Peachy Challenge 28:: Anything Goes

I just wanted to share a card I made for this weeks Peachy Keen Challenge ~ Anything Goes!  I decided to pull out the stamp Natalee. I have had this stamp for some time now and again, have never used it! Surprise right! Not really! So fun to discover what you have and have not used! So my new mission is to use items I have not used before ~ EVER! She is so CUTE ~ how could I not have used her!
Well I colored her with my Copics. I paper pieced the pot and inked it up just a tad. I wrapped some hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique around the pot before I glued it down. I decided I wanted  to use some Spellbinders and one of ( okay I LOVE them ALL) my FAVORITE  My Creative Time stamp set Teeny Tags Greeting set. I stamped my sentiment and then used my Tim Holtz fragments to add a little more interest.  Some tiny grass, a little bow and viola ~ simple and quick card to send to a friend!

Thank You Card!

Today I have a REALLY easy and fun card for you! I have been playing around with embossing folders again ~ seems to be my new addiction! So I took the Ranger alcohol ink card stock, the Happy Birthday embossing folder, the Tim Holtz new ink ~ Peacock Feathers and had a little fun! Oh my this may not be the way Tim does his but I LOVE how mine turned out! Not sure if the pictures captures it but it is really COOL, slightly messy and FUNKY looking! I distressed the white card stock just a tad! I just wanted to add something really simple to it so I pulled out the stamp and die from My Creative Time .  It was just the PERFECT size to use! Again a little white ribbon, this stamp & die and a simple little Thank You stamp ~ Voila ~ DONE! I am so LOVING simple!!!

Baseball Themed Gift Card Holder

Good morning ~ today I wanted to share a birthday gift card holder I made for my son's friends birthday! They played Tee~ball together this season. So his parents wanted to do a baseball themed party! Well I really didn't want to ask the Mom what he needed ~ she probably would have said clothes! Moms are the practical ones. The birthday boy would have NOT liked that at ALL!!!  If I would have asked the birthday boy himself, it would have cost me a great deal more ~ never want to disappoint them! So I thought gift card! Well Emma over at My Creative Time has the BEST solution to that ~ she has this AWESOME Embossed Gift Card Holder die! Perfect for not just birthdays but so many other wonderful occasions! I also thought I would , SIT DOWN FOR THIS ONE, pull out the Cricut! Yes ~ it has been awhile since I used it! Actually had to dust that baby off! I wanted to put everything I could on it about baseball! So after many cuts and may I say that baseball was cut out numerous times! This was the best one ~ sure don't like those small cuts from the Cricut but it is what it is! I am certainly not investing in another machine at this point. I added a MCT sentiments and some ribbon ~ done! I know he liked it because we just gave it to him over the past weekend!

Thinking Of You...

Good morning! I hope all is well with you all! I just wanted to share with you a card I made using My Creative Time stamp and dies! I wanted to create something very clean.I have seen this technique so many times but have NEVER tried it! I really like the effect it gives. So you just take an embossing folder and ink it up! Then run it thru your Cuttlebug or Big Shot.  As much as I wanted to ink the edges ~ I did not (only on my roses did I ink) ~ beleive me I really wanted too!  I decide I wanted to use my XL label Die but cut that in half to put on the MCT  "Thinking Of You" sentiment! I am ALWAYS amazed how Emma's stamps and dies work so PERFECTLY together! I couldn't resist adding the roses ~ these are so simple to make. That is it for today! Another very quick post ~ I am so excited for quick posts!

My Creative Time Guest Designer ~ Rocket Ship

Happy Thursday everyone ~ it's Kim from Scrapin Mom Of One Inspiring Little Boy filling in for Emma while she continues to take care of her family! Sounds like Aaron is still heading in the right direction ~ so continue to pray that Emma and her family can put this ALL behind them real soon!

Starting tomorrow Emma is going to have a "Customer Appreciation Sale"! Yes ~ I said SALE! Save 20% with coupon code:: THANKU! This weekend only! Friday July 20, 2012 ~ July 22, 2012!

