MCT ~ Arpil Release Sneak Peek Day 4

Today is the final day of My Creative Time April Sneak Peeks! But don't worry, Emma and the design team will be back tomorrow with a blog hop! Today we will be showcasing the stamp set/die set, Thanks For The Lift and Enjoy the Little Things stamp. Oh my the Thanks For The Lift stamp set is seriously ADORABLE!! It has the CUTEST airplane with banner. But the BEST part of this stamp set is it has so many wonderful sentiments and 3 of them are so nice a big! They could be used by themselves!!
So for my project today I wanted to use the silver embossing powder along with these colors. I just thought this was such an AWESOME color combination and something I would not normally attempt! I heat embossed the plane, banner, sentiments and hearts. So simple right? Then added my favorite SU ribbon and called it a day! Oh I cant wait until you all see this set (okay all the sets) tomorrow in Emma's video ~ this is another must have set in my opinion but I thought that all week and actually every release! LOL!

Paper ~ PTI & SU

MCT ~ Arpil Release Sneak Peek Day 3

Good morning! I can't believe we are Day #3 of the April My Creative Time Sneak Peeks! Aren't you just amazed by all these talented ladies! I know I am! Wow!
Today Emma and the design team will be showcasing the sets The Sky Is The Limit and Fun Stitched Clouds. If you remember awhile back, Emma said she was revamping a few sets well guess what, here they are! You are going to want this AMAZING hot air balloon and the new clouds! The hot air balloon is a lot bigger than the last version and the clouds have stitching on the outside. Just LOVE these! Plus the there are 2 different banners in this set!
For my project today I thought why not try to use washi tape again and paper piece my hot air balloon and banner. I have enough washi tape that seems to just sit around. I just laid the tape on a piece of white paper and used Stazon ink to stamp my image. I did this with my banner as well. The Scalloped Stitched Oval Dies work perfectly with this hot air balloon too! I am not used to using bright, bold and fun colors but I am thinking I need too more often, I really liked how this card turned out!

Materials Used:
Paper ~ PTI
Ink ~ VersaFine, VersaMark, Stazon, PTI and Tim Holtz
Ribbon ~ PTI
MME washi tape
Kaiser rhinestones

MCT ~ April Release Sneak Peek Day 2

Welcome to Day #2 of the April My Creative Time Sneak Peeks. Today Emma and the design team will be sharing projects made with the new stamp and die set, Believe In Your Dreams. This set is filled with a variety of sentiments and can be used in so many various ways. Plus it has 3 fabulous feathers and a few hearts!
I chose to make a very simple sympathy card. You know the ones we tend to put off making because they are so difficult. The colors I chose are soft, subtle and hopefully soothing. I heat embossed the feathers with white embossing powder then die cut them out. I used the Build a Scripty & Watercolor Background for my background and I think it works perfectly with the feathers. Nothing too fancy but hopefully comforting to the recipient.

Materials Used:
Paper ~ PTI
Ink ~ SU, PTI and VersaMark
Button ~ PTI
Hemp ~ PTI

MCT ~ April Release Sneak Peek Day 1

Good morning! Welcome to Day #1 of the April My Creative Time Release! Lets just say Emma has done an AMAZING job again with this release! I know we all can't wait to share this release with you all! I promise to keep my posts super short this week ~ I wouldn't want you to miss not one thing!
Today Emma and the design team will be showcasing the sets You're My Hero and the Bunch of Stitched Stars. I just adore these sets and the best part is they work PERFECTLY together! I love the size of the sentiments from the You're My Hero stamp set. This set can be for encouragement, masculine, children, friends ~ I mean the list goes on! I can see them being used for layouts as well!
I decided to make a tag like star for my son, who starts PSSA testing today. These knew sets couldn't have come at a more perfect time! I wanted to make him something special just to let him know how proud I am of him. Since our home town teams are black and yellow , though some say gold, I thought these would be fun color combination.  My big yellow star was created with washi tape and so were my little stars too, just by using the scrap piece. I used the  4x4 Journal Die + More to create those adorable little stars.

Materials Used:
Paper ~ PTI
Ribbon ~ PTI
Ink ~ VersaFine, VersaMark
MME washi tape
embossing powder

MCT ~ Trending Now ~ Stencil It

Good morning! Today Emma and the design team over at My Creative Time are back with another Trending Now segment! This time around, its all about stencils. We could create a background or focal point with any die we wanted. You just have to take whatever die(s) we want and stamp away.
So I looked through all my awesome MCT dies and just couldn't resist using the Stitched Daisy Die. I just adore daisies and thought why not try to make a focal point using this die. I die cut the daisy and stem out with acetate. Used the negative part of the acetate. I used three different Tim Holtz inks and just had some fun. I had to mask off some areas but that was super simple. Then I thought it needed some leaves and thought of the Stitched Pretty Flower & Leaves set. For the center of my flowers I used Glossy accents and dry TH distressed glitter. Super simple card and I think I will try this again sometime soon!
Materials Used:
Paper ~ PTI
Ink ~ Tim Holtz
Tim Holtz Dry Distressed glitter
Copic ~ W0
Signo Pen
Kaiser rhinestone
hemp

MCT ~ Scrapping The Little Things

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! We sure did!
Well today is Scrapping The Little Things over at My Creative Time with Emma and the design team.
I love this picture of my son at one of his tournaments last summer. He was just focused on the game behind him and I thought it was a perfect picture. He loves baseball and I thought how am I going to show that with little words. Then I remember the stamp, Dream Bigger and thought how PERFECT is this stamp for this picture. So I thought putting in the biggest heart die from the Heart 2 Heart Love Frame. But then I took it a step further by stamping an image from the It's All About You stamp set. I thought why not try to make it look like a baseball. So I proceeded to do this to one of the circle dies from Bunch of Fun Circle Dies. Now I must confess here, I never noticed I stamped the wrong year until my husband saw the layout sitting on my desk! I will have to change it at a later time...sigh! How stupid right?? I will list all materials below.

Materials Used:
Paper ~ PTI, SU and some from my stash
Ink ~ VersFine and Archival
vinyl

MCT ~ What a Treat Wednesday

Hello and HAPPY Wednesday! So excited because my son only has two days left of school before Easter break starts. Well the one day break, yes only one day off, since we lost the other to cancellations! Sigh, but I will take that one day!
Any way, today is What a Treat Wednesday over at My Creative Time with Emma and the design team! I LOVE this day because we get to make and use the best products out there!
Today I wanted to use the new Milk Carton Die. I think it is so darn CUTE! The best part is the Mini Chalkboard Tags fit perfectly with the cartons. Plus with the last release, Emma has a top layer for the tag that can be found in the Fun Stitched Tag Dies.
So I thought I would use the biggest egg from the set, Hello Chickie, and make a window. Then I doubled up the basket to fit over the window and added the Stitched Grass Die.I used white cardboard, so I could tie a bow around the handle. Super simple and so easy to mass produce for a simple Easter gift!
What do you think?
Materials Used:
Paper ~ PTI & acetate
Ink ~ VersaFine
seam binding
twine
