My Creative Time ~ Throwback Thursday

It's time for another Throwback Thursday challenge with Emma over at My Creative Time. To play along you can use ANY older cartridge USING YOUR CRICUTS and make a project of your choice. This week I will be using the Anyday Bingo & Crossword stamp set. When Emma first came out with this set I knew I had to have it! My Mom LOVES to play Bingo! She isn't the normal bingo player ~ with the beehive hair or trolls and stuff. But she does have her little corks! Pictures and her favorite place to sit! She even dresses nice! Anyway this set was PERFECT for her Birthday card this year!

For my card I used 2 different older cartridges. My intention was to make an "OLD" style Bingo card, like when they used the wire basket. Today, apparently, they use computers! Who knew??? So I decided to manipulate a globe! Like I said ~ I tried my best. I actually don't think it looks too bad! I used the globe from Graphically Speaking; cut twice and layered it. Then I used the base of the globe from Cursive 101. I just paper pieced the cuts and flipped the globe part to make it my own invention! It actually pops up a little ~ to give it a 3D affect! For my bingo chips I used the Anyday Bingo & Crossword stamp set for the letters then used my Epiphany epoxy gadget to make them feel and look like actual bingo chips. For my bingo balls I used the All Around Birthday Time stamp set for the numbers of the bingo balls. I stamped the numbers on little wood circles from Michael's. They stamp so wonderfully on them! To add a personal touch ~ all the numbers are significant dates in our family. My bingo card is actually a card ~ so it opens. I would have taken pictures of it but I already wrote a special note to my Mom. I knew it would have been hard to write on the card because of the puffiness.

Materials Used:

My Creative Time Stamp Set ~ Anyday Bingo & Crossword ~ card bingo card & letters
My Creative Time Stamp set ~ All Around Birthday Time ~ numbers for bingo balls
Cricut Cartridges ~ Graphically Speaking & Cursive 101 ~ globe and globe base
Paper ~ Paper Trey Ink, Stampin Up, Coordinations
Twinery Twine
Inks ~ Tim Holtz & Archival
Epiphany Crafts Epoxy Stickers
Woodsies circles

So head on over to Emma's blog, My Creative Time and see what she and the other DT's creations! I am sure you WON'T be disappointed! We hope you can play along with us ~ we can't wait to see what you ALL create!

PKS Challenge 10 ~ Faux Stitching

Good morning! I finally get to join the Peachy Keen Challenge! Yeah! This week the are asking us to incorporate faux stitching into our cards! That is easy enough! It adds so much to a card! This week I made this card for my little friend Miss "H". She is such a trooper and incredibly strong young lady!

Onto my card ~ I used PKS Cupid Mouse! It is too CUTE! I added some glossy accents to her mouth and nose (very hard to see). I used my nesties to add the layer affect. I used My Creative Time "100% Sweetness Stamp Set" / stitched heart die for her to hold. The sentiment is from My Creative Time  "You Had Me At Chocolate" . I used my Epiphany Heart (14) for some accents. I also decided to pop up her belly, again hard to see and added an Action Wobble. Some twine, ribbon and my faux stitching around the out side of the card. Very quick and easy card! All paper used is from Paper Trey Ink.

Hope you enjoy!

My Creative Time ~ Favorite Stamp of the Month ~ Game Night

Good morning! Today myself and the design team over at My Creative Time will be featuring Emma's stamp set "Game Night". If you own this stamp set, play along and link it up to Mr. Linky so we can see your amazing creations. If you don't, don't worry because it is on SALE for the next couple of weeks! You can purchase it here. This stamp set has endless possibilities!

When I first saw this stamp set, "Game Night", the first thing I saw was the sentiment ~ " Play the hand your dealt...". So I made this card for my sister, she will totally get this card. It is a very unconventional card for me to send my sister but it will put a smile on her face and warmth in her heart.

