Happy Halloween!!

Good morning and Happy Halloween! Before I go on I just want to say that I am thinking and praying for ALL those affected by hurricane Sandy. Watching the news coverage, hearing the stories and seeing the images just totally makes my heart so sad!! We were fortunate and so very grateful for no damage here.

Today is 3~D Wednesday over at My Creative Time ~ it's all about 3~D cards. So head on over and check out all the inspiration from Emma and the design team!

Okay I will try to make this post short & sweet with all materials listed below. I have been busy the past few days wickedly try to make some treats for my son's class and ALL the staff that helps with his education on a daily basis. I try to leave no one out that he sees ~ so not only the teachers, the administration but his bus driver and Mr. Jim, the custodian, gets a little treat!

So with all that said I decided to make sour cream containers. I wanted to use up some old Halloween paper packs from last year ~ I got on clearance! So I pulled them out and just cut away! I cut the papers at 7 x 6 3/4. I wanted them big so I can stuff them with little candy bars. All stamps and die are from My Creative Time! I did use some Stampin Up and Martha Stewart punches. Added a little stickles and ribbon from the dollar bin! Sorry for the poor quality pictures but I was snapping them at 2 something in the morning!! Not like waiting to the last minute!!!

These treats are for the adults, some family and friends.

These are for my son's friends at school! I didn't go to crazy with these ~ kids only want the candy!! LOL!

I am in charge the class craft for his rooms party! So I cut out ghosts with my Cricut! Yes ~ I used the Cricut! Hey it was already dusted off from last week! These are the samples I will show the kids of what I had in mind but they can do what they want with them!

They only have about 10 to 15 minutes to do their little craft, so I had to have everything prepped and ready to go! I did cut out over 200 bows just in case they want to go bow crazy. Obviously the middle one is a sample for the boys. I will have them draw a mouth on them if they choose to! I would like to see a Peachy Keen Stamp on them but there is not enough time for them to do that! Sad face!

This is how I will keep them organized for the party! I will have little helpers passing the cuts out. I did use Zots for the googly eyes!. They can use their glue sticks to apply the bows and sentiments!

  7. Well, aren't you the clever little teacher's helper! LOL! You are an organizational freak, I can see. I would have put everything in a bucket and tell the kids to have at it! LOL!!! My jaw hit the floor when I saw all of those sour cream containers....HOLY GOBLINS, KIM! Melissa is in Domenic's class today and is in charge of the class Halloween party and craft. You two will have plenty to chat about. I think she just picked up some of those foam shapes and stuff at M's, but you know kids...give them a glue stick and they're happy as can be.
We fared much better than anticipated with the storm. No flooding, no down trees and we never lost power. Not what we were expecting, but you won't hear any complaining from me. I'm sure by the time you read this, you will be back from school, so I hope you had a fun, fun time!
