MCT ~ 3~D Wednesday

Hello crafty friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I know we did! We had some baseball games and a fun picnic!

Well today is Wednesday and that means it's 3~D Wednesday over at My Creative TimeEmma and the design team are hoping to inspire you all with anything BUT a card! I have to say again, I LOVE that Emma started this segment! I get so excited to see every one's creations!

Today I wanted to show you what we are starting to teach our son! NO ~ not the vodka bottle but how to not only recycle but save for special things! We thought it would be a great learning tool for him to save up any spare change we had, so we could take him on a fun vacation next year! Now obviously we are just going to do this by saving change, even though if I admitted how many red Solo cups we have filled with change in my house , you might just think we are hoarders! LOL!

I really wanted to create a scene for us to focus on our goal! The "Stitched Journal Die" was the PERFECT size for my scene and bottle. I am in LOVE with this die and could use it every single day! I know it isn't fully on the jar but I have a reason for that! I plan on taking this off the bottle after we return from our vacation (next year) and put it in with all the photos I plan on taking! I LOVE how the "Stitched Umbrella Die" could be used for a beach umbrella! The "Stitched Oval Die" I tried to make it a surf board ~ not to bad right? Then for my beach ball, this was an after thought, I decided to use the little circle die from "Build A Banner Kit". I could have played with it a little more but I hope you all get the idea! My sun is from the stamp set "Fun Pockets". I just paper pieced it twice to get a little more rays. My sand is sand paper I borrowed from my husbands stash! I will list the rest of my materials below the picture!

MCT ~ Thrifty Thursday

Good morning! I know long time no see ~ right? I am so sorry I have been a tad MIA STILL! Life just keeps getting in the way! We finally  (fingers crossed) are over the nasty stomach bug and now I am playing catch up with work and what seems to be a huge mountain of stuff neglected around here! Hopefully starting next week I will be back blog stalking and seeing all your amazing creations!

I would also like to say how sad I am for all those affected my this horrific tornado. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Well today is "Thrifty Thursday" over at My Creative Time. I am so excited to participate today because its all about scraps! If you are anything like me, I save every little piece of paper! I will not share with you the amount of scraps I have but lets just say I have a ton! LOL!

For todays' card I not only wanted to use scraps but to show you again how versatile Emma's products are! Of course when I first receive any MCT dies I start by die cutting in different colors and patterned papers! Maybe that is why I have so many scraps! LOL! Any way, after looking at them for awhile, I start envisioning them as other things too! I haven't done this in awhile because of how busy I have been but this one didn't take me long at all to see! I used the "Stitched "Capture Frame w/ Arrow" for my actual window. The wrappers from the "Treat Slide Box" ( PRE~ORDER item) for my flower box. Can you guess what die I used for my leaves??? I used the cloth part from the "Stitched Chunky Jar Dies".  I think it turned out pretty cute! I will list the rest of my materials below.

Head on over to My Creative Time and see what the rest of  the design team has created for you!

For my card today I wanted to mix some new stamps and dies set with some older ones! I LOVE that Emma's products always work so wonderfully & perfectly together! Of course I will list all materials used below the picture. I will tell you a few things that I did to my card.  I cleared  embossed all the stamps that I used with my heat gun. I seriously am addicted to this technique! The look and feel in person is so cool! I also decided to stamp another banner so I could paper piece it. This way I could curl the ends up just a little for some dimension. I also used a small hole punch so I could thread some hemp for my banner. How cool is that! My little tags with my sentiments are wrapped around unused tooth picks (LOL)! Simple and quick little card for you all today!

MCT 3~D Wednesday

Good morning! Today is Wednesday and that means its another 3~D Wednesday with Emma, over at My Creative Time,  and the design team! This is when we create anything BUT a card! I LOVE doing 3~D items because they make the perfect little gifts!

Since it is Teacher Appreciation Week, I wanted to make something for my son's teacher. She is seriously the most wonderful teacher and person. Since my son hasn't been in school since last Friday , she was so thoughtful to bring all his school work to him yesterday! Isn't she AMAZING! We not only have been blessed by her but all the teachers in our school district. They all are truly incredible and LOVE their jobs!

Onto my project. I couldn't resist to using the "Treat Slider Box" for today's project! You can put nugget candies, gum and so many other things in it. I decided to use the wrappers to cover the little Dove chocolate candies, can't even see the blue foil wrappers. I taped them together in the back and tied some hemp to spruce them up a little bit. Cute right?? I will list the rest of my materials below!

Materials Used:

My Creative Time ~ "Treat Slider Box" ~ box

My Creative Time ~ "Stitched Daisy Die" ~ daisy
My Creative Time ~ "Stitched Leaves Dies" ~ leaves

MCT Scrapping The Little Things

Good morning! I know I have been a little MIA lately but with good reason. We all have been under the weather with cold/allergies. I am usually a night owl, but I have been in bed  before 10( if not earlier than that) for the past 2 weeks! Just when I thought we had a handle on things, my son caught a little bug, that he can't seem to shake! Hoping today is the day we say good-bye to all this ~ it's Spring and we haven't really enjoyed it yet!

Anyway today it "Scrapping The Little Things" with Emma, over at My Creative Time, and the design team! Today is "Nurse's Day" ( HUGE shout out to ALL those wonderful people out there who REALLY do care about their patients) so we will be incorporating anything wellness/health related ~ a doctor visit, recovery, get well, working out into our PL, Smash book or scrapbook layouts. I LOVE Emma's stamps and dies for layouts!

I decided to scrap my son's first "boo boo"! He was not even 2 yet and had a mishap with my dad's outside wheelchair! Poor hubs was in a little panic when he called me to tell me this! He also was feeling a tad guilty ~ not like he let him do this on purpose or anything ~ accidents happen! Lets just say this day is something I never want to repeat but grateful it wasn't anything too serious!

I will list all my materials below the picture. I also would like to reminding everyone that Miss Glora is hosting the Designer Challenge this time around! Click here for all the details. I hope to actually play along too! Fingers crossed we get back to normal real soon!
