I decided to make cute coordinating tags to personalize it!
I chose two of my favorite books my son has and still loves! So for my first tag I chose ladybugs. For my bling I just added some black glossy accents to the spots and antennas of the ladybug. i tried to make it child proof as much as possible.

The second tag the bling is the monkeys eye from Viva Decor pen!

Okay I know lots of pictures. These were real simple and just a little more personal.

Materials for both tags:
Cartridges ~ Zoobaloo and Walk In My Garden
Stamps ~ My Creative Time "All Star Baby" , Market Street Stamps "Burlap" , "Simply Stitched Borders" , Stampin Up "Blossom"
Extras: Twine from The Twinery, Viva Decor Pen, Black Glossy Accents, ink and chalk.

I hope you enjoyed my tags. Something so easy but fun to create. Please go over to Whimsical Wednesday's and see what my fellow design team members have created. I am sure you won't be disappointed, I can't wait to see.

Proud Mom!

Hello ~ I just wanted to update everyone on a project I was working on. My son, Ryan ,was graduating from Pre-School and I did Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge. I decided to make mini milk cartons for his class. I stuffed them all with mini M & M's.  Well I finished a few days before the "BIG" event and last Friday was graduation day! So I thought I would share the finished product and a picture of him in his cap and gown. I couldn't put the children's names on the caps, so instead I just put ~ FROM ~ Ryan. I just wanted to share with you all how proud we are of him! You can tell how proud he was of himself!

Don't forget tomorrow is Wednesday and Whimsical Wednesday's will have a new challenge up ~ hope to see you there!

Cottage Blog Challenge #1

Hello and happy Sunday! I have ALWAYS admired Janice from Stamping With Janice. She does AMAZING creations not just with stamps but with Scrappin Cottage Dies. Well I hopped over to her blog the other day, she did this BEAUTIFUL card. So  I read her post to find out there is another challenge blog. This is their 1st challenge. Please go over to the Scrappin Cottage Blog to check out all the details!
So I really needed to make a Thank You card for a dear friend! She has helped me out tremendously lately and I just wanted to make her something cute and special. Well I sadly admit I only own a few Cottage dies and they all happen to be designed by Peachy Keen Stamps. Of course I would LOVE to own ALL of them but that is not in my budget. The ones I do have I absolutely LOVE!
So for this challenge we had to base our creations off of this beautiful photo. I definitely took the cuties route but I think you will see my idea. The color pink is so my friend and the photo screams pink! I used my Cottage Cutz Duck w/ Egg for my duck, Cottage Cutz Flowers for my leaves and the Duck Accessories Die for my umbrella. I also have been influenced by Donna from Popsicle Toes. She does AMAZING layering with foam, okay everything she does is amazing! So I thought why not try my Cottage Dies and foam! WOW! These dies are just incredible! Who would have thought you can use foam with these dies too! I LOVE it! So I cut my first layer of the duck with SU paper and the rest foam. It really made her pop! SO I decided to do the umbrella and bow in foam. I added some gems from my I-Rock to my umbrella.. NOTE: heat and foam DON'T mix! Lol. The stamp is from PTI ~ Handwritten Notes. The flowers I made from a previous project and had some leftovers! I hope you enjoy. Sorry if this has misspelled words, horribly written but the SUN IS FINALLY OUT HERE IN PA! I gotta go and embrace it! We have had nothing but RAIN for a month! Please go check out this new challenge blog... you won't be disappointed!

Whimsical Wednesday ~ Back To Basics

Hello and welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge. This week it is back to basics! That means "NO" Cricut! Yep... NO CRICUT! I LOVE this challenge. I have truly only known the Cricut, so these challenges I find so fun! I know some of you can't believe what you are reading! So all you have to do is get your creative juices flowing (which I know you ALL have) use NO Cricut and you must add some "old school" embellishment such as a sticker, rub on or anything but NO Cricut!! Very easy!
So for my card I needed to make three cards for my son's Teachers and Principal!I decided to try my hand at a Z fold card! I made them all the same to make it fair! I used my Sizzix for my felt flower, my PTI die for my flower pot, some chip board letters, twine, ribbon, a brad, an eyelets and some clear plastic.I think this is  pretty "Old School"! I have a space for a note and the  other side for their gift cards.

