My Creative Time ~ Thoughtful Thursday

Happy Thursday! Well today Emma and the My Creative Time  design team have some wonderful "thoughtful" cards and projects for you! It can be a thoughtful message, thank you, get well ,a congratulations or whatever ~ as long as it is for someone you are thinking about!

Today I have decided to make mine a "Congratulations Baby" card! I have a friend who just had a baby boy come into her life and she is over the moon about him! I wanted to keep this clean and simple! Just using baby blue and white with a hint of color. I heat embossed my little bear on the card stock, the heart, my little tag and my pattern paper. Let me say this was NO easy task. Trying to get the layers down perfect almost pushed me over the edge. I finally, after many attempts, was pleased with the final out come. All of my sentiments and dies are from My Creative Time ~ which I will list below the picture. After yesterdays long post I will spare you all today! LOL!

The pictures seriously don't do the card justice! I LOVE this card in person!

Materials Used:

My Creative Time ~ 3~D Wednesday

Good morning! Welcome to My Creative Time ~ 3~D Wednesday! This has to be one of my FAVORITE days! I just LoVe making 3~D items! They come in handy for so many wonderful occasions! Emma has the CUTEST and BEST dies out there for this too!

I seriously did NOT realize how FAST Easter is approaching us! WOW! I honestly don't care for it being this early because I feel there isn't enough nice weather here in PA for it! We just have had yet another blast of snow too! YUCK!

With all this said I needed to come up with some quick and fast ideas for my son's Easter basket. The Easter bunny still brings him stuff but I also like to put a few things in from my his parents! Emma has so many fun treat dies that are very quick & easy to assemble. I knew they would be PERFECT for just this! I will list under each picture the materials used ~ WARNING ~ PICTURE heavy!

All my treats together! Sorry these are lying down but this was taken the day before our last snow and it was so windy here! Poor little things kept blowing everywhere! LOL!

Who knew a pack of Bubble Yum gum fits perfectly in the "Treat Slider Box" ! This is a "PRE~ORDER" item. I used the wrapper dies for my sentiment! Another GREAT reason to get this die! My sentiment and image come from the stamp set "Happy Hunting" . The bunny image fits so great on the "Just Tags" dies too! My ribbon is from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique . The paper is EP ~ Hello Summer. My ink is Stampin Up ~ clear embossed.

For this little project I used the "Stitched Lollipop Holder" . I decided to put the "Stitched & Scalloped Circle" at the bottom of this because I wanted to use ribbon from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique to tie my lollipop ~ plus it goes with papers. My sentiment is from the stamp set "Happy Hunting" and the cute little bunny is from "Hello Spring" . I did clear emboss both of them. My paper is from EP ~ Hello Summer. Ink is Archival.

Okay this little treat might be my favorite one ~ because of the colors and dies ~love the egg and bunny dies so much! I used the "Bubblegum Treat Box" . I put foil wrapped eggs in this one for my son! The eggs and egg design( circles) are from the stamp set "Hello Spring" . The sentiment and bunny is from "To My Best Peep" . I actually used white paper for the die cut bunny and inked it up with Archival ink. My ribbon is from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique . The paper is EP ~ Hello Summer.  Clear heat embossed these too.

Now this one might be my FAVORITE because I LOVE the little details! I decided to used the "Bubble Gum Treat Box" again but with a twist. I die cut the whole thing out in orange paper then die cut the top portion of it in green! Does it look like a carrot?? I just adhered the green paper to the orange paper at the top. Then I took my Martha Stewart fence punch that had bats on it ~ snipped those babies right off. My bunny and sentiment is from "To My Best Peep" . I made my sign using the "Chunky Jar Accessories" and a stick lying around my craft space. I used UTEE for my bunny and again clear embossed my sentiment. The jute, burlap and bunny tail is from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique. My paper again is EP ~ Hello Summer.

Well that is it for me today! I know that was a very long post ~ sorry but wanted to make sure you got all the details. Now head on over to Emma's blog and see what she and the rest of the creative design team has in store for you all!

Also don't forget the Designer Challenge is still going on too! Click here for all the details. I will be back tomorrow for "Thoughtful Thursday"!

Peachy Keen Challenge 13:2 ~ Sketch Challenge

Good morning! This week Peachy Keen is having a sketch challenge. All you have to do is follow the sketch ~ easy right! This post is going to have to be very brief ~ the stomach virus has attacked my men ~ big and little ~ so I seem to being runny around catering to their needs!

So I decided to pull out the stamp set "PK ~ 264 Easter Egg Words and Bunnies" . There are so many CUTE images on this stamp set. So I colored the image with my Copics and added some stickles to my little egg. I pulled out my Spellbinders to attach my image on, then added some bling from Kaiser Crafts. My little tags in the top left hand corner are from My Creative Time "Chocolate Greetings" stamp set. My sentiment is from My Creative Time "Happy Hunting" and the tag I used if from "Vintage Stitched Label Dies" . I did heat emboss my sentiment ~ I find that clear embossing gives such a crisp look that I like. My little flower is from "Rolled Flower Dies" . My ribbon is something from my stash and all my paper is from Paper Trey Ink.

