Throwback Thursday ~ "Do Over"

Good morning! Hope you all are having a fabulous week so far! It's almost the weekend! YAY!!
Today over at My Creative Time, Emma and the design team will be doing a Throwback Thursday ~ "Do Over"! This is when we find a card we created and just redo it! Now I have to say this was a tough challenge. Not because of finding a card but just picking one!
So I didn't have to go back too far to find one and to be honest I am scared to look back when I first started crafting/blogging! Heck just looking back a year could be frightful!
So with the card I chose to do over, I thought I had too many patterns going on and made it rather busy looking! We all know I add a ton to my cards, so I thought lets keep make this card clean and simple.  I wanted to use some of the same My Creative Time products as possible but show how different it could look. I sure hope this all makes sense because I am having a hard time concentrating because I can hear my son coughing in the other room...poor thing just started this right after school! UGH! So I need to make this super short...
Chosen Do Over Card. Click here for details.

My Do Over card
I think using a bigger oval for the vines, solid soft colors and a white background changed it up a lot! What do you think??
Materials Used:
Paper ~ PTI
Ink ~ SU and VersaFine
Ribbon ~ PTI

  3. Both are beautiful - but I do like the second one more. The white background really makes the flower and sentiment stand out.

How fun to look back but I don't think I would want to look back to far...omg, I would hope I have gotten a little better at things, lol! Your work is always amazing and you always choose just the right colors, papers and then to top it off with the fabulous bows!

  6. To be honest Kim, I like both cards. On the original I might just change the oval in back of the hello to a tone on tone or solid. The colors on both are so pretty. Your make over does look CAS...softer and light. The vine stamping design for the sentiment oval is pretty both ways but think I like the above and below a little better. Beautiful job. I would not trash the original card!
Hope your son is better soon and the rest stay healthy!

  8. Both of your cards are just beautiful my friend. I love the colors, fun patterns and gorgeous bow on the first one. Your second card has more of a soft, warm and very comforting feel to it. The blues and greens are lovely.

Hope your little guy is feeling better soon. All the grands have been sick and seem to be passing it around -we are ready for springtime!