I hope to show you all how versatile Emma's products can be used. So for today's card I just had to share with you my rocket ship I created with the My Creative Time June Stamp release (click here) and some other MCT dies. It is VERY unconventional but I just had this vision when I first saw the hot air balloon! During the release some of the hot air balloons that my fellow design team members created ~ whether it was  the paper they used or how they paper pieced ~ I could see this rocket ship! So I got this CRAZY idea to create one! So I stamped the hot air balloon image on this shiny silver paper. I cut out the middle section of the balloon including the the strings to the basket. Then I looked at my Pocket dies and thought those could be the wings ~ I used two of them. The banner dies could be the flames. But then I was a little stumped for the little window part until I realized the stitched circle die from the Build A Banner Kit would fit PERFECTLY! I know you are all thinking I am out there with this but I think it turned out rather CUTE! My son LOVED it! I tried to make this as masculine as I could minus the bling for stars. I am sending this to my sister's boyfriend who just had an AMAZING opportunity to work with a very well known company! I just want him to know "Reach for the sky ~ The sky is the limit!"

Have a GREAT day!

Peachy Keen Challenge 26:: Gift Bags

Well good morning! This week Peachy Keen Stamps is having a fun challenge ~ its all about gift bags! Well my BFF daughters have a special gift for someone and asked if I could make them something to put their gift in! What PERFECT timing! Well of course I said YES! Their ONLY request was to make it PURPLE ~ their friend LOVES the color PURPLE! ! Well we ALL know how much I LOVE purple ~ NOT ~ but whatever these girls want ~ I shall do! I decided to do a flower ~ what girl doesn't LOVE flowers??

Well this is one of my favorite flowers PKS has! I use it a great deal but try to put a different spin on it every time I use it! This time I cut the petal base out 2 times in different shades of purple! The top layer I decided to bend the petals and some twine for the veins of the flower. I also added some twine around the adorable face but I wanted the face to pop a great deal! I didn't want to use a zillion pop dots. Well I have been re-organizing my craft space this past weekend and low and behold I found about 15 ATG empty plastic tape holders. Why I was saving them who really knows but boy what a GREAT way to add dimension! It worked PERFECTLY for the center of my flower face! I even cut out that CUTE little butterfly that comes with this die set. Used some Spellbinders ~ LOVE those things too. For the top of my bag I added the ribbon all around the bag then added some twine at the bottom ~ just to add a little more detail. Nothing would be complete with out a big bow! Again ~ I LOVE my big bows too! So hopefully the girls and their friend will LOVE this little bag. Friday's post will be the gift tag.

Sorry the bag is lying down for the picture! It is so hot here today with a very hot BREEZE! So the poor bag keeps falling over!

A Miss You Card

Hello ~ today I have a real quick card I made for my son! He went out of town with my husband today! I just wanted to let him know his Mommy is ALREADY missing him! I have a stack of unfinished projects! My goal is to pick through them and create cards ~ simple and quick from this stack! So when Emma from My Creative Time had her last release I starting playing around with this ADORABLE image of this little boy and the balloons. I colored it with my Copics. Then for some reason started another project with out using it! So as I was rooting through my stack ~ I found this and the picket fence and thought this would be PERFECT for a quick card. So I put it in my husbands briefcase so he can give it to him later. My son LOVES balloons and so many sentiments of Emma's fit amazingly on the new cloud dies! LOVE these dies!!!  So today I am a little sad but so happy he gets to have an adventure with his Daddy! The picture really isn't capturing the colors that well but my lighting issues continue... I really need to work on something better soon!!!!

Get Well and Best Little Brother Cards

Happy Thursday! One more day until the weekend! YEAH!!! I just wanted to share some cards I made for Emma's ( My Creative Time) boys  Aaron and Anthony! I couldn't let Anthony not get a card! It is so hard on siblings when their brother or sister is sick ~ plus before or during all this he hurt his hand!!

The boys LOVE their baseball! They had an AMAZING season! So it didn't take me long to figure out what I wanted to make but it did take me a long time on making it! I know the cards aren't complex but Cricut doesn't have the layering I needed or wanted for their baseball caps! I looked for a full day on the cut I liked the best! I know CRAZY right! Then almost another day to actually go through ALL the fonts! Again ~ CRAZY me! But I really wanted to get as close to their baseball caps as possible! So after all that I actually ~ sit down for this one ~ pulled out that Gypsy. I seem to have a LOVE ~ HATE relationship with! I actually welded too! I even used that button (not sure what it is called) to slant the "A". I know some of you Gypsy Professors out there are laughing up a storm by my technical terms here!!! LOL. I did add the new banner dies to the caps. With all that said the end product didn't turn out to bad! Hey as long it put a smile on their faces that is all that matters to me!

