MCT ~ Inspire Me Tuesday

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Today Emma from My Creative Time and the design team will be sharing something new with you all. It's called "Inspire Me Tuesday". This is when we get to create something that we were inspired by. It can be a person, a thing, song, commercial.. anything at all. Sounds pretty neat, right?

Today my inspiration today is the four Clematis plants around my home. The Clematis is a climbing vine that produces the most BEAUTIFUL flowers! I have three of them growing on lattices and one around my light post. They come in many different colors and varieties. My favorite are called the Jackmanii. My pictures do not reflex how deep purple petals but boy do I adore them!

MCT ~ 3D Wednesday

Happy Wednesday! Can I just say we have been non stop since last Thursday! That was my son's last day of school and we have been enjoying his Summer! WOW! If this is how summer is going to be, lets just say, I will be exhausted! But the best part is he is enjoying his summer already!

Since it is Wednesday, we all know what that means, right? It's 3~D Wednesday over at My Creative Time with Emma and the design team! This is one of my FAVORITE days! I LOVE creating 3D projects!

Today we were asked to create something using Red, White and Blue color scheme! Well I LOVE the country we live in and our colors! I love a vintage look using this color scheme but chose to go more vibrant this time around. Note to self, I will have a better Navy blue ink the next time, I am a little fussy about my blues. My idea today was to create a cheap, easy and fun center piece for your tables if you were having a picnic! The ribbon, bucket, sparklers and fabric were all on clearance last year. Now you are probably thinking were is the fabric?? Most of my MCT die cuts I used are fabric. Just add some fabric stiffener to your fabric and Emma's dies cut out BEAUTIFULLY! I learned this off of Emma ~ thanks for such a wonderful idea. The rest of my materials I used I will list below the picture!

Thinking of You Card

Happy Friday! Today is the first day of Summer vacation for my son, so I am making this post really short. We have lots of activities, short trips and fun that needs to start happening!

Today I want to share a card that I made using My Creative Time's "Stitched Journal Die".  I LOVE the fact that this die can be used for Project Life, for cards and so many other projects. It always amazing me how Emma's products are so versatile and work beautifully together not to mention her signature stitching!
So awhile back I bought this paper from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique and had yet to use it. It isn't normally colors I tend to work with but boy do I love this paper pad! I will list all the materials I used for this card below the picture! See I told you this post would be short! LOL

MCT Designer Challenge

Good morning! I hope you all are having a wonderful week! I know we have here with all the beautiful weather. So with all that said, today is a "new" Designer Challenge over at My Creative Time! This challenge is hosted by the very talented Miss Leanne. She is having a "sketch" challenge. You can hop on over to Emma's blog for all the details and to see all the other awesome creations.

So for my card I needed to come up with a very quick and easy card for my son's teachers. Today is his last day of 1st grade. He did such an amazing job this year and we are so proud of him! Way to go Ryan! Any way his teacher this year was just incredible, actually his school is filled with amazing teachers. So I wanted to thank her and a few others who love my son, along with all the other students at his school, with a card. As I am typing this, let me say this is going to be a long night because I haven't finished them yet! YIKES! LOL

Here are a few little details about my card. As you all probably know chalkboards are almost extinct. His class uses smart boards and I Pads. Go figure! But I thought Emma's "Stitched "Capture" Frame with Arrow Die" would make the cutest chalkboard! I did heat emboss my sentiments and tried to smudge a little white ink on the chalkboard paper. I must practice this technique. I rolled a piece of white paper for chalk. Then as I was looking at it I thought I needed to break up the background paper but with what! Well the "Stitched Journal Die" was the PERFECT choice. I just ADORE these 2 dies especially together! The embossing on them are by far superb!

See simple, quick and so easy to mass produce in no time! Alright head on over to see everyone else creations ~ I am sure you will LOVE them!

Materials Used:

"My Teacher Rocks" ~ sentiments

MCT ~ Scrapping The Little Things

Good morning! Well we all know that Mondays can be a little tough but not over at My Creative Time because it's Scrapping The Little Things. This is when Emma and the design team get to get caught up on out Project Life, Smash books or our layouts! I know I say this all the time but I am so happy Emma has started this because it truly helps me do more pages for Ryan's scrapbook.

So with all that said lets get right to it! Today I chose to scrap my son's first hair cut. I wanted to make this super simple, base my colors off the romper he was wearing and add as little as I could ~ well little to me but probably a great deal to all you CAS pros out there! LOL! I tend to add everything but the kitchen sink to all my projects ~ not sure why??

I will list all the details  below the picture as usual but wanted to say my sweet friend Katie. She gave me the idea of using the stitched circle die from the "Build A Banner Kit" stamp set. Thank You Katie! I can see me using this a great deal more too! The tone on tone circles just add so much to a plain piece of paper. Then my new LOVE ~ Washi tape! EEK ~ no one EVER told me how fun this stuff is!

That is all for me today but head on over to My Creative Time to see what the design team has in store for you all! Sorry for the horrible picture but either the sun was FULL force here or none at all! Let alone this poor page went through the yard a few times from the wind!!!