Materials:
PTI~ paper, felt ribbon,rectanglar dies
The Twinery~ Twine
Chip Letters~ Thickers
Misc. brad and eyelets

For the Back To Basics Challenge, our own creative Zeni over at http://scrappyzeni.blogspot.com/ is sponsoring this challenge! She is giving away a Cosmo Cricket Home Decor Lacing Set! Thank You Zeni!

My Creative Time ~ Throwback Thursday

Emma over at My Creative Time is having her Throwback Thursday but something extra special this time! This week she has asked us to use the Cartridge Doodlecharms! Well, again one of my favorites! You MUST include something BLUE on your creation. Well let me tell you how I came up with my card. My son is graduating from Pre-school this Friday! I am so excited but sad ~ where has the time gone! Anyway the other day I was sitting in my craft space playing along with Emma's stamp set My Little Firecracker. Along comes Ryan, always curious, and said he LOVED the stars and colors! He immediately asked if I was making him a card for graduating. I honestly never thought about it... I immediately said YES! Smart Mom, quick on her toes. Then he brought up that when we would go shopping or just be out we would count all the flags along the way and how much he LOVED to do that. I forgot about that and then Emma posted a day later about the challenge! I know it is not a traditional graduation card but for me it fits PERFECTLY for him! I have to say I LOVE how this turned out and just shows how Emma's stamps can be so versatile too! I decided to do an easel card. My very first one! I decide to use the star background  stamp for the top and use the little stars to use for accents. You can easily alternate the stars with two inks to give it a different  look! See how versitile these stamps can be for your project. You can make your own paper! Thanks Emma for such awesome stamps!

So I hope you enjoy and go check out this week over at My Creative Time for all the details... you ONLY have 1 week to complete your creation.

Recipe;
Cartridge: Doodlecharms
Paper: PTI and Bazzill
Extras: Star brads& eyelets, SU punch and inks, clear craft plastic( Thanks Stephanie), Zig embossing powder and foam to 3D star & sentiment

Peachy Keen ~ LFIF ~ Banner ~ Up

Peachy Keen LFIF is having a fun challenge this week! You must create a project using Peachy Keen Faces either in a banner or on a project that contains pennants.  Well this was perfect for me again! My Mom and I were invited to a dear friends daughters baby shower. Well since the new parents-to-be are from out of state they really don't want to ship  a ton of gifts. The want us to bring books for the baby's library and no cards! Say what... NO CARDS! Well unfortunately my Mom and I are not able to attend and how do I put gift cards in a book! So here is what i came up with;
I made a note/gift card holder using my Sizzix die. Perfect... it fits the gift cards and a small note! I LOVE how this turned out! I also didn't like how colorful the books were so I wrapped them. I also didn't have cute baby boy wrapping paper so I decided to create my own. I didn't have plain white wrapping paper so I took butcher paper and stamped with my favorites PKS and MCT stamps!

MATERIALS:
Sizzix Die
Everyday Paper Dolls
PKS 531 Simple Sallies Face Assortment
My Creative Time  All Star Baby
PTI Background Basic Gingham
PTI Star Prints
PTI Banner Builder Collection
PTI Twine
Velcro

I hope you enjoy!

