Let's Face It Friday ~ Sew Super Cute ~ Challenge #11

Let's Face It Challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps is to use either faux stitching or real stitching! Well the faux is challenging enough to try and get those lines straight! But for me to pick up a needle and thread WAY, WAY beyond a challenge so I decided to pick the needle and the thread! I did use a template of a flower but again just holding the needle and thread, HUGE accomplishment. I don't even know how to properly sew a button back on! LOL. So terrible, I know!
I know this is yet ANOTHER flower but I had to use Emma's, My Creative Time Stamps because of the perfect sentiment. I made this card in mind for my Mom ,who does any button repair or ironing I need, she is the best! I used Peachy Keen Stamp set Snow Cuties , they are the cutest faces ever and you just don't have to use them for winter projects, so versatile! The paper is combination between Stampin Up and Paper Trey Ink. The ribbon and buttons, even though I have my grandmother's huge collection, are from Paper Trey Ink! I hope you enjoy!

  2. Now I tried to say I wasn't buying anything for the first part of the year and then I go and blow a couple hundred at PTI. That's the most I have EVER spent at one go on scrappy stuff!
    Super card!
My parents, both were raised in Natrona Heights and that's where my last surviving Grandma is. I always thought that was the most romantic town name (way better then Livermore, where I'm at! LOL!)

  8. AWESOME! Your cards is so unique and cute, but beautiful at the same time. I can't believe it is the first time you are doing real stitching, it is perfect, in addition to not being a simple straight stich. I have been wanting to try it..think I will give it a go as soon as my twine arrives. I totally was cracking up about not being able to sew because you know I am in the same boat. If you were in my scrap room a half hour ago you would have seen Doug sewing buttons back on his pants. HEHE. Oh, well.

  15. Hey...the weekend is ending and I'm so happy! LOL!
My poor Mom is on the road to recovery but things didn't turn up exactly as we'd hope at the hospital and things were fixed for the short term only as it was safer for her, so its going to all happen again. I feel awful for her and this is just adding to her list of stuff she's got to do...so any prayers would be awesome!!!
Thanks for the warm thoughts my new friend!!!

    xoxo
