My Creative Time December Sneak Peek Day #2

Hello welcome to My Creative Time December Sneak Peeks Day #2! All I have to say is your going to LOVE and I mean LOVE this release!! Emma once again did another BEAUTIFUL job! Her creativity and vision I just adore!!! This release isn't just PERFECT for Valentine's Day but so much more!!! I know I was so EXCITED to play with this release and totally fell in LOVE with it instantly!

For my project today I am featuring the stamp set "Chocolate Greetings". This set includes a coordinating chocolate die with a banner/flag! Of course it has signature stitching ~ LOVE that too! I think it is so ADORABLE. I decided to show you that it doesn't have to be for Valentine's Day. I plan on sending this in to Ryan's teacher the day he returns to school as a Thank You! She LOVES and ADORES her students. Even on Christmas break she has kept in touch with him ~ I adore her! So I used one of her favorite colors ~ blue and tried to make her card look like a present ~ since she has been our gift this year. I used some seam binding ribbon from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique ~ LOVE her stuff too! I used the sentiment "4 U Teacher" from this set along with the dies. Then my sweet DT sister Miss Cathryn gave me an idea ~ using the "Bubblegum Treat Box" with Acetate and stuffed some chocolates in it! I have to say this was a BRILLIANT idea ~ Thanks sweet friend! I again used the stitched chocolate die and used another sentiment from this stamp set! Seriously ~ so many possibilities!

Emma and the design team have been trying to help you with ideas on some Christmas gifts, cards, decoration ~ anything related to Christmas! We sure hope we helped! I personally would like to say THANK YOU for leaving me some wonderful comments! I have enjoyed this past 12 days from creating projects to being totally inspired! Okay I promise not to be too long here!

So for my project today I wanted to share an idea if you have children, grand children, nieces or nephews or even some friends! Hey fur babies too! Well the craze has been Elf on a Shelf and we are fortunate enough to have one in our home! My son named him "Elfie" ~ original right! LOL! He is just wonderful and magical (wink, wink). He stays all day then at night leaves and reports to the big man ~ Santa Claus!!! So I thought what am I really going to do with his letter my son wrote to Santa ~ I have done many different things in the past but this year I wanted to change things up a tad! Well since the mail is HORRIBLE this time of year ( okay lately it had been really) I am one who still writes checks and mails my bills ~ not all of them but some! So I thought why doesn't "Elfie" fly it to Santa one night! Well my son LOVED this idea! I know it is silly but I couldn't help myself!

I pulled out a few of Emma's stamps and dies and just started creating! I will list all the materials below! It is pretty simple and self explanatory but I LOVE how this turned out! I also have to tell you I am NOT used to taking pictures inside and boy was this tough for me!! About 80 pictures later here it is! I also have so many lights I can't tell you on this poor thing! But the funniest thing was after I uploaded them ~ it looked like "Elfie" was at a photo shoot! I just kept hitting the scroll button cracking myself up! Okay that is it for me today! Again Thank You for stopping by!

My Creative Time 12 Days of Christmas ~ Day # 11

Hello and welcome to My Creative Time's 12 Days of Christmas ~ Day #12! Emma and the design team have been busy creating the cutest and most creative Christmas ideas ~ don't you think??

HUGE GIVEAWAY ALERT!
Okay, since it's Christmas, Emma decided to give away TWELVE of her FAVORITE things to ONE LUCKY person! She will announce one of the prizes for each day in her video! ALSO, **VERY IMPORTANT** Please leave your contact information so we can contact you "IF" YOU are the lucky winner!

Today I have a "JOY" block ornament for you today! I bought these wooden blocks at a local crafting store. I didn't realize they were hollow when I bought them but you know what I am so happy they were hollow! I had my husband drill holes through them. Then I painted them with some white Krylon paint. I then used the Tim Holtz clear distress crackle paint. I then used my Stampin Up punches to punch out my squares. I had no idea they would work out so perfectly for my project ~ just lucked out! I then used the "Lowercase Fun Dies"  Emma just release! Again who knew these would fit so PERFECTLY!! I then took my FAVORITE ribbon EVER from Stampin Up ~ so sad they discontinued it but so HAPPY I bought a lot of it! Anyway I taped the end that I was going to string through the block and used a metal skewer to help push it through. I knotted it at every level so it doesn't slide to much. I must admit I did not Modge Podge this yet ~ time was not on my side when I first made this and I have YET to do it! It is already on my tree!~ LOL But I do plan on it! Simple right?? Okay that is it for me today! Head on over to Emma's blog and check out all the inspiration!

If your wondering what that stick thing is on the top left of my photo ~ that is a tree up near are garden! It NEVER grows! We planted it about 12 years ago! LOL! Slooow growing! If I knew how to crop things out of a picture I TOTALLY would have!

So for today's project I found this little pail at Hobby Lobby. I was in New Jersey visiting my sister over Thanksgiving and she has one really close to her. I have never been to a Hobby Lobby before ~ lets just say I was in there for awhile but only spent a little! Anyway I saw this Santa pail with the leopard or cheetah print! OMG I thought~ I needed to get it! I thought it would PERFECT with one of Emma's stamps. I have wanted to this particular  stamp FOREVER! See this pail is for ALL THE WOMEN out there who run around making EVERY single holiday special for their families. From working, to doing laundry, cleaning, baking, buying of the gifts, to wrapping of the gifts ~ oh lets throw in more everyday life ~ homework, children activities ~ well you get the idea! See we ARE "Santa's right hand woman!". So I thought this would be a fun way to use this stamp and maybe give this to a girlfriend, Mom, aunt or even yourself! When your out this holiday season running around like a mad person ~ look around ~ the woman look the most exhausted! LOL ~ I so wish I was kidding!! Okay that is it for me today and I will be back tomorrow with a little Christmas decoration!