The pictures aren't that great ~ sorry about that!

Welcome Sweet Baby Card

Good morning! Today my card is for a sweet friend, Glora, from Glora's Crafts. She and her family welcomed a baby boy a few weeks ago. I knew it was going to be a boy and made this during release week but waited to post this card until they had the baby. I couldn't help but use Emma's, from My Creative Time new release. I LOVE this release!!! Her stamps and dies were just perfect for this card!  So funny that I am posting this today because Glora is filling in for Emma today!

As you can see the clouds, plane and banner are ALL from the My Creative Time June release. I wanted to make my clouds look a little whimsy, so I just placed them randomly. They remind me of Cumulus clouds . I also decided not to make all of my clouds white  ~ so I made some of them off white. For my little plane I knew I wanted to add a propeller so I took a brad and glued it to the front. My little windows I just paper pieced them in white to add a little dimension. I also added some hemp from my plane to the banner! The sentiment is from "All Star Baby" stamp set. I pop dotted the banner too for more dimension. I added this ribbon I saw from my local craft store ~ I knew it would be perfect for this release and card. Simple and easy but CUTE to welcome a baby Beardall!

Peachy Keen Challenge 25:: Chalk It Up!

Happy Monday everyone! Okay so I LOVE challenges for so many different reason but have you checked out this weeks challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps??? Well if you haven't they are having a challenge using chalk! Yes ~ chalk! Well I have NEVER used chalk before to color ~ except for cheeks! So I found this not only challenging  (which I LOVE being challenged) but so fun!
So I decided to use the large flower stamp called Ginger! What an ADORABLE image! So I pulled out my chalk ~ the only colors ever used were the pinks. Thank goodness I had extra chalk applicators ~ why I had them ~ who really knows but so grateful I did! I did start off using all the light colors first then moved in with the darker colors. After I got done with the petals I thought I want it to stand out a little more. So I used my Stampin Up blender pen. You can dab this in the chalk then lightly apply it to your image! I think the blue stands out just a touch better after doing so! I did use my red jelly pen for the mouth and nose! The chalk just didn't show up enough. My leaves I just LOVE! I used 3 different color greens! I don't know who came up with this challenge but this was sooooo fun to do ~ THANK YOU!!!!

Happy Sunday crafty friends! I hope you all had a chance to check out the July Release over at Peachy Keen Stamps! They are just so darn INCREDIBLE! Eeek! So anyway I just made a real quick and simple card. I seem to be using a ton of Spellbinders lately but I can't help myself! I just LOVE how they layer! I used this cute little Potted Flower Die. I popped the flower up, curled the top layer of petals to add some dimension. I used the Cloudy Day Background stamp for my sky. This is a MUST have stamp! For my grass I decided to use my Martha Stewart scissors and MS micro beads for the soil. The sentiment is from My Creative Time  "Bloom Where You Are Planted" stamp set.

Happy Birthday America! Today I will be filling in while Emma takes care of her family! Emma has ALWAYS told all of her design team and all of you ~ "Family ALWAYS comes first!" Well she is ABSOLUTELY right! So during this time the design team and some other wonderful crafters are going to take care of her! Peachy Keen Challenge 24:: Color Inspiration

Happy Monday morning! I had a little time this weekend to make a quick and simple card for the Peachy Keen Challenge. This week the design team has asked up to follow the picture to be inspried by the colors in it! Well let me just say the colors are so bright, cheerful and reminds me of Summer!

I decided that I need to pull out my Peachy Keen Cottage "Bugs" Die out! What an ADORABLE die! These bugs are so CUTE!!! So I really wanted to focus on the white and green in the color inpiration photo with hints of ALL the other colors. To give my bug a little dimension I layered the wings and pop dotted them! I also wanted her bottom wings to pop a little too, so I rolled the second layer just a tad! I added a few cheeks, some twine, the bow ( LOVE this ribbon) and the My Creative Time sentiment "Flying by to say..." .  I think that sentiment works PERFECTLY with these dies! See super simple but CUTE!!!