I think that is all for today from me! I will be back tomorrow for 3~D Wednesday over at My Creative Time !

My Creative Time ~ Designer Challenge

Good morning! This is Kim here. I am so excited to be hosting this Designer Challenge for My Creative Time! Emma is so sweet to allow us DT's to take over her blog! Thanks Emma!

So for this time around I have decided to do a Tic~Tac~Toe Challenge! All you have to do is pick a row from the chart below (vertical, horizontal or diagonal) and incorporate those three items on your project! You are free to use anything in addition, just be sure the three items in the row you chose is included! I would also like to give a shout out & big thanks to Miss Shar ~ she made the chart in word for me!

So I looked at my choices from the chart and decided to do the first horizontal row. I of course used my FAVORITE dies (and stamps) out there ~ My Creative Time. They can be used for so many different projects, plus they have Emma's signature stitching!

I decided to dry and heat emboss on my card. I used a Cuttlebug folder for my dry emboss and inked it up with some chalk. Then I heat embossed the little house and wagon. The house is from the stamp set "Home Sewn" and my wagon is from "Piles Of Smile" . I decided to emboss the wheels & the handle in black and my wagon in brown. I know it is hard to see from the picture.  For my bling part I used the CUTE little heart button from "Stitched Button Dies" and added some glitter.

After I finished my card I realized I actually did the first horizontal row,  first vertical row and both ways of the diagonal rows! You do NOT have to do that but I tend to add everything but the kitchen sink to my cards. I just LOVE using my MCT products.

My pattern papers are from the Teresa Collins paper "Far and Away". I used some thin hemp for my heart /button.  These 2 items can be purchased at Liz's Paper Loft Boutique. The stitched hearts that are in my wagon from "100% Sweetness" . If you look real close, the gray heart has the "Script Background" stamp on it.  I used the "XL Label Die" and the "Stitched XL Label Die" as well. My sentiment is from "Home Sewn" and stamped on the  die from the "Chocolate Greeting" die. I wanted to layer that with the "Stitched Vintage Label Dies" ~ I just cut off the one end. They fit PERFECTLY together! As for my stitching I used the stitching stamp from the  "Gift Card Sentiments" .
I also used paper and ribbon from PTI.

A real fun and easy challenge for you to join in right? We would LOVE to see what you all create for this Designer Challenge ~ Tic~Tac~Toe! Now for rest of the creative and talented design team!

Peachy Keen Challenge ~ 13::11 Anything Goes

Good evening! I am running very behind this week and almost forgot to enter this weeks challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps!  This week it is anything goes! So since Easter is right around the corner I decided to make an Easter card. Something real simple and can be mass produced very quickly ~ well okay not quickly but simple!

I pulled out my FAVORITE Peachy background stamp ~ at the moment ~ "Lattice Background" to heat emboss my frame. Then I used a spellbinder to cut out my window. I then used the "Crunchin' Carrot Bunny" ~ he is so stinking CUTE! Colored very little with some Copics. I then decided to pop dot my frame so I could tie a little bow to the side! My sentiment and tag die is from My Creative Time's,  "To My Best Peep" and "Chunky Jar Accessories" .  All paper is from Paper Trey Ink and my ribbon is from May Arts.

See something really simple but can be easily mass produced! Sorry for the short post but I need to get my dinner dishes done! LOL! See you all back tomorrow for My Creative Time ~ Designer Challenge! I am hosting this time around ~ so excited!

My Creative Time ~ Thrify Thursday

Today is  "Thrifty Thursday" over at My Creative Time! This is where Emma and the design team use scraps or anything recycled. Well this is right up my alley! I have TONS and TONS of scrap pieces of paper! So sad how I can't seem to let one itty bitty piece of paper go! Anyway I thought this would be a PERFECT time to play along! Oh we must use the color GREEN! Easy right!

So I wanted to make a CAS card ~ not sure I TOTALLY achieved it but it works for me ~ LOL! I plan on giving this to my Mom ~ who I am very lucky to have and don't tell her often enough.  So I used Emma's new "Treat Slider Box" ~ this is a Pre~order item only. This die is worth purchasing because you can use the individual dies in so many different ways. I chose to use one of the wrappers as a label or tag for my sentiment. I also used the new stamp set "You're My Pot of Gold" with the shamrock die! This little guy is ADORABLE! I just LOVE that Emma's dies have her signature stitching on them too. I cut the shamrock out a few times and added some pop dots to give it a little dimension. I also decided to bling it up with my favorite Martha Stewart glitter. My ribbon is May arts ribbon and the ink is by Stampin Up. Unfortunately I didn't use to many of my scraps for this card because the card is so tiny but hey at least I used some of them right??

Don't forget to join us over at the Designer Challenge hosted by Miss Cathryn! Click here for all the details.

My Creative Time ~ 3~D Wednesday

Good morning! It's Wednesday and we all know what that means ~ not only halfway through the week but it's 3~D Wednesday over at My Creative Time with Emma and the design team! I just LOVE making 3~D projects! It is a GREAT way to put little gifts or treats for any occasion, a Thank You or just because!