Do More With Less

Hello everyone ~  I have to make this short and sweet! I was introduced to this amazingly talented, creative, funny and versatile person just a few months age. Thank You Stephanie! Her name is Donna, from Popsicle Toes. If you have never seen or heard of her you need to go check her blog out! She is just INCREDIBLE! Well she is a guest designer for Do More with Less, another wonderful blog! Donna gives her secret out on how she gets her creations their AMAZING dimension! Thank you Donna!
So my son has a Birthday Party this weekend. I asked him what kind of card would you like me to make. Of course he said a dump truck! Ugh, another dump truck! I have to say I actually LOVED this dump truck! I made it very simple and easy... again a 5 year old is not going to care about it! LOL.
I used B is for Boy lite cartridge for the dump truck. My papers are PTI, SU and paper from my scrap stash(yellows). I used my Tim Holtz mesh embossing folder to give the dirt some texture. I also put these adorable gems for my tires! Thank You Stephanie ~ I LOVE them! My ribbon is from Micheal's and of course My Creative Time stamp set, Wow! So Many Candles . I hope you go over and check out both of these blogs... they will not dissapoint! Donna, Thank You for always being so kind, funny, inspiring and supportive!

Throwback Thursday

Hello, Emma over at My Creative Time is having a 3-D challenge! You can create any 3-D item such as gift card sets, gift bags, treat bags etc. but you must use ANY OLDER cartridge of your choice. My son is graduating from Pre-school in a few weeks. Yes... we are so proud! LOL. No, we really are, we were told he is the most polite child at the school! As parents we felt like we got an "A+"! So I have decided to make something VERY simple and easy! Why? I , like many of you, spend hours on projects for people who truly will appreciate them. But for 4 and 5 year old children to rip them apart to get to the goodies... I really needed to keep it simple! I have to say these are cute and the kids will love the mini M& M's inside. I used Emma's Follow Your Dream stamps, The Twinery twine, Locker Talk and Stampin Up die! You can't tell in the pictures but I layered the graduation cap and put foam in between to give it some dimension. I hope you enjoy~ my camera is not taking the best pictures today so please bare with me!

Only 17 more to make! Again easy, fun, and simple! Emma you rock with this set too!

Whimsical Wednesday ~ It's A Royal Celebration

Hello and welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge and this week it's all about the Royal Wedding! Well unless you have been under a rock, Prince William and Kate are getting married! Let me start off by telling you how excited I am for them and how excited I was to do this challenge! I just adored Princess Diana! I stayed up to watch Prince Charles and Princess Diana get married. I hope my eyes stay awake to see Prince William and Kate get married too! His Mum would have loved to see this day but I am sure she is up there watching and protecting them.
So for my card I tried to keep it as royal, elegant and simple as possible. I stayed with blues, grays and silver. I cut my wedding dress from the Sweethearts cartridge. I used my Cuttlebug Frills folder for the bottom layer of the dress. The top layer of the wedding dress I ran through my Zyron, so I could cover it with jewelry and micro beads. I also used my Market Street Stamps "Vintage Wallpaper" for my background. I LOVE this stamp! My sentiment is from PTI "Ribbon Tails". I added some tulle ,a little embellishment and here you have it!  I really like how this turned out!
Please be sure to hop on over to Whimsical Wednesday blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has created. You will find the link there to enter your porject for this challenge. I can't wait to see what you will create!

Whimsical Wednesday Challenge

Hello and welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge. I would like to Thank Stephanie for allowing me to be a part of this incredible challenge blog and team. If you are new to Whimsical Wednesdays we have a scrapbooking challenge the first Wednesday of every month, and then other paper crafting projects each Wednesday for the rest of the month. This week our challenge is April Showers bring May flowers. We were asked to use at least one of the following elements: umbrella, rain boots, rain drops or flowers. Well if you have been to my blog lately, FLOWERS are on my mind! So here is my take on the challenge.

I really had a lot of fun with this card! I chose to put flowers in my umbrella. I cut my umbrella twice from the Sweetheart Cartridge. I taped the sides and edges of the umbrella so I can stuff it with tissue paper to puff it up. It made is easier to stuff my little flowers inside.  I made my flowers with strips of plain white paper and inked them. My choice of paper colors for my base of the card is my parent's high school colors: Purple, Yellow/Gold and white. Obviously this is for my Mom ~ she really needs some extra love right now. I also used Emma's, My Creative Time,  "Mom You Rock" stamps set. I LOVE this stamp set... okay I LOVE them ALL.

