Today I wanted to make something totally fun for my husband! Long story short but we went away over Thanksgiving. I took my camera with me ~ NEVER even touched it because I had my phone. Once we got home I went to unpack and find lotion all over it and thru it! I put it in a plastic grocery bag and threw it in my bag. I never thought to look in the grocery bag, here it had lotion in that! Needless to say it was completely ruined. I have a new camera on the way thanks to some awesome advice from Emma, Cindy and Katie! Hope to have it by the end of this week! See this is why I try to keep my posts short anymore ~ just ramble on and on! Anyway I made this for my husband. See I was going to get him a new laptop for Christmas but with me doing this to our camera, he is, well t put it nicely "POOP" out of luck! So he is getting reindeer poop instead. Poor guy, he so deserves a lot more than this but I thought it would be a funny and to say thanks for thinking of me first. Also he LOVES Whoppers! I just might make these for my son's class for Christmas treats. I won't go completely crazy on them because they will just rip them apart but I thought these could be cute!
I dusted off the Circut and pulled out the Doodlecharm cartridge. Yep ~ I am not kidding about using that machine! I just love this cartridge & cut but decided to use the circle from the "Build A Banner Kit" . I think it makes the cutest noses EVER! You will see this nose again tomorrow too! Wink, Wink! I used the "Small Stitched Scalloped Bow Die" and the "Fun Sized Scallop Stitched Bow Die" and put them together! I saw a few of my fellow DT's do this and loved the idea. I think it looks so cute on the reindeer! I can also see it used on the top of the reindeer for a girl deer too.
Materials Used:
Paper ~ PTI and MME
Ink ~ Archival
Ribbon ~ May Arts
Recollection beads
Martha Stewart Glitter
eyelet
As always Thank You for always being so kind and I will be back with one more project tomorrow! Have a great day!
This is super cute!! Great little gift idea!!! TFS! HUgsxx
ReplyDeletecute...cute....cute!! Rudy is guaranteed to bring a big HO HO HO smile to someone's face. Love your idea. Love that you used your Cricut it goes so well with Miss Emma's goodies.
ReplyDeleteAdorable. I think I have to get the bow dies! TFS.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute treat. Awful to hear about your camera. I always have mine in a separate camera bag as carry on. I'm paranoid about it...especially while on a trip. At least it happened sorta after the trip. I still would be so angry at myself. I swear that I would prefer if someone else broke it. I hate it when I can't blame someone else :)
ReplyDeleteOMG, you have me crying, I'm laughing so hard about Rich being "poop" out of luck! Poor guy! At least he gets the cutest poop back! I love what you did with the reindeer - the inking and stitching, along with his adorable nose! And then using the arrow with the reindeer poop sentiment on it was just the perfect idea!
ReplyDeleteSo adorable!!!!!! I like how you used the arrow die. Great gift idea, thanks.

Very cute I adore cute little reindeer. I am so sorry about hot your camera but I'm glad you are able to get another one and hopefully for the holiday. I bought my husband a camera last year and he hardly ever uses it. Most of the time I'm not to upset except this summer when our daughter graduate from collage WHAT! It was his only responsibility that day and he could not remember it. Talk about wanting to throw the camera (at my hubby of course lol) oh well #@:( Happens. Have a blessed holiday season with or with out a camera lol
