Peachy Challenge 01:: Pockets

I have to say this was a VERY fun challenge to work one! I really started with a different project but nixed it at the last minute and decided to create this one! I am barely making the deadline but I am so glad I get to play along! I made this for one of my friends, who has been just so sweet to me throughout our friendship. I have a LOVE for dies ~ so my card was created with dies! My pictures do not capture the true colors or the glittery effect of the DCWV paper. I have rarely ever said this but I do LOVE how this turned out! If the sun EVER comes out, I will have to take a better picture!

Materials used:

Peachy Keen CC-PK Funny Flowers
MCT Teeny Tag Greetings w/ die
Sizzix Die Ornate Tri-fold
Paper Trey Ink ~ Rick Rack Border Die
Paper used : Paper Trey Ink, My Mind's Eye, DCWV The Playtime Stack

Extras:
Paper Trey Ink ~ ribbon
The Twinery ~ twine
Recollection Rhinestones, Tim Holtz ink and lollipop stick (" unused "~ I thought you all would get a kick out of that!)

One more thing ~ I have seen so many super talented and creative crafters out there use this DCWV paper pack. So of course I went out last year to buy it. When I first brought it home ~ I thought to myself ~ it's okay, and never thought about it again! Well ~ can I just tell you WOW! I LOVE it! Thank You all for showing me the way!

I hope you enjoy!

My Heart Is With You Card

I wanted to share a card I made for my husband. He travels for his job at times. My son and I miss him terribly. I try to send a note with him, telling him how much I appreciate his hard work. He does not like to travel and be away from us. Okay crafty friends you might want to sit down for this  but I usually grab a piece of paper from the printer or write the note on an index card! Yes ~ I know that sounds horrible but I never seem to be prepared. So this year one of my goals is to have a stash of cards for him, already to slip in his briefcase!  This card is simple but to the point! I hope you enjoy!

I love my Cricut and Imagine but I am a die girl! I die cut 3 hearts, one red, one black and one white. From the picture you can't see the black one but it is there.I then heat embossed the hearts ( LOVE how this stamp heat embosses), then folded and adhered them together. I added some twine and done! Simple and sweet!

For my card I used;

My Creative Time ~ Stitched Heart Die, 100% Sweetness and Small Talk stamp sets
Paper ~ Papertrey Ink
Zing Embossing powder
Twine ~ The Twinery
Stampin Up ~ Real Red
Memento Ink

Sports Card!

Hello fellow crafters! Emma, over at My Creative Time For Me, is having a sports challenge, click here for details. This couldn't have come at a more perfect time. My Brother-law LOVES the Pittsburgh Steeler's and his Birthday is in a few weeks. So I thought I would play along....

 I love to take my pictures outside, even in the winter, but today the weather here is very cold and VERY, VERY windy! So My poor card kept falling over! UGH! So this is the best pictures out of about 30. As you can see, my poor card took a little beating from the wind!

For my card I used;

Sports Mania cartridge ~ helmet 5inches
Plantin Schoolbook ~ ???? I cut so many different letters and sizes...
Accent Essentials ~ diamond 1 inch
My Creative Time stamp set ~ Wow! So Many Candles
SU Paper, SU Hodgepodge hardware, PTI paper, MS glitter, Utee and tulle from Michael's!

I hope you enjoy and Thank You for stopping by!
