Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge ~ Sketch Challenge 44 with a twist!

Well this week over at Peachy Keen Stamps they are having a challenge using the sketch provided and it must be monochromatic! Wow... Viv this was a good one! I made this card for my best friends daughter who is turning 13! She is having a black and white themed party so I wanted to coordinate her card for her special day! I was thrilled when it said we could use black or white.  I tried all different shades of black and even grey but it looked way to morbid, so I inked up the Kraft paper, that even has black specs in it!SO it isn't white for the birthday girl but cream should work for her card. I hope you enjoy!
I am trying to find the tutorial for this flower! I found it months and months ago.  This wonderful women needs credit!
I found it! Her name is Barb! She is amazing! Here is the link to the tutorial. Click here .
I am also entering this in the Frosted Design Fabulous Friday Challenge. They are having a monochromatic challenge also. Barb who did this awesome tutorial just happens to be the Friday Challenge Coordinator there. Divine Intervention??? Please go check out this blog! Thank You for stopping by~ hope you enjoy!

The Cuttlebug Spot ~ Children's Games

This weeks challenge is to make something inspired by children's games! Well I really thought about this one...forever! I had to go with a classic in the video game industry... Pacman and Ms. Pacman! I loved this game growing up! We didn't have it at our house though, my Dad said NO, but ever chance I got I played it at friends houses! Dear Dad would have been right... I would have never done home work , chores , see the out doors etc! Thanks Dad!
So I tried to find the colors in the game. I used spellbinders for my circles and my label. I used swiss dots folder to try and mimic the dots they had to eat. As  looked at them ... perfect card for someone who has been together forever... like them! Oops forgot... stamps from Emma...
Please don't mind the photo. I try to take my photos in natural light... outside... it is 16 degrees here, windy and still snow cover!
Hope you enjoy...

Throwback Thursday Challenge ~ Episode #157

Emma over at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ is having her Throwback Thursday Challenge using the cartridge Everyday Paper Doll or Paper Doll Dress Up. It MUST include dry or heat emboss. Well I decided to use Everyday Paper Doll. My son LOVES dump trucks ~ he actually request a card with one on a weeks ago! Of course I couldn't resist his request and since it is Valentine's Day just around the corner! I embossed with my cuttlebug diamond plate folder, try to make it look "manly" enough with all the hearts and glitter! I used a action wobble for the truck, he will get a kick out of that! Of course I had to use Emma's new stamps... if you haven't seen them... you must! They are just perfect in every way. I hope you enjoy!

Flaunt It Friday's Challenge #7

This week over at Flaunt it Fridays they are having a challenge that we have to use "SKULLS"! Just as long as it is NON-Halloween. love this challenge. This is my first time entering their challenge and this was fun for me! I pondered for so long on what to do and who to make this for that the challenge is almost over. Well late Sunday night I started by using my Pumpkin Carving Cartridge. I fell in love with the bones! I also decided to make this into a birthday card for the DH! His birthday is next week...so this is perfect for him. He even said last night that his body was aching! He is going to love it! I used some skull ribbon, sanded the edges, used
I used the Ranger Crackle Accents and Martha Stewart punch to make it look old just like him! I typed out the sentiment "NO BONES ABOUT IT...". I didn't put anything on the inside yet here are my ideas...
So on the front it would read; "NO Bones About It"... then on the inside it could be:
It's your birthday
or
Your Old
or
It's  a Celebration.
Which one do you like, if any, or if you have any other ideas I would love to hear them!
Hope you enjoy!

Whimsical Wednesday Challenge ~ Alice In Wonderland

Whimsical Wednesday is having a Alice In Wonderland Challenge. This will be my 1st challenge with Stephanie and Jess. Let me tell you, I LOVE to be challenged but I wasn't sure if I could even come up with an idea! I saw their projects and WOW! You need to go see theirs... unbelievable! Well I have only dabbled a little with coloring so that was definitely out! So I scanned the Internet to get inspired. I decided to do the March of the cards!
I used George Basic Shapes Cartridge for the  #3, hearts on the card and the shape of the card. The Hannah Montana Cartridge for the back ground heart. I used my Hearts Cuttlebug folder, some glitter and printed out the sentiment. See once I looked at it I realized it looked like a Valentine's Day card... so that is when I printed out the sentiment. Poor DH is just going to love ALL that glitter! Now that I am typing this my sentiment should have been "If You Play Your Cards Right..."  Anyway I hope you enjoy~ but please go check the awesome ladies out!

