Good morning! Today over at
My Creative Time it's
What a Treat Wednesday! This is when
Emma and the design team create any type of treat we want! I knew I wanted to use the new dies from the
Stitched Puzzle Pieces Dies and the stamp set,
The Last Piece to Our Family because I wanted to use Reese's pieces for my candy/treat. I thought the play with words for this candy was sort of fun! But I didn't know exactly how I wanted to present them. I was talking with my design team member/friend,
Ruthie, and this idea was born! Thanks
Ruthie for all the help! So I took the largest rectangular die from the
Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More and scored it at 7/8, then flipped it around and scored it 1 1/4. By scoring at these measurements, it gives it a little overlap to seal in the back. I die cut out my window using the
Stitched Puzzle Pieces Dies. I added some score tape at the bottom so the yummy Reese's candies wouldn't fall out. Once I filled my little container with candy I added score tape to the top and punched a hole for my tag.
Materials Used:
(inspired by a few of my fellow DT sisters)
Stitched Round Tab, Arrow & Tag Dies
Paper ~ PTI
Ribbon ~ PTI
Ink ~ VersaFine, VersaMark and Archival
clear embossing powder
That is all for me today! Make sure you head on over to
My Creative Time to see what
Emma and the design team has created today!

ReplyDeleteYour play on words is such a clever idea. The way you used the large rectangular die is a super idea. Love the stamped dots too. I might have to buy some of this candy and scraplift this idea. I wonder how many I would need to fill so there is just a LITTLE BIT of pieces for me (not 2/3 of a bag)? Fabulous job and idea.