This week our challenge is being sponsored by the AMAZING Emma over at My Creative Time and has generously donated her stamp set "Mom You Rock" for the giveaway. I was so thrilled that I chose to use this stamp set for my project. Please be sure to hop over to the Whimsical Wednesday blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I am sure their projects are amazing and inspiring. You will find the link there to enter your project for this challenge, and the guidelines. We can't see what you will create.

Throwback Thursday ~ Cricut~ Less Challenge

Emma over at My Creative Time is having her Throwback Thursday Challenge. This challenge is to use a sketch and NO Cricut! I love this! I loved when she did one awhile back! Thank You Emma!
My card is a belated Birthday to someone dear to my heart. She loves purple! So I used my Martha Stewart punch, spellbinders, and my sizzix flower die. I ran my flowers thru my Zyron and added some MS beads. I used My Creative Time stamps, " Mom You Rock" for my sentiment. If you haven't seen Emma's stamps, you really need to go and check them out! They are just incredible! I used my SU punch to give a layer affect for the sentiment, some Papertrey Ink twine, ribbon and button! I hope you enjoyed.

Whimsical Wednesday's Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Whimsical Wednesday's Grand Opening Blog Hop! So glad you could join us. You should have arrived from the super talented Nanne's blog. If you just happen to stop by to say hello you can just start at the beginning of the hop by clicking here.

I made this for my "BEST FRIEND". We have been friends for over 20 years and she is turning the "BIG 40" in May. I thought this would be cute, fun and still use BLACK but not make it so dreadful!
So I cut the purse with chipboard ( I wanted it to be sturdy) at 5 1/4 and then cut the Stampin Up paper to cover at the same size for a more decorative look. I wanted  to put something to emphasize her birthday so I made little paper lollipops. I covered the white lollipop sticks with some ribbon. I cut the lollipop shapes from Accent Essentials in 3 different sizes. I ran 2 of the sizes thru my Zyron so I could add the glitter for a little bling. I LOVE that little machine! I also put floral foam in the inside so the sticks will be sturdy. Added a little glitter, ribbon, some wire and some paper from my scraps for a filler.
I made a coordinating card that slips inside the purse!

The materials I used is as follows;
Cartridges: Tags,Bags,Boxes and More, Accent Essentials, Wild Card, Storybook
Stamps: Papertrey Ink~ Around and About Sentiments & Birthday Bash
Paper: Stampin Up, Papertrey Ink and Black Chipboard
Extras: Martha Stewart Glitter, Memento Black, Inkseentials Enamel Accents, ribbon, lollipop sticks and wire

So for my blog candy I will be giving away some of the products I used to make my project.
Xyron 5" Creative Station (510)
Inkssentials Enamel Accents pack (black and white)
Martha Stewart 3 pack glitter and glue( onyx, sterling, hematite)

All you have to do is leave a comment and a way for me to contact you. Please just try to leave one comment. I do have to approve the comments, so I will try to quickly post your comments. If you would like, you can become a follower but it is not neccessary! That is it! The hop ends Sunday at midnight EST. I hope to have the winner up Monday! The winner has a week to contact me with their information.

I LOVE them along with all of Emma's other stamps! I also used my other favorite stamps, Peachy Keen Stamps, "Snow Cuties". Love their stamps too! The Cuttlebug Spot Challenge ~ Buttons

This week over at the Cuttlebug Spot they are having a challenge using buttons! Oh how we all LOVE them! So this was a real quick card since my 5 year old reminded me that our dear neighbors granddaughters birthday is today! Total panic! So I thought this would be fun to put the age she is turning with BUTTONS! Easy right... well when the 5 year old saw the buttons, fingers were everywhere! LOL. So fun to craft under stress and a curious 5 year old...NOT! Anyway I used some buttons I purchased (forgot about them) with these cool bright colors, trying to make it some what age appropriate! I used my cuttlebug for the SU top note, and Tim Holtz embossing folder, some ribbon and a little ink! So if you have time please head on over and use up some of your buttons! I hope you enjoy!