MCT 12 Days OF Christmas Day #7

Good morning and welcome to My Creative Time 12 Days of Christmas. Well Emma and the MCT design team have been really busy trying to come up with some AWESOME ideas for cards, gift ideas, treat ideas and even layouts! I hope you all have been enjoying seeing all this creativity! I know I have and my head is still spinning from all the AMAZING ideas!

So for today's project I decided to do a home decor project. I got this glass block at Michael's for 50% off ~ so about $6. Then I found these ADORABLE silver jingle bells at Joann's for $3.99. I used 1 1/2 containers of these ( they came in containers). The red and green jingle bells are from Target YEARS ago! I bought them in their gift wrapping section after Christmas! My Mom, sister and I bought stuff for like 70% off! The ribbon is from Micheal's with a 50% of coupon ~ so around $3.00. I laid the block on the side I wanted to show, place my jingle bells and then stuffed white lights behind them ~ Easy right??? The lights I have had for years and never used! About 20 lights or so! Of course these were on sale too at Target ~ I will say I paid around $5 for them! So around $20 dollars you can have this for your house or give as a gift to someone! After placing the bow around the block it sort of looked like a present! I of course couldn't resist using the CUTE little jingle bell ornament die and the new stitched label die! I will list and link ALL my MCT products below. Well that is it for me today ~ I hope you enjoy this fun and rather quick idea!! Have a WONDERFUL weekend!

NOTE: I am trying my hardest to get a picture that looks decent enough to show you how it looks with the light on! PLEASE check back later!! Thank You Margie for reminding me! Hugs to you!!

Okay her is the BEST picture I could get of it lit up ~ so hard to capture it ~ sorry for the horrible pictures! Note ~ you may want to add more lights too if you want it really bright! That may happen here but it is so hard to get any more lights in it! PLUS ~ I would not keep this on too long ~ or CHECK it! The stopper thing at the bottom is rubber. So see if it gets hot after being on for awhile! I am doing that as we speak! Okay have a WONDERFUL weekend eveyone!

MCT 12 Days Of Christmas ~ Day # 6

Well today marks the half way point of My Creative Time 12 Days of Christmas with Emma and the design team!  If you want to see some inspiration head on over and you won't be disappointed! There are endless Christmas ideas for gifts, home decor, cards and so much more!

Today is a really SIMPLE and inexpensive project! I bought this ceramic ornament on sale at Joann's or Micheal's a few years back! I am sure if it wasn't 50% off it was more!  I used Stazon Ink for my image and sentiment! My fellow design team member and friend Ruthie did an AWESOME video tutorial stamping on acetate! Click here to watch. In her video she stamped on acetate ~ I thought I wonder if I could stamp on ceramic! So I tried it! Let me say I don't have the steadiest hands but no worries if you don't like it quickly wipe it off with a baby wipe or wet paper towel. But say after a day you decide you don't like it  ( NOTE: this happened to me) no worries you can take it off! I am fortunate enough to have a wonderful sister~in~law who does ( BEAUTIFUL) nails. She gave me this alcohol, awhile back, and I thought I have nothing to loose! So I dabbed some of this alcohol on a paper towel and guess what ~ it came off! No scrubbing or elbow grease needed! Thanks Chell! The ornament looked brand spanking new! So I just re stamped my image and sentiment! I added some GORGEOUS seam ribbon and a beautiful button that I purchased from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique ~ ( LOVE her store) and called it a day! Simple right and very inexpensive! I am sure if you gave this a try you would come up with something wonderful!! Okay that's it for today! I will be back tomorrow with a fun home decor project!

MCT 12 Days of Christmas Day # 3

Good morning and welcome to My Creative Time's 12 Days of Christmas! Emma and the design team have been VERY busy creating ideas TOTALLY related to Christmas! You will see card, treats, gift ideas, layouts, and home decor inspiration!!! I honestly have been blown away these past few days!!

HUGE GIVEAWAY ALERT!

Okay, since it's Christmas, Emma decided to give away TWELVE of her FAVORITE things to ONE LUCKY person! She will announce one of the prizes for each day in her video! So by the 12th day, you will see ALL 12 items that ONE lucky person will be receiving! All you have to do is leave your comments each day! It's that simple! ALSO, **VERY IMPORTANT** Please leave your contact information so we can contact you "IF" YOU are the lucky winner!

So for my project today I decided to make doggie ornaments! We personally don't have a dog and I have NEVER given them gifts! But this past year we have had 4 new little fur babies join other family members! We also have 2 other big dogs~ with in the family that have been with us for some time! They did not get ornaments because my fear is they would totally go after the Christmas tree at their home and oh boy my SIL would NOT be to happy with me! ( Your welcome SIL ~ LOL) So the big dogs get the cute little bag of bones and the newbies and tiny critters get the ornament!

So you just buy some bones ~ modge podge them and let them dry! In the mean time I pulled out some of my My Creative Time dies and just went to town! I know I have said this before but really look at your die(s) and think what else can I use this for! When we received our ornament dies from the stamp set ~ " Warm Holiday Fun" I knew exactly what I could use them for ~ reindeer or dog ears! So I grabbed my PTI felt ( BEST felt ever ~ IMO) and ran the die and felt through my Big Shot! To make the ears sturdy I also did some chip board too! Glued everything together and hot glued them on the back of the bone! I also was able to staple the ribbon on the back of the bone even with out cracking it! Yeah me! I will list the rest of my material used below the pictures.