For my project today I decided to dust off the Cricut! Yep ~ I couldn't resist doing this! I wanted to use Emma's new "Stitched Doily Die" in the worst way. I thought I can make this treat bag from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cartridge and Emma's doily would work perfectly with it!  I made the bag as big as I could ~ I like to stuff extra treats in bags. Unfortunately doing so sometimes cost me more but that's okay ~ as long as my recipients enjoy it! I just die cut out some MCT flowers, these ADORABLE butterflies. I decided to glitter these up with my favorite MS glitter! My leaves are from a SU punch and my squiggly things are from wire. Simple Right?? I have to say the sentiment I used is one of my favorite of ALL time that Emma has come out with! It is from the new "More of My Favorite Sayings" stamp set. It's such a true statement ~ my friend will agree too!

In keeping with shorter posts ~ I  just want to remind you all that the Designer Challenge is still going on. It's hosted by the very talented Miss Cathryn this time ~ just click here and get all the details! Peachy Keen Challenge 13~10 :: Photo Inspiration

Good evening! I just wanted to share my card I made for this weeks challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps. We were given a photo for inspiration. We could interpret the photo anyway we saw it. I was inspired by all the greens and the browns but what caught my eye was the hint of red and the white snow. The picture sort of remind me of our early spring here. One day you notice your perennials popping up from the ground then get 9~11 inches of snow! This just happened last week ~ my poor crocuses. I so need Spring to come! I am NOT complaining ~ some of you have been hammered with snow ~ I will keep my complaining to a bare minimum! LOL!

So with all that said I decided to pull out my PKS ~ "Potted Flower" dies. I just ADORE these little dies! They really do make me smile and anytime I get the opportunity to use them I do! I used two different greens for the leaves. I LOVE how Gerber daisies leaves are so big so I tried to imitate that look. My idea was to just show the process of nature ~ in a CUTE way. The white we will call my snow ~ LOL ~ the kind you don't have to shovel! I must admit I had this whole entire card put together and photographed and when I downloaded them something didn't seem right ~ it looked boring!  So I tore the whole card apart and started over. It was missing the "Lattice Background" stamp on the brown and Kraft card stock! I ended up heat embossing it it and that little face! I just LOVE to use a colored ink and clear embossing powder together! The look is pretty cool let alone the feel of it ~ IMO.

Well that is all I have for you tonight but I will be back tomorrow with my MCT 3~D Wednesday project. All other materials will be listed below! Thanks for always being so sweet and kind!

Peachy Keen Challenge 13::9 Just Cards:: Oh My stars

Good afternoon hope every one is having a wonderful day today! Last night the storm FINALLY hit us. Woke up to 9 to 11 inches of snow! No school for my little man and no work for me!! YEAH!! Thank goodness its melting fast ~ LOVE March snowfalls ~ they don't stay around long! Come on Spring ~ I need sunshine and warmth!

Anyhow after hanging out with my little man this morning I carved in some time to play along this weeks challenge over at Peachy Keen Challenge. I so miss playing along but family and work comes first. This week we were asked to just make cards and include stars on the card! So I looked through my PKS stash and came across the stamp set PKSC -08 August 2012 . This week I saw my son's teacher and another teacher ( she sees him sometimes at recess) and they both had the nicest compliments about him! I just ADORE his school and the awesome people/staff that treat our children with so much love! I couldn't let this go by without telling him congratulations on being such a good boy! We are very proud of him!

With all that said, I heat embossed the school house from this stamp set in the background. Used this CUTE little tablet paper stamp and a face for my star from this stamp set. All school related! My stars are from my stash ~ I seem to have a ton of things I seem to cut out but don't use ~ so using my scraps right now are what I am about. So I have no clue what cartridge these are from. But I do know that my little tiny stars are from Emma's, over at My Creative Time, new release. So are those ADORABLE scissors! I just paper pieced them so the handle was black and the actual sheers were shiny silver. I will list all materials below.

Well I am off to clean my work space up and now prepare my third and final meal for the day! UGH! So nice to have them home but I am constantly getting snacks and cleaning up dishes when he is home!

My Creative Time ~ Scrapping The Little Things

Happy Monday! Today is "Scrapping The Little Things" with Emma and the design team. This is were we create a Project Life, Smash Book or a scrapbook layout. Well since I am still working on my son's 12 x 12 scrap book, I chose to do a 12 x 12 page but try my best to make it smashy looking! LOL! You can check out all the design teams projects over at My Creative Time by clicking here! If you're a little behind we hope this inspires you to get caught up!

So for my layout I chose to do a picture of my son laying on his boppy pillow. He absolutely hated tummy time and this was the only way I could get him to be on his tummy. Emma's products are so fun and easy to add to layouts. I just LOVE using them ~ so much easier than dusting off that machine I own and fight with constantly1 LOL! I used my favorite DCWV paper pack EVER and some washi tape which let me say ~ I think I am going to have to get more of this stuff. I LOVE it! The rest of my products I will list below.