I used the Old West cartridge. I hid all the features of this cut and welded it together to make a card. I made my own cards so they could fit perfectly onto the cut/ shape. I used the heart, diamond, clover and spade from the "Game Night" stamp set. To give the card/ cards some dimension I pop dotted the cards so they looked stacked. I also used used glossy accents to highlight the letters and shapes. I heat embossed the stamp card image and the sentiment. I used MCT Oval Stitch die and layered them. Added some twine and brads to finish the card off.

Materials Used:

My Creative Time Stamp Set ~ "Game Night" ~ sentiment, shapes and card image
My Creative Time ~ Oval Stitch Die
Cartridges ~ Old West ~ shape of card
Storybook ~ letters
Paper ~ Paper Trey Ink
Twinery Twine
Zing embossing powder
Glossy accents and brads

Okay DON'T forget if you own this stamp set head on over to My Creative Time and link your project up to Mr. Linky! If you don't this stamp set will be on SALE for the next few weeks.  You can purchase it here. It is such a FUN set to play around with! We can't wait to see what you come up with!

"Thanks Sew Much" Card ~ My Creative Time Blog Hop Winner!

Good morning today I have a real simple and quick card I made. So easy to put together using My Creative Time stamps and dies. I used the "Home Sewn" stamp set. Emma came out with this set last year but again I am just getting to play with them now! Just another set that is so fun to work with! I did throw in another die onto my card because I couldn't resist that cute little spool! I also used My Creative Time  XL Label Die and the Scallop and Stitched Circle die.
I always get AMAZED watching Emma's videos. She comes up with some fun ideas. In one of her videos she stamped on ribbon. I thought I would give it a try! It was so fun and easy to do! Thanks Emma! I had a hard time with lighting so I am posting 2 pictures. Both seem to shed light differently on my card. LOL.

Other Materials Used:

Tim Holtz Sewing Room Die ~ spool
Tim Holtz ~ Walnut Stain ~ ink
Paper ~ Paper Trey Ink ~ My Mind's Eye "Paris Co."
Ribbon ~ Michael's ~ Twill Tape and Jute

Keepin it Classy and Fabulous for Miss "H"

I just wanted to share with you a quick card I made for my sweet little friend Miss "H". She is truly "Classy and Fabulous"! During her journey she is definitely "Keepin' It Classy"!
I used Emma's  "Keepin' It Classy", "Classy and Fabulous" and "Build A Banner" stamp sets. You can purchase these over at My Creative Time shop by clicking here.

I used the houndstooth  stamp from the Build A Banner stamp set for her clothes, the background paper and the die ( which I layered). The silhouette came from the Keepin' It Classy stamps set! My sentiment on the die is from Classy & Fabulous. Let me just say these stamps ~ stamp BEAUTIFULLY! I purchased them last year and finally got to play with them ~ Oh my I just LOVE these! So perfect for all the teenagers and girlfriends in my life! LOVE these stamp sets!

Materials:
All paper and ribbon ~ Paper Trey Ink

Okay onto my project. I am showcasing the "You are Perk~fect" stamp set! Again, LOVE this stamp set! So I just got my gypsy and have really only played around with it a little bit! I also received the Love You Latte cartridge from a friend of mine. This cartridge fits so PERK~fectly with this stamp set, actually the entire release to be honest! So I decided to use the cocoa beans from this cartridge. I did layer the leaves differently than the image and cut the last layer of leaves. I decided to fold them and ink them to give them some dimension. Just to change it up. I think this could be a cute card for a friend who you owe a cup a coffee too! I used the Tim Holtz charms/ fragments for my sentiment ~ to try to make it look like another bean. Hope you enjoy!