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Sketch Challenge #43

Good Morning~ Peachy Keen Stamps are having their first challenge of 2011. This week we have to follow a sketch! I love these kinds too! My card is made for my dear neighbor! She is like a 3rd Grandma to our son! My husband and her share the same birthday date ~ at the end of this month! So I decided to make her a 5.5 x 5.5 card! She LOVES the color purple. So I used the Cottage Cuts designed by PKS Fuzzy Spider. Now I didn't add the legs to them because since we have had some snow last night( 6 inches and counting), I sorta wanted them to be crazy but sweet  snowballs! Each snowball/spider represent her 3 children. I used the PKS Snow Cutie Faces! Most of the paper is from Papertrey Ink and the ribbon too. I again can't seem to get away from my new favorite shiny paper. Very hard to photograph and tried to stamp. Since that didn't work I pulled out my Zing embossing powder and it worked beautifully! NO SMEARS! Please don't mind the snow marks/ water marks on some of the pictures but it is very windy and like a white out here! I also can't get away from twine too! I hope you enjoy!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #41

Fantabulous Cricut, http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/search/label/Challenge%20Me%20Monday, is have a their first challenge of 2011. This week we have to incorporate snow or snow flakes into our project. Well I have been meaning to make a Thank You card for my husbands cousin. He lives across the road and he is always using his quad to clear our lane and driveway for us. We live about 300 feet of the road and then our driveway is wide and long! So he needs a card and a gift card for his time. I used the Joys of the Season cartridge for my snowflakes, Martha Stewart glitter to bling them up! I also used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge for mytag on the front, a  gift card holder inside the card,  Papertreyink stamp, some ribbon, and paper that is silver but looks like a mirror. I love this paper though try taking a picture of that and hiding. You will see once you see the pictures, the 2nd picture I put up my white card board to block me or the door out of it! Its a very simple card ~ hope you enjoy!

The Cuttlebug Spot ~ Inspiration

The Cuttlebug Spot, http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/, is having their 1st challenge of 2011. This week we get to pick a book that we have read and make a card. Well my book is by Nicholas Sparks ~ The Notebook. Who doesn't like a little romance! This book is about teenagers who fall in love and tells the tale of how TRUE LOVE is never smooth. Well this card is for my parents. My parents meant in high school, got married and had my sister and myself. The tale begins! They have been dealt a hand, for almost 18 years, that they never saw coming! Even though they never dreamed their lives to be this way, they always have the best attitudes and the perseverance to continue. Enough of the pity party for our family... onto the card! I wanted to make a simple card. I didn't want to make this look Valentinesish ( I know that really isn't a word... hehehe) but it sorta turned out that way! I used my spellbinders Classic Hearts and Classic Scalloped Rectangles. I hope you enjoy!

Peachy Keen Stamps. LFIF ~ Thank You Cards

Over at Peachy Keen Stamps, they have a "Lets Face It Fridays" Challenge. This is the very 1st one for 2011. The DT's over there are amazing! This week we have to do a "Thank You " card. Well this was perfect for me because I needed to make one for my sisters boyfriends MOM! That was a mouthful! She was gracious enough to buy my 5 year old a camera for Christmas. So I thought this idea was perfect. I used the PK Simple Sallies stamps. All paper and twine was from Papertrey Ink except the black shiny paper that I LOVE to use! It cuts fantastic with the Cricut! I think the sentiment "THANK YOU" is from Making Memories! So head on over to http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2011/01/lfif-challenge-thank-you-cards.html for this weeks challenge!
I hope you enjoy! By the way, I hate my real camera ~ it takes such horrible pictures! Lol

Throwback Thursday "Viewers Choice" Challenge Episode 151

After being gone for so long... I am back... for how long... only time will tell! I have had the craziest couple of months not including the holidays! Well it is good to be back, I just hope time allows me to do more challenges!
So this week Emma over at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ is having her 1st Throwback Thursday challenge of 2011. We can use any cartridge we would like as long as it has a heart on it. Well I chose George and Basic Shapes cartridge for my hearts. I put some Martha Stewart carrara glitter ( this glitter is actually shapes in cute little hearts) on the heart... I let that dry for at least for a day but some how I lost a few! The card stock, stamp and twine are all from Papertrey Ink. This card is for my 5 year old, he loves glitter! I does look better in person than from my camera.

I also would like to take the time to congratulate Emma for her new stamps she just released. The font it absolutely beautiful and totally different from ALL the rest! So Congrats Emma...
