My Creative Time 12 Days of Christmas ~ Day # 11

Hello and welcome to My Creative Time's 12 Days of Christmas ~ Day #12! Emma and the design team have been busy creating the cutest and most creative Christmas ideas ~ don't you think??

HUGE GIVEAWAY ALERT!
Okay, since it's Christmas, Emma decided to give away TWELVE of her FAVORITE things to ONE LUCKY person! She will announce one of the prizes for each day in her video! So by the 12th day, you will see ALL 12 items that ONE lucky person will be receiving! All you have to do is leave your comments each day! It's that simple! ALSO, **VERY IMPORTANT** Please leave your contact information so we can contact you "IF" YOU are the lucky winner!

Today I have a "JOY" block ornament for you today! I bought these wooden blocks at a local crafting store. I didn't realize they were hollow when I bought them but you know what I am so happy they were hollow! I had my husband drill holes through them. Then I painted them with some white Krylon paint. I then used the Tim Holtz clear distress crackle paint. I then used my Stampin Up punches to punch out my squares. I had no idea they would work out so perfectly for my project ~ just lucked out! I then used the "Lowercase Fun Dies"  Emma just release! Again who knew these would fit so PERFECTLY!! I then took my FAVORITE ribbon EVER from Stampin Up ~ so sad they discontinued it but so HAPPY I bought a lot of it! Anyway I taped the end that I was going to string through the block and used a metal skewer to help push it through. I knotted it at every level so it doesn't slide to much. I must admit I did not Modge Podge this yet ~ time was not on my side when I first made this and I have YET to do it! It is already on my tree!~ LOL But I do plan on it! Simple right?? Okay that is it for me today! Head on over to Emma's blog and check out all the inspiration!

If your wondering what that stick thing is on the top left of my photo ~ that is a tree up near are garden! It NEVER grows! We planted it about 12 years ago! LOL! Slooow growing! If I knew how to crop things out of a picture I TOTALLY would have!
