A Birthday Card

Hello fellow crafters! I know I have been missing a little lately! I promise to catch up real soon! Lots going on with the up coming holiday, with cleaning, shopping and everyday life! But you know what there is something VERY special happening this Friday! Click here to keep checking for details! Can't say much but I know one thing ~ your gonna want this or these! Okay no more because I just might slip!!!

So today I am sharing with you a card I made for my son's friend! His birthday party was this weekend! He LOVES the colors orange and black! So I thought that should be easy enough! Well I must say it was not for me! I just struggle with this card for so long! Your probably sitting there thinking ~ doesn't look hard at all! I think I just had a mental block! Maybe the orange and black was throwing me off! But I must say using Emma's new alphabet dies SERIOUSLY saved the day!! I LOVE these little guys!!! I did use my Circut ~ yes ~ I dusted it off and thought lets give it a try! I did use a capital "T" for this card! Since this little boy notices EVERYTHING ( he is very, very smart) and being that he is in first grade I better make this card using proper writing! Next time ~ I am not going to do that! Emma's dies are to much fun not to use! Anyway I did make it an easel card and threw on a few extras. There is also a hint on this card as to what is to come VERY VERY soon! My goal is this week to keep my post VERY short! Lets hope I keep my word!

My Creative Time "Fontabulous" Blog Hop Day #1

Welcome to My Creative Time's Fontabulous Blog Hop Day #1!! You should have arrived from the super talented & creative Miss Katie's blog ~ if not there will be a complete list below this post as well as tomorrow's list! But just in case you happen to stumble on by head over to Emma's blog at My Creative Time and start from the beginning! I am the last one for today but make sure you hop along with us tomorrow too!

For my project today I wanted to keep it very simple! I have seen so many AMAZING CAS projects that I wanted to give it a try!  So I decided to take one of Emma's "Tag Dies" and make a card out of it! I just folded the paper in half and ran it through my Big Shot, Then I took another piece of paper and ran the tag again for my top layer! Simple right! Well I LOVE these "Lowercase Fun Dies" and knew I wanted to try some chipboard. I have white chipboard and it just went through it like butter! I used the "Vintage Label Dies" for my sentiment! LOVE Emma's signature stitching  ~ don't you! I found this sentiment from"Gift Card Sentiments" and just masked off the Merry part. Added some jingle bells from my stash and of course a big ole bow!!

 

As Emma stated in her video on Wednesday, she is offering a free CUTE stamp set "Thank You Hugs" to everyone who places their order by Sunday @ midnite! My Creative Time Sneak Peak Day #3

Hello ~ Today is day #3 of My Creative Time Sneak Peeks! I told you ALL this was a "Fontabulous" release! Today Emma and the design team will be showcasing the "Vintage Label Stamps" , "Vintage Label Dies" and "Vintage Label Sentiments" . Oh my these are AMAZING!! The best part about these is that there is a label stitched die that comes with the vintage die!! I showed them the past two days and even today! So many of Emma's stamps fit on the label die ~ endless sentiments!

So for my card today I needed to make a baby card for a sweet family friend! She just had a baby boy! I am over the moon with excitement for them all! So I thought it would be a perfect time to use the new die. I stamped my image on it and decided to use the circle die from the "Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies" to cut out the center. Best thing is you don't have to do that! I could have placed the circle die right on top but chose not too. Anyway the new vintage sentiments fit PERFECTLY in the new label die! Lots of choices of sentiments to pick from there too! This is one of the new sentiments from that stamp set! I also used the new "Lowercase Fun Dies" for the baby's initials. But I wanted the center letter to pop so I pulled out the plane die. I think the plane adds such a nice little touch for a baby boy card!  For some reason my green ribbon looks funky in all my pictures! i promise it isn't that bad in person!

My Creative Time Sneak Peek Day #2

Hello welcome to My Creative Time Sneak Peek #2! Thought yesterday was "Fontabulous" wait for today!! Today the ladies will be showcasing "Lowercase Fun Dies" . Yep ~ Miss Emma came out with alphabet dies! YEAH!!! I have been wanting these forever!!! Thank You Emma!!! I just LOVE them!! Today I wanted to share with you a card I made using the "Circle Font" stamps! When I first saw them I knew what I wanted to make! I looked at the letter then noticed the numbers! First thing that came to mind was a vintage phone or retro phone! What ever they call it! The ones that if you didn't go all the way to the stop you had to start over again! Unfortunately I REMEMBER these phones! Just shows you how old I am! I miss these phones to be honest! Anyway I used my Cricut and my Gypsy! ! Yes ~ you heard me right! I chose the phone card from the Wild Card cartridge. I must admit this card is one BIG, BIG card! In order to adapt my number and circles it had to be!!! It fits in a 6x9 envelope ~. Huge right but I must say I love how this turned out! The new "Circle Font" stamps fit PERFECTLY in the circle die from the "Build A Banner Kit" stamp set. I used the "Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies" for my center. I didn't want to use the paper phone cord that they had. Good thing I remembered Debbie ( sweet and CLEVER friend) from  Bugjuiced is MCT's Friday Tip gal! She had a tutorial about how to make twine or just about anything squiggly!! You can click here and here to see her tip! I LOVE how this turned out too! GREAT idea Debbie!!! It was easy too!! Oh there is another little sneak on this card too!! My Creative Time Day #1 Sneak Peak

Good morning and Happy Monday! Today is day #1 of My Creative Time Sneak Peeks! Emma has one "Fontabulous" release for you all! If I do say so myself ~ this might be my FAVORITE of all time! Okay I know I say that every release but this just might be!!! Today Emma and a few of the MCT designers will be showcasing the "Circle Font" and the "Label Font". I promise not to keep you long ~ I want you to head on over to Emma's blog , click here, to see all the awesome creations everyone has come up with!!!

So for my project today I need to make something for my niece! She was in a cheer competition this weekend so I just wanted to tell her congrats! See I know how AMAZING she is ~ so I knew she would do fabulous! Her team uniform is black, red and white with LOTS of bling to it! I am not a bling person but I wanted to personalize it ~ so I went for it ~ the bling!! I must say her teams uniforms stood out the most because of ALL the bling! After completing this ~ I actually LOVE how it turned out! She did too! I MUST add more bling to my projects ~ step out of my comfort zone! Anyway I promised I wouldn't keep you long and here I am just babbling away!!!

I decided to make her a tag instead of a card! She can use this for a bookmark if she wants or put it on her bulletin board in her room! So the stamps I used to write my "CONGRATS" on is from the new "Label Font" stamp set! I LOVE it! You can do one of two things have the letter close together or far apart! Anyway you want or like!  Not sure if you noticed but there is another sneak on my tag but I will let you guess what it is! hehehe!