I also decided to use coffee filters for the flowers as well. I used Emma's Stitched Scallop Die to make my flowers. I decided to stamp them with these ADORABLE little backgrounds from this set! Super Excited and Honored to Guest Design

Good Morning! I was beyond thrilled and excited when Liz from Liz's Paper Loft asked me to Guest Design on her blog. I know I don't have to tell you all how creative, talented and sweet she is! We share a common love ~ houndstooth! Anyway ~ Liz is recovery from surgery. Please make sure you leave her some love and encouraging words to lift her spirits. I am sure they will brighten her day!
So for my card today I wanted to use a color I generally don't work with! So I chose to use the color orange. My son LOVES this color and is always asking me to make something orange. So I thought to myself ~ why not! I made this card for a friend who has been under the weather lately and I hope this lifts her spirits!
I just got the Flower Shoppe cartridge and have yet to really play with it. If you have been to my blog before ~ I LOVE flowers! I think they are so beautiful and fun to work with. Plus I really need Spring to come ...FAST! After I finished my card, I realized it has Halloween written all over it! But I have to say, I really like how this turned out despite that fact! LOL!

Materials Used:
Cricut Cartridge ~ Flower Shoppe ~ cut @ 3 1/2
My Creative Time ~ Script Type Backgrounds ~ background and flowers
My Creative Time ~ Teeny Tag Greetings  w/ Teeny Tag Dies ~ dies and sentiments

Not only is she reading them, she's counting them, because at the end of all this, she will have two announcements! The first will be a winner of some exciting BLOG CANDY! The second, it's a big one...and no, she's not coming out with stamps...you just have to wait and see!

A Tag For Miss. "H" and Some Exciting News!

Hello today's post is going to be a looong post! There is a lot happening. First I want tell you that some of my fellow My Creative Time design team members will be guest designing over at Everyday Cricut ALL week! I am so excited for them! Miss Jeanne from Jeanne's Paper Craft is today's guest! Make sure you stop by Everyday Cricut and their blogs to see their awesome creations!

Also Emma from My Creative Time is having her first Imagine challenge! Click here for all the details! Also Miss Cindy has an INCREDIBLE sneak peak of Emma's new release! You DON'T want to miss this release coming up next week! They are just AMAZING! I think that is for now.

Today I made a tag for this sweet, beautiful and couragous young lady that I have been blessed to have met just recently. I will be calling her Miss "H" . Her mother just happens to be my son's kindergarten teacher!  She has been dealt with with something NO child should ever have to deal with! With that said and keeping it some what private. Please pray for her, her family and her recovery. Thank You! My goal is to send her a card, tag or whatever every Monday with my son to school.

Miss "H" LOVES the color purple! So last week she got a card ~ this week I decided to do a tag. I used a tag I bought at Joann's and covered both sides with Core'dinations paper. Added some fun little details. I did not take a picture of the back because I wrote her a little note of encouragement. The pictures aren't that great because snow was starting to come...just wait and see!

This happened about 10 minutes after I took my picture! You can see some snow flakes on the second piture!

Throwback Thursday with My Creative Time ~ "CRICUTLESS" Challenge

Good morning! It is time for another My Creative Time Throwback Thursday Challenge. This week Emma has asked the design team and you to go "Old School"!  So that means NO CRICUTS or CAMEOS! Well I have stated many times before I LOVE to create with dies! Emma's are truly so fun to work with! You can use anything but the machines!

So for my card I kept it very plain and simple. I used Emma's Stitched {only} Circle to emboss my 5 circles. Then I used the little stitched circle from the Build A Banner Kit to cut out the centers of my circles. I adhered a piece of paper on the inside of my card. I used the Anyday Bingo & Crossword stamp set to make the word "HAPPY". I then masked of the word happy from one of my ALL time favorite set, Polka Dot "Surprise" , to just use the word "Birthday". Again I just LOVE the size of these stamps! I tied a bow around the bottom.

Very simple and quick card!

Material Used:
My Creative Time ~ Polka Dot Surprise ~ word "Birthday"
My Creative Time ~ Anyday Bingo & Crossword ~ Letters for the word "HAPPY"
My Creative Time ~ Stitched {only} Circle
My Creative Time ~ Build A Banner Kit ~ little cut out circles
Paper ~ Paper Trey Ink
Ribbon ~ Michael's
Ink Stazon
So head on over to My Creative Time for ALL the details and see what the other AMAZING designers have created! I am sure you won't be disappointed!
