It's time for another Throwback Thursday challenge with Emma over at My Creative Time. To play along you can use ANY older cartridge USING YOUR CRICUTS and make a project of your choice. This week I will be using the Anyday Bingo & Crossword stamp set. When Emma first came out with this set I knew I had to have it! My Mom LOVES to play Bingo! She isn't the normal bingo player ~ with the beehive hair or trolls and stuff. But she does have her little corks! Pictures and her favorite place to sit! She even dresses nice! Anyway this set was PERFECT for her Birthday card this year!
For my card I used 2 different older cartridges. My intention was to make an "OLD" style Bingo card, like when they used the wire basket. Today, apparently, they use computers! Who knew??? So I decided to manipulate a globe! Like I said ~ I tried my best. I actually don't think it looks too bad! I used the globe from Graphically Speaking; cut twice and layered it. Then I used the base of the globe from Cursive 101. I just paper pieced the cuts and flipped the globe part to make it my own invention! It actually pops up a little ~ to give it a 3D affect! For my bingo chips I used the Anyday Bingo & Crossword stamp set for the letters then used my Epiphany epoxy gadget to make them feel and look like actual bingo chips. For my bingo balls I used the All Around Birthday Time stamp set for the numbers of the bingo balls. I stamped the numbers on little wood circles from Michael's. They stamp so wonderfully on them! To add a personal touch ~ all the numbers are significant dates in our family. My bingo card is actually a card ~ so it opens. I would have taken pictures of it but I already wrote a special note to my Mom. I knew it would have been hard to write on the card because of the puffiness.
