Whimsical Wednesday's ~ Get Well Cards For Angelo

Welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday's. This week both card teams have come together for our challenge to make cards for a very special little boy. Angelo, who is the grandson of Margie from Bella Bug Creations, who is going through a very difficult time right now. This little boy went through brain surgery last week and will begin chemotherapy next week. You can read more about Angelo on this post over at Margie's blog http://bellabugcreations.blogspot.com/2011/06/angelo.html . We hope you will all join us and make a card for Angelo too.
For my card I wanted to make it bright, colorful, cheerful and something all little boys love...trains. I used Create a Critter but decided to flip the train so it is heading in the right direction just like Angelo.

We hope you all will join us for this little boy and his family!

Materials;
Cartridges ~ Create A Critter and Everyday Paper Dolls
Paper ~ Bazzill, PTI and paper from my stash
Extras~ PTI buttons, sakura pen and liquid appliqe, embossing folder

  1. Hi Kim! This card is just absolutely adorable. We must think alike because I made him a train themed card too. Yours is fantastic with all that detail, the stitching, the layers & the personalization. Just precious! Angelo will instantly feel a smile come on when he sees this. I know I did. I simply adore the buttons for wheels and the faces on the monkey & the conductor.
    Super job!

  11. Kim, This is one cute card. I just love Angelo's name on the train. And you are right all little boys love trains. I just know he will love looking at that cute engineer.
    I also want to tell you and all of the DT members how sorry I am for not having my card up until late today. I have been traveling and got it up as soon as I could get on the internet. I tried to post it this morning while in the Atlanta airport. But had no luck. I am glad that I finally have it posted. I do not want to let anyone down.
